This place is actually beautiful really a home from home place. We stayed at Birch lodge which was so warm and welcoming. Your surrounded by the sounds of nature day and night, which is very peaceful and serene. The hot tub is an added touch, where you can gaze at the stars whilst the bubbles surround you. I really valued the privacy of each lodge, which backs onto a nice green area at the back. Ian was most accmodating, awnsering any questions we had, but they made sure they answered most questions through the instructions that was left for us. Thoughtful. Sad to be leaving but Upthorpe Lodges will deffo see us again, when we want to escape the hustle and bustle of London, and connect with nature.

Absolutely stunning lodge, was exactly what we wanted. Very spacious and was bigger than expected. The hot tub added a little extra something. Everything you would need for a weekend stay. Fantastic surroundings, including the friendly horses that would come to their gate for a stroke. Beautiful location with a country park not far for a great walk. Overall a brilliant stay and would highly recommend!

We absolutely adored our stay. Blissfully peaceful, clean and had all that we could have asked for. We loved the visiting ducks and having duck food provided was fantastic! So much to do locally that there's something for everyone. But so cosy and inviting that I could have easily relaxed at the lodge all week with a book series! I cannot thank the hosts enough for how friendly and helpful they were/are. I cannot recommend this place enough! Book it! And have a wonderful holiday!

We stayed at this beautiful lodge for a girls’ weekend to celebrate a 40th birthday, and it was absolutely stunning. The decor was stylish and welcoming, making it feel like a home away from home. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the peaceful location made it the perfect place to unwind. We all had an amazing time, and while there was no WiFi, it actually encouraged us to have more conversations and truly enjoy each other’s company—making the experience even more special. Overall, a fantastic stay, and we’d definitely recommend it!

A great location. A smart brand new cabin. Well furnished set in the grounds of the Sea Marge hotel. Restaurant can be booked and cabin guests can order from the restaurant and have it delivered to their cabin or the hotel will take deliveries from some takeaway outlets. Hot tub was wonderful and the beach walks are to die for. We will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful weekend trip to the caravan. It was spotless, communication was quick and efficient. Any issues were officially relayed to us and vice versa. Suzanne and her husband were very friendly and on hand to help with any issues which arose. Thank you so much for your understanding, patience and a wonderful birthday trip!

Thank you to Sofia hosting her place and being a great host. I decided to take our 2 young children and dog on a trip to Norfolk and they loved it. The chalet was just what we needed and as described. We wanted a place close to the beach for dog walks and for days out. The chalet is on a peaceful site which has well kept gardens. We managed to try out the Ship Inn a couple of times, food was good and also atmosphere. We didn't manage to test the village cafe unfortunately. Thank you again and hopefully we will be back.

We had a wonderful stay at this peaceful lodge! Right from the start, our host was incredibly helpful and responsive, ensuring we had everything for a comfortable visit. The lodge was spotless, cozy, and well-equipped, with thoughtful touches like biscuits and frozen croissants to bake fresh for breakfast—a delightful treat! The hot tub was perfect for unwinding, and the host’s recommendations on nearby restaurants and local spots to explore around Norfolk were spot-on. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway!

Lovely space, attention to detail was great. A wonderful welcome pack, even for our little dog Chip. Bedding, towels immaculate. Easy walking distance to amenities a little further for beach but well worth it. Loving the outside decking & patio too. We hope to book again for next year/ Great Host !

This was the second time me and my family have stayed at Lisa’s place with our dog and we loved it. Thank you so much for having us back we throughly enjoyed our stay and will be back i am sure ! X

If you want to stay close to Norwich but be in the countryside this is ideal. Quiet and private with good food options nearby. Recommended.

We had a great stay at The Cabin. Very cosy inside and good to have a bit of private outside space. Might not be to everyone's taste if you're looking for the quaint seaside fisherman's cottage experience (of which there are plenty) but this suited us perfectly and we really appreciated it being dog friendly. Great location for walking to the beach, pubs, Sheringham town, the museum and arts centre all right on the doorstep. It was our first trip to north Norfolk and we'll be back. Really loved the area and The Cabin was a perfect base from which to explore.

We had a lovely stay with the dog! Particularly enjoyed the paddock behind and saying morning to the neighbouring horses. Views amazing from the cabin and plenty of nearby walks. We strolled into the village and visited a local tea room for lunch and spotted 3 deers on route on the old railway walk. Bed was comfortable and all amenities to hand! Hope to stay again!

great little space, very clever use of space and mod cons. everything you need and cosy. short hop to wonderful places such as southwold abd aldeburgh. great host, would recommend

A lovely place to stay, big, beautiful and with two massive south facing doors. We had a lovely time. The property was very modern and had everything we needed. Highly recommended!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our break here. It was just the restful and relaxing retreat we needed. Very comfortable accommodation in a beautiful location. We found some very pleasant walking routes from the accommodation. Wonderful to use the log burner and stay cosy in such cold weather. Our greyhound loved her stay too & The pool was fantastic!! Very happy, will visit again ☺️

Stayed with our two young children. A lovely little place with generous hosts who had stocked up on some goodies for our arrival. They live on the site further up the drive and were very responsive when I had a query about the cooker which turned out to be my ineptitude more than anything else. Really lovely setting, great for children (I’d recommend bringing bikes) and walking around. Our two appreciated the climbing frame on site. There’s no central heating but the electric radiators placed around made up for it. The TV also was kitted out with loads of functioning apps. I imagine it would be wonderful there in the summer.

Fantastic little place. Had everything we needed and more. Well equipped!! Lovely peaceful location. Convenient to town for shopping, pizza etc.

Wife and I just spent the weekend in the Bothy. It is exactly as you imagine it from the description and pictures. Full of charm and quirkiness. The weather (for February) was actually very mild but we still had the log burner going both nights which made the place really homely. Getting up and down to the bed was not as challenging as we thought that it was going to be and the bed itself was really comfy. The shower room and the tables and chairs etc. were totally fine for what we needed. Tim was really helpful and readily available when required and dealt very promptly with any questions we had when booking. Can't really think of anything negative to say about our stay. We found a couple of nice pubs within walking distance albeit mostly reached on the local B roads which were never that busy. There is a good bus service which runs from Kings Lynn through to Fakenham and back which we used both days to get to and from Wells and a lovely walk you can do along the coastal path.

Lovely place to stay, right next to Sheringham woods and Beeston common. If you want a peaceful retreat, surrounded by nature, with lovely walks to the Norfolk Coast, this is the place for you. The accommodation was lovely, with everything we needed for a cosy few days away. Sheringham town centre is a 35 minute walk away, the best route we found was into Sheringham Woods, then onto Common Lane, but for a more leisurely walk take the routs into Beeston Common, which comes out with a view across to Beeston Hill. The walks into Sheringham are not really suitable in the dark, unless you are really confident with the route and have good torches!

We had a wonderful stay in this beautifully converted carriage even though it was unfortunately just for the one night. The carriage had everything you could need and was so thoughtfully laid out. Lovely to see a fresh jug of milk in the fridge instead of the usual dried creamer sachets or UHT cartons. The bed and bedding I think were the comfiest we’ve had anywhere, we slept so well! The setting added to that massively, so peaceful, we heard nothing but bird song all day (apart from the odd toot from the wonderful local steam train) and it was silent at night. Convenient for accessing all the market towns and villages in the Aylsham area and not far from the coast either. Perfect!
