We had a great stay at The Fern with our two dogs. The secure garden with hot tub was very private and the fields on the site were perfect for our dogs to run around. We loved the puzzle box! Having an EV charger on site was a great feature too, that we made good use of. The space downstairs was very generous and well equipped. The bed upstairs was huge and the view from the window across the site was fantastic, especially at sunrise. Nigel was very friendly and responsive, providing lots of local info for things to do. Thank you for a fab stay!

We had a fantastic stay at Peacock Lake. Everything is as described, with all the facilities that you need for a relaxing break. I would highly recommend! I hope to be back in the near future.

Really lovely place perfect for a "get away from it all" stay. Hot tub was a great addition. Very clean and tidy, has everything you need. The toiletries were a lovely touch. Wish we could have stayed for longer. Maybe next time.

This is a great base to explore Lincoln, Newark and Sherwood Forest. Lots of walks and history in the area. Philip recommended 2 great pubs, Prince Rupert in Newark and Hare & Hounds in Fulbeck. We also really enjoyed the Alpacca Farm and Doddington House. Philip lives close by and came to greet us on arrival. He is very friendly and helpful. The hot tub was great and accommodation very clean.

We really enjoyed our short break, the kids loved the hot tub. We walked our dog in the beautiful gardens and surrounding areas. A great way to unwind, relax and enjoy quality family time.

We had a great stay in Bolsover. The accommodation is in the middle of the village so you’re close to shops, pubs, cafes - but also tucked away so very private and quiet.

A lovely well presented accommodation with everything you need for a good night’s rest. Very convenient for a mid way stop off. Would certainly recommend.

Joy and Shaun were perfect hosts, responsive to any questions before we arrived and when we were there. Lovely people. The accommodation was perfect and they went above and beyond in provisioning essentials and lovely little extras. The Lincoln Plum bread is well worth trying. Excellent location for visiting Lincoln (about 20mins drive) and the coast. (About 1 hours drive away) Recommend Papas fish and chips on the pier at Cleethorpes.

I know the area and needed a place to stay. The home was welcoming and warm. Everything you could need was available. It was clean and tidy. There was plenty of space, so if I had been travelling with family it would still have been big enough

sehr schönes Cottage mit steiler Treppe ins Schlafzimmer aber gut machbar ( Teppich und daher nicht rutschig) sehr schöne Küche und Möbel. kleiner eingezäunter Garten war Ideal für die Hunde. Die Kommunikation war einwandfrei. die Google Maps Angaben haben nicht gestimmt. Daher konnten wir es zunächst nicht finden aber nach einem Anruf beim Vermieter, kam sofort jemand raus, der uns zum Cottage gebracht hat. Wir hatten einen sehr guten Aufenthalt und kommen gerne wieder. 100% empfehlenswert und super auch ein großea Einkaufszentrum nur ein paar Meilen entfernt ist. Ebenso der Sherwood Forest und Creswell Crags sind einen Besuch wert.

The coffin makers cottage was beautifully presented, super clean and just what we were looking for. Warm and cosy with all required amenities. We felt right at home. Would highly recommend.

An absolute BEAUT of a place to stay with everything required for an easy and pleasant few days away from home. I was staying for work reasons but it would also be a PERFECT romantic getaway spot - just lovely! And walking distance to the canal and lovely scenery too...

We stayed in a dog friendly cottage. Despite being near a busy road, it was so quiet. Tiles or wooden floors throughout, with covers over the furniture. This is excellent for dogs. Older dogs may struggle with the stairs as they are steep. The cottage was cozy and spotlessly clean. The beds are very comfortable. We are now looking at reasons to go back to Newark so we can stay there again! Highly recommended.

Absolutely beautiful home. Everything is high quality. Spotlessly clean. Nothing too much trouble. Our two border collies made themselves at home. Every need catered for. Neighbours we met also really nice. We would definitely recommend and return ourselves. As a fussy person I’ve not worried about anything in this beautiful cottage. It’s safe, secure, smells lovely. Bedding lovely. Furniture really comfy. I could actually live here . Thank you Gary and Kate you have been the kindest nicest of hosts . Loved the dog welcomes too. Madeleine and David. Carole and Roger have lovingly created a space that really feels like they have welcomed you in to their world. It’s bright and full of character with a strong coherent aesthetic but still keeping a cosy and homely ambience. Right from the start there was an air of calm and welcome from Carole and Roger. We were shown around the cottage, they both answered any questions we had, said they were just over the way if we needed anything then left us all to enjoy our time together in peace. Friendly, attentive but also allow you to feel like you are at home, not in somebody else’s. The beds were very comfortable, the log burner was fantastic and the house was very clean. Carole, Roger, you are great, and thank you so much for our lovely stay at your beautiful cottage, we had a blast.

We had a lovely time at Jane's place. It was very peaceful and everything was very comfortable. Jane and Phil were very friendly and went the extra mile to make everything run smoothly. Lovely to see a working farm and the great open spaces.

Highly recommend John's place. Spotlessly clean with everything you need from crockery pans and cooking utensils to fresh bread and milk in the fridge. Spacious house with a lovely garden and outdoor seating area. Comfy beds. All in all we were extremely impressed and would definitely stay again.

Jaynes place is one of endless character and homeliness, made so by her care and attention to those small details. Positioned in glorious peace and solitude yet 10-15 mins from Newark and Southwell, it is just the ticket! Having stayed here previously, it is safe to say this most recent visit will not be my last.

The property is beautifully finished and clean - Jayne was brilliant at communicating and answering any questions prior to arrival especially clarifying location and parking. She was on hand to make sure we were settled in and everything was ok with our stay. Would definitely recommend this property for future stays 😊
