The old Piggery was perfect for our family (including dogs!). The place itself was bigger than what we were expecting and had everything we needed. Super clean and great water pressure. If Jenny will have us back we would love to have this as our go to stay when we are visiting friends and family. Thank you so much.

Had a wonderful stay with friends at Amelia’s , couldn’t ask for more beautiful surroundings. Lovely warm place despite being freezing outside when we arrived; a surprise for a big house! Amelia was very responsive to any questions or concerns we had. Highly recommend !!

Such a great place for a big group as there is ample space . The house suited our needs well- the big garden is beautiful and we all had such a lovely weekend together at Cocking Hill house

Our stay with Victoria was perfect. Nothing was too much trouble, everything was available whenever we needed it and Victoria's cats were particularly friendly and welcoming. When I first arrived, I was greeted by a small flock of lovely chickens in the yard, which made me feel right at home from the start.

Absolutely everything I needed whilst staying in the area for work Raymond is a real character, really enjoyed chatting with him. Would reccomend!

The place was amazing! Highly recommend, the hosts David and Suzanne go the extra mile to make your stay enjoyable. Will definitely be going back again.

Comfortable property with interesting period style furnishings. Judy was very easy to communicate with and gave us a lovely welcome. We were able to walk to Bolsover with its fascinating castle. A good place to stay whilst we attended a family wedding.

We had the best stay at the Garden Cottage, what a beautiful home with the most beautiful surroundings! Stephanie couldn't have been more helpful and onhand, and we absolutely loved Annabels cafe a short walk away!! Will be back for sure, thank you so much!

I really enjoyed my time here! Great for work and better than any noisy hotel. Bed was really comfortable and woke up late as it was so quiet. Cooked my own dinner both nights and was like a home from home. I will be back for sure.

This lovely, spacious house was perfect for our family get together after Christmas. There was plenty of room for all ages and the adults enjoyed the wood fired hot tub. The mill race and brook run unguarded by the house so caution is needed with small children but there are ample warnings about this in the property listing so parents are aware. Sally was an excellent host, replying quickly to our questions. I highly recommend this property.

Fabulous lodge, stylish and luxurious. Utterly beautiful setting, with ever-changing wildlife scenery. Absolute joy to spend a long weekend here, with friends and we would not only highly recommend, we will most definitely book to stay again. Thank you Maria. Thank you Terry for a lovely weekend! We had a great time and Terry was very helpful, popping over to check that we had everything that we needed. She had just had a hot tub installed which she made a massive effort to get up and running for us and it made the weekend. We were a group of ten (four adults and six children) and every room had an en suite which was great.

Absolutely lovely place to stay! So dog friendly and everything was very clean

Fabulous property, fantastically quirky and really lovely hosts. Very cosy feel, plenty of hot water, heating available when you need it, lovely enclosed back garden to sit out or for last tiddles at night for your furry friends. Good internet if you need it, felt very safe, tucked away with parking for 2 large vehicles. Our dog felt very welcome and the dogs on site are super friendly. Thoughtful extras such as bread, milk, breakfast pastries, butter. Towels and bed linen were changed over for us mid stay which was really nice. Would highly recommend, we did consuder staying permanently!

We had a fantastic stay on the farm. The small touches make all the difference - milk, bread and cake on arrival. Plenty of clean towels, toilet rolls and soap. A lovely little cottage perfect for our family trip - we will be back.

We had a lovely , relaxing stay, and we especially enjoyed watching the cows moving around the field! The cottage was both cosy and spacious, well-equipped and comfortable for our family of six. There is lots to do in the area, as well as accessible for days out further afield. Laura was very quick to respond to any queries we had. We would definitely recommend for a real getaway!

Stayed one night , absolutely perfect for my requirements , in that I have dogs and there was a private area for them to mooch round in , as well as plenty of on leash space to walk them. The ‘Military Vehicle’ hut was a cosy more than adequate place to stay. I will most definitely use again and more than happy to recommend to friends 👍

Alison and her husband were lovely, the accommodation is very homely and in a beautiful setting. I would definitely stay again :-)

My daughter and I had an amazing few days here and Isabel was so helpful before our arrival and whilst we stayed. The welcome pack including local fresh bread and quality chocolate were lovely touches. The studio was a really luxurious place to stay, yet also very homely. Lighting the fire and sweeping the ash the next morning brought back wonderful childhood memories of my Nana’s house. Despite not being far from home, we both managed to relax, enjoyed being creative with our hobbies and explored some of the surrounding countryside, local villages and Stamford. The Blonde Beet for lunch was recommended by Isabel and it did not disappoint us. The food was so wonderful. Watching the little lambs and walking amidst the snowdrops through the little wood on the estate, helped us relax even more. On our second evening it was exciting being able to prepare a meal for my husband and other daughter who were working and they joined us for the evening. It was really special. Thanks Isabel.

Was an absolutely lovely stay and great place for the bridal party to get ready before the big day. Debbie was amazing and extremely helpful! She went above and beyond! Thank you so much for being so accommodating and helpful! You really did make a busy day less stressful!

Well what can we say about Lynda and Ray. They have been amazing hosts for over 6 weeks. In that time, we have tantrums and tears for the property and that is not the hosts crying. It was my colleagues as they didn't want to leave. Lynda and Ray have been amazing hosts. They have truly gone out above and beyond for everything that my colleagues could have wished for. The property has been perfect for everyone's needs, beautiful surroundings, spacious, but extremely peaceful despite only being less than 20 minutes from Melton Mowbray. There were more than enough bathrooms to stop the squabbling and queues in the morning rush for work. Should we ever be in the area, we will book with you again as you are amazing!

Booked the cottage for a birthday weekend getaway and couldn’t be more pleased! The cottage and scenery were beautiful and the host was absolutely lovely and accommodating :)
