“It’s the people who matter. Caretaker Mark and his family made us feel home from the instant we reached this place. These were some of the most humble people I’ve ever met. I was traveling with a 2yr old who wasn’t feeling well, Mark got medicines for us even late in the night. One of the highlight was the bonfire and dinner setup around it which made the stay extra special for us. The homecooked food was so amazing that we ended up eating at home on all days! Staywise- The villa is not luxurious but is functional. Location is at the centre with most attractions nearby.

Das Airbnb befindet sich super idyllisch in den Bergen - dadurch war dir Anreise recht schwierig (sehr schlechte, enge Straßen). Dafür wird man mit wunderbarer Ruhe belohnt! Das Haus und vor allem die Aussicht ist wunderschön, das Sahnehäubchen ist aber der private Koch, der uns kulinarisch verwöhnt hat. Die Kommunikation mit Jay und vorallem auch Anu war super. Wenn man Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit sucht, ist man hier genau richtig!!

- We stayed with my whole family, total of 7 adults and a child. As soon as we arrived, the staff was very welcoming and kind. The place is beautiful, decor of the house is well thought through and so nice! 😍 - We also booked a cooking class for dinner time and breakfast! There was a little misunderstanding about breakfast, because you can choose between a few options but the staff again went above and beyond to make sure we were happy (which we were anyway 🙂). - Cooking class was interesting, they explained everything thoroughly and food so delicious! We also booked a private bartender who made cocktails while we enjoyed the cooking class, which was very good as well and between the group, great value for money! - swimming pool is nice and refreshing, and view from the top floor terrace is stunning! - overall I would highly recommend this place - it’s perfect for a group but it’s really the staff that makes it extra great!

Dana and Praba were great! Dana was a responsive, very helpful, and lovely host. Praba was so sweet and her food and hospitality was incredible! The location and beauty of the surroundings were amazing and relaxing. I hope I am able to return again someday. Thanks for everything Dana and Praba!

Probably one of my top three accommodations in Sri Lanka. Felt quite at peace there. Pretty comfortable and modern. Beautiful house, beautiful view, great privacy being on top of the house. I loved the drinking water filter/dispenser. Good desk to work at. Achala and everyone else were nice and helpful when needed, just the right amount (not "weird" and pushy like in many other places). They made it easy. Spoke English super well. Cute cat and dog around. WiFi didn't work well for me, used mobile internet instead. Like in many places, whining/howling dog in the neighbourhood at night. Thank you! 🙏🏻

A lovely apartment with an amazing view! Spacial place, that has all that you need. A great place to stay. A wonderful family that helped us out, incredibly welcoming and thoughtful. Then to make it even better, Dayan is a wonderful person and guide. He showed us the sights of Kandy. Gave us some excellent advice and then based our tour on us. Thank you to all of you, for making our stay so memorable.

Il cottage è veramente suggestivo. La struttura è molto grande e datata. Sembra di fare un salto nel passato. Al nostro arrivo ci è stato fatto trovare il caminetto acceso ed è stato veramente molto suggestivo. Purtroppo abbiamo speso lì solo una notte in quanto eravamo di passaggio, ma sarebbe stato bello rimanere di più per godere dell’atmosfera d’altri tempi. La governante è molto gentile, sempre disponibile e discreta. Siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti dalla sue cucina.

This airbnb was a highlight of our trip. Came here to hike devil’s staircase to the waterfall. The view through the valley and all the way out to Udawalawe national park is stunning. And the staff there were so attentive always offering tea and offering to pack a breakfast when we were going on a hike early in the AM which was really helpful. The room was simple and clean and cool at night due to being in the mountains. Cool enough i wore a sweater outside. Food was delicious, sri lankan dinner was one of our best on the trip. They also provided insider knowledge on local hikes which was great when we had an extra morning and wanted to get one more hike in. Note that it is not easy to get to! Recommend either hiring an SUV or being dropped at the train station and going the rest of the way by tuk tuk which can handle the uneven road and steep decline much better. Overall highly recommend

The apartment was as described and very clean. Upali met us on arrival and provided us with the keys and showed us the place. We asked him for a heater as it was quite cold in the apartment and he brought that along with a blanket right away. The unit is very damp - perhaps it is because of the location but it is quite noticeable. There was an elevator which we appreciated since we had luggage. Having a kitchen and a fridge was also very convenient. There is a restaurant at the first floor of the building that serves decent food as well. We walked to the main market which is about 9 minutes away. Overall excellent value for the money and great for a night or two!
