Words cannot describe how amazing Simone is and her gorgeous retreat. I took my Dad away for a little trip away as he is rather poorly and the original place I had booked was appalling! So bad I refused to stay. Thinking I'd have to take my Dad back home as finding somewhere suitable for his needs is slim picking, never mind on an August Friday night at 6pm, last weekend of the summer holidays. Nevertheless, after refusing to give up I found this gem, both in Simone and her retreat. Just what we needed . Simone went above and beyond from the second I placed the booking, she rang me straight away, said she would met us there, she had the retreat warming through for us, lights on and made us feel absolutely at home. So much so I had to give her a hug. The whole experience from start to finish was 10 star. The place is beautiful, the views are outstanding, area is perfect. My Dad is dying to go back already. And I can't wait to take him. See you soon x

Enjoyed my time at the wigwam and would like to stay there again in the future Perfect location.

The Shepards hut was set in a beautiful, idyllic area of Northumbria. The hut itself was spotless and well decorated and it had a real cozy feel to it. The radiators did a great job of warming the place up when necessary and the owners were responsive, informative and friendly. Our only complaint was there were very strong winds on the second night of our stay and the whistles coming through the cracks in the structure were very noisy! But, can’t really be helped and it wouldn’t stop us from retuning again.

The host was very helpful. The accommodation was just right for me.

We had an amazing stay at the Orchard hideaway - it is in beautiful, rural and peaceful surroundings, and is exactly like the photos. It is private, warm and very clean, the hot tub is great and well maintained, and the host has thought of everything to make it a comfortable relaxing stay. We would love to come back and 100% recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay at Ben's Hut! We loved the accommodation; it was cosy, comfortable and completely unique - and the landscape and views were wonderful. A really memorable stay!

Me and my boyfriend stayed for a night and absolutely loved it 🥰 couldn’t have asked for a better time or better hosts! We have already decided that we will be staying again on our next trip to Northumberland. Fred and George the ponies, and all 5 doggies were lush. Both ponies greeted us as we were driving in and it absolutely made my day. Highly recommend this wonderful place 🫶🏼

everything was super easy. This is our first experience with air b&b and it couldn't have gone better. Sarah was easy to respond and proactive to 1 or 2 very minor issues we had (tv remote -no big deal). The cabin was so nice! we were greeted with some northumberland treats which was a great touch! the cabin was clean and dog friendly with an enclosed garden area. We did clean up a bit before we left because we've a shedding dog! and didn't want to leave it. The hot tub was stunning, it was a short time in the tub for us, but the time we spent looking at the stars through the trees, in the dark and privacy was magical! just the relaxing time we needed for our 15th anniversary together. I think at 1 point we were the only people in the whole site, but it never felt at all uneasy, just peaceful. It's quite close to Morpeth, though you'd never guess. We seen lots of wildlife including deer, pheasants and squirrel, and ofcourse, lots of birds. We had a wonderful time.

John has managed to create something simple yet exceptional with The Wrack & Croy. It's a little slice of heaven that allows you to connect with nature and yourself. You've likely never seen the night sky so brilliantly bright, with stars scattered like white confetti across a black canvas. Nor have you experienced silence so deep and surreal, broken only by the occasional bird's chirp or a sheep's bleat. The grounds are completely private and undisturbed, and it’s easy to feel like you’re the last person on earth. The location is also accessible via public transport, and John's directions to the farm were impeccable. He was kind enough to drop me off at the train station when I left and is truly an absolute sweetheart of a guy. I loved chatting with him and learning more about what inspired him to create and share this delightful place. I cannot recommend The Wrack & Croy highly enough and will undoubtedly be planning another visit soon.

The place was beautiful. Totally secluded, never saw anyone until the final day. The surroundings are beautiful, and the starry nights incredible. With the wind we never got chance to go explore the local walks, but will definitely be back so can do this all next time. Light the fire and relax for a few days, it was perfect. Diana was very helpful and responsive. Instructions on checking in, using facilities, local recommendations etc. were very clear. Thank you.

Superb location, beautiful sea views and stunning sun rises both days of our stay! Immaculately clean with everything we could need, and really well stocked! The heating system was fantastic which is a must in the winter months! Would definitely stay here again during the summer time the kids absolutely loved it!

Second time here….. totally love it… like stepping into a world that has totally slowed down…. Super cosy and exceptionally unique

The bluebell was spotless on arrival and beautifully done. Everything you need in the kitchen for basic food prep if staying in, big comfy bed and beautiful surroundings. Peter was welcoming and helpful on arrival and introduced us to the animals and showed us around but did not intrude during the rest of the stay, although we knew how to reach him if needed. Jacob the donkey gave us a delightful welcome and was one of the highlights of our visit. It was lovely seeing all of the other animals too. Great location for exploring lots of Northumberland. Would definitely recommend and we would definitely stay again.

Absolutely fabulous location. The Shepherd Hut was spotless and very quirky. It had everything you could possibly need for a weekend away. Very nice to be welcomed with a bottle of wine, biscuits and organic eggs fresh from the farm. It felt like home from home. Thank you for a wonderful weekend away.

Lovely hut in beautiful surroundings. Attention to detail and some thoughtful little extras made us feel welcome, warm and cosy (despite the freezing weather!), very much home from home. Perfect location for walking and exploring the countryside. Unfortunately it was too cloudy for star gazing but we'd love to come back!

Thank you Ross and Katrina for a fantastic weekend getaway. The bothy is a firm favourite and we will absolutely be back! The wood burning stove came with wood and we were given breakfast ingredients/ milk for the first morning which was gratefully received. The bothy is perfectly equipped with WiFi, heating, linen, walking maps, local suggestions, tv Netflix, sound system. It’s the perfect private retreat for a weekend of wine, board games, movies, and walks in beautiful Northumberland. The closest pub is Travellers Rest which is about 20 min walk / 3 min drive. To note: they don’t serve food on Fridays but there’s a street food van outside, you are allowed to bring the food into the pub to eat. Ross and Katrina are gracious hosts. Thank you so much!

we have used this caravan on a number of occasions over the last 5 years or so and have always been impressed by how well it is maintained and cleaned. would recommend wholeheartedly.

Exceptional spot, feels like something straight out of Grand Designs. We much appreciated the excellent views of the sea, nearby chickens that made friendly visits and the birdwatching set-up. Northumberland has lots to see and this is the perfect location for that: quiet without feeling isolated. Geno was a very friendly and proactive host even providing fresh bread and milk. My only suggestion for other guests is perhaps to bring an eye-mask if you are very light sensitive— fortunately we wear them habitually, so this wasn’t an issue for us.

Our stay at Curlew was idyllic, with gorgeous views and starry nights! The hot tub took a bit of practice but Katie was quick to respond when we had questions. The scenery was stunning and we enjoyed walking over the hill to the pub - Katie had left some printed suggested routes for local walks straight from the hut which were really useful! The bed was really comfy and you can’t beat the view in the morning! The heating and shower were also great. The kitchen was fine with everything we needed to cook for a few meals. Overall I would highly recommend and we can’t wait to go back!

Although the house was difficult to find, the host came soon to guide us. The view was amazing and the stove was warm and cozy.
