John’s place is perfect for a family getaway. Lots of room for us to spread out and relax. The view from the house is gorgeous. It was a treat enjoying a cup of coffee/tea on the deck. I would recommend it to any travel group visiting the area.

If you would like to have coffee in watching the sunrise or dinner watching the sunset, this place is perfect, the deck wraps completely around with 360° spectacular views. Loved our stay, thank you so much Peter!

From the moment we arrived, the experience felt like an adventure. The long, scenic driveway set the tone, leading up to a charming vintage-style house on a vast, lush property surrounded by paddocks and trees. The location is incredibly private—perfect for a peaceful retreat in the Far North. A lovely walking track takes you to the lake, adding to the property’s charm. The house is spacious and well-equipped, featuring a powerful shower, a dishwasher, and a free-to-use washing machine and dryer. There’s also an outdoor BBQ, WiFi, and a TV with Sky, Netflix, Disney+, and more. The kitchen has everything you need, including a great oven and stove. The beds are comfortable, and the home has all the essentials for a relaxing stay. To top it off, the host is fantastic—always available if needed but respectful of privacy.

Monica is a warm and gracious host and we loved having the opportunity to enjoy this beautiful home. It is an impressive Americal style country house, showcasing fascinating treasures. The living area is warm and welcoming, with large windows providing beautiful country panoramas. All rooms have interesting nooks to relax in and the attractive, fully equipped kitchen and bathrooms are wonderfully functional.

Wonderful place with the most amazing views of the beach. The large deck was great and sheltered from the winds. We had a great time and really enjoyed the space. Very close to accessing the beach for 90mile or to get across the rocks at Shippies. Would come again with friends.

We had a great weekend trip away at Bobba’s Bach, it was exactly what we wanted for our family of 7. Peaceful and private, with room for all of us, and didn’t feel squished. Was suitable for young children too with big back yard, and walking distance to Russel and other surroundings. We will definitely be back next summer.

We almost don’t want to give away too much because we loved our stay so much and don’t want to see it booked out so we can make sure we can come back!!What absolutely sensational spot this is, right from the start when we walked into the lovely ambience of jazz music we were greeted with spectacular views all round the house. The space was so groovy and cosy and we felt right at home, Karl was fantastic in being responsive whenever we had any issues. We loved all the different places to sit and take in the views and each one was so comfortable!! We had gorgeous warm and private swims in the water by the house in the evenings and felt like we were in a tropical landscape when we sat down to dinner at the outdoor table watching the sunset. Karl left some beer and wine which we enjoyed in the spa at golden hour listening to what looked like a set up playlist with great songs on the usb connected to the stereo! Honestley could not have loved this place more, we will be back!!

Perfect place to stay in the perfect location!

One of the best Air BnB's we've stayed in. A lovely place with comfortable beds and furniture, amenities such as dishwasher and washing machine, a very nice vibe and tranquil surroundings. About 20 minutes' easy drive from town. Tony was a friendly, helpful host. Highly recommended!

Nous y avons passé deux jours. C’était simplement formidable et je dois avouer que je ne suis pas si facile à séduire. La décoration est soignée et bien pensée. La maison est extrêmement bien équipée. Les draps sont en lin lavé. Les couleurs sont harmonieuses. Espace très privé. La maison est entourée par la nature le jour le paysage est sublime et la nuit le ciel est ultra étoilé. N’hésitez pas une seconde. Restez y au moins trois nuits. J’y serais bien restée une semaine. Merci!

This accomodation is full of personality and it is an interesting and enjoyable space to be in . While the Dairy Factory is an old building ,all the surfaces are freshly painted ,clean and well cared for. The fresh flowers and produce bring a welcoming touch .I will definitely recommend and will definitely return with the team I work with.Many thanks Sue

The place is amazing, very large living area with many very clean and decently spaced rooms. I wasn’t aware of the 5-10 minute gravel road the house is on. Daniel was amazing at communicating when I need to get in touch with him however the packing up procedure could have been outlined better, but other than that the four informative emails sent outlined everything needed for our stay. The view is just as amazing in person as the photos both sunrise and sunset, especially lounging in the spa.

We had a 6 day family Christmas Holiday here and it couldn't have been nicer. Daniel and Angela met us when we arrived and explained the various systems such as pool, TV, internet, etc. They were available nearby in case we needed them (which turned out we did not), but did not intrude in our privacy. The actual facilities were even nicer than the photos and descriptions provided in the AirBnB listing. One of the special things about this home displayed was the care and art that the hosts have put into it. Everything is amazing. It is ultra-private and it seems as if you are alone in the forest overlooking a beautiful valley. The view from the upstairs master suite is awesome. Our two grandkids spent hours each day in this nice, clean, warm pool. The pool - patio area was well done and relaxing for lounging between swims. . I would HIGHLY recommend this property and hosts.

Fabulous homestead, lovely views, clean linen, plenty of platters, glasses etc for entertaining. Lovely ensuites. Was a perfect location for our family celebration. Close to beaches and restaurants.

Five adults and six children had a wonderful weekend in Mangawhai, using Carolynn's house as our base. There was plenty of space for everyone to find their own corner, both inside and out. The kitchen was big enough for several cooks to work in at once and the dining table was big enough for us to all sit around so mealtimes were a treat, not a chore. Amazing view to the east, including sunrise across water and moonscape sand dunes. The spa at the end of the day was a special treat for our family, as was the large TV screen in the lounge. We missed a few books and board games but everything else was in good supply. Thank you for a special long weekend with my family Carolynn.

A beautiful home that was well equipped for a busy Christmas Day with family. The outlook was simply breathtaking. We enjoyed the alfresco areas, playing pétanque and finding the tree swing. A simply beautiful retreat to relax and unwind.

Staff loved It, nice and private and plenty of clean rooms

Incredible location and home for a large group looking to spend time together. We were four adult couples and two toddlers. The space was perfect, having a bunk room and separate lounge for the little ones with enough bathrooms and privacy in different zones around the house. Direct beach access, quick walk to the local shop, cafe, playground and surfclub. Can't wait to come back!

Absolutely beautiful property and Shailesh was an amazing host! From ensuring we had everything we needed before checkin, to providing welcoming touches to the property on arrival, and giving us extra time to check out because we didn’t want to leave. We had a great time enjoying the expansive views from either the shared areas, or waking up to them from the gorgeous bedrooms, or the open plan bathrooms. Absolute luxury and would definitely recommend for functions or private getaways. Thanks Shailesh we really appreciated all that you did for us 🙏
