Such a beautiful AirBnB. It was perfect for our family of 6 adults and 1 infant. Spacious and wonderful views. The kitchen was perfect for preparing meals. Lots of outdoor sitting areas, and we enjoyed the hot tub, outdoor fireplace and canoeing. A great location for exploring Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, and several beaches. Melissa was a wonderful host 😊. You won’t regret staying at Three Sheep’s to the Wind.

We had the pleasure to stay for the month of August. Great location overlooking a lake, just a short walk to a small quiet beach on the ocean. An old railway track converted to biking/walking path close by. Close to groceries and restaurants. Great location for day trips to Peggy’s cove/Halifax boardwalk/many parks and beaches. The home had everything you need. Just bring your swim trunks and spirit of adventure. We highly recommend a stay at this lovely spot.

Michelle's place was exactly what we expected. It even looked larger in real life vs. photos advertised. we loved the enclosed gazebo the hot tub was located in, the large kitchen table with oodles of seating, open floorplan and the small touches that made it feel aesthetically pleasing and cozy. we will be back sometime in the summer!

We are so grateful to Katelyn & Lee for helping us pull off a magical experience for our family (17 total) who spent 6 days at this gorgeous property. The Anchorage House has plenty of space to gather & lots of nooks for small groups or privacy. There are amble bathrooms, which is essential for a big group. The hot tub was delightful-hosts even stopped by to freshen it mid-stay. They recommended a local caterer, the Savary Plate, who provided incredible meals, but the kitchen is well-equipped for cooking for a large group (which we did one night) and even has a commercial dishwasher! The location is perfect-we made day trips to Lunenburg, Halifax, Peggy’s Cove, and Digby for whale watching—not to mention local beaches minutes away. But we were just as enchanted sitting on the porch or down on the dock (evening kayaking). If characters were unlimited, I could go on and on about this wonderful property, but I also must mention the thoughtfulness of our hosts who felt like friends.

We had an amazing stay at Beth’s place!! Exceeded expectations, you can tell they put a lot of thought in making sure you have everything you need during your stay.

Our second summer stay was just as wonderful as the first. More familiar this time, so the whole family felt right at home. Chris was once again very warm and welcoming in his communications. Look forward to our third stay next year if we can be so fortunate.

This location is amazing. Right on the lake. Lots of things to do: swim, kayak, canoe etc. we brought our two you kids and they had the best time. Sunrise/sets are perfect. Highly recommend to anyone. Our dog also enjoyed the location and the lake! We will be back. Michael was also very responsive and helpful!

Most of what I'm saying is echoing what other Guests have said - it's all still true for 2024: Morry is great to work with, cottage is clean and well-equipped,  the views here are wonderful, beds are comfy and the layout worked well for us with the two main floor bedrooms on opposite sides.  The kitchen is a good size and the two full bathrooms are like new. There's a great hike trailhead a stone's throw away and, if you haven't already, you will fall in love with Prospect, NS!!

Fantastic home. Fantastic view. Fantastic host. Awesome 2 weeks. The kitchen was fully equipped; the shower had great water pressure; the host left lots of space in the shelves and cupboards so there was tons of room to store our own items; barbecue was good-absolutely everything was provided to support a great stay. The host was exceptionally responsive -and accommodating. 5 stars with numerous exclamation marks!!!

PAM &J.P on été extraordinaires. Nous avons été ravis par notre séjour et sommes tombés en amour avec la Nouvelle-Ecosse. Les animaux étaient un extra inattendus. Gustave va beaucoup s’ennuyer de Maple. Petit commentaire QUI N’EST PAS UNE CRITIQUE. Le réfrigérateur n’est pas très grand alors, ne pas faire une trop grosse épicerie à chaque fois. Nous sommes arrivés avec trop de choses et tout ne rentrait pas. Mais encore une fois ce n’est pas grave. Il y une épicerie pas tres loin. Ça se fait très bien. Faut juste pas prévoir trop longtemps d’avance si vous avez une grosse famille comme la mienne. La piscine est extraordinaire!!!!! Près de pleins de belles plages . Nous avons passé un super beau moment en famille!!!

Fantastic hosts. Dream heritage property with total privacy and a heated pool in a park like setting; we booked that property pretty much every year for the last seven years. Rob and Barb are constantly improving the property, there is always something new to discover, whether it's a new appliance, or a brand new landscaped river frontage inviting you to sit and watch river and ocean life whilst sipping a glass of tasty red provided with the welcome basket. We enjoyed eating out at the Lunenburg restaurants, as much as we enjoyed cooking a delicious meal at their place, which is fully equipped, one can easily cook up a gourmet meal. Golden! What a splendid place to stay. Spectacular sunrises every morning, so relaxing & peaceful. Daun is an exceptional host,lovely lady,very helpful & a pleasure to have a chat with. I would definitely stay again.

It was a beautiful place to stay for a weekend to unwind. When we first arrived, there was a challenge that was beyond Renee and Tim's control -- the power went out in the surrounding area. They handled it well to make sure we had what we needed and we ended up having a very good weekend.

We had a great stay at Chris's place--especially loved the deck and view. The apartment was clean and comfortable. Chris was friendly and responsive.

Thank you for a wonderful stay! It was the ideal spot for a peaceful and relaxing visit, right on the bay! Our favourite part of the day was late afternoon, sitting on the deck with a glass of wine and watching the sailboats return. The accommodation had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We appreciated the washing machine and dryer, and the bbq - it really made us feel at home. The only thing I missed was having cable or a radio to catch up on news - but then again, sometimes it is good to disconnect from the world. We highly recommend this vacation spot to anyone looking to visit the South Shores area (Chester / Mahone Bay).

A truly magical place. Location is ideal to visit so many different towns, trails and excursions. However, starting the morning off on the deck watching the sunrise and then ending the day cooking on the BBQ. The house is fully equipped with every kitchen gadget needed. 3 good sized bedrooms with comfortable mattresses. There is a wonderful community feeling.

Barry and Maureen’s cottage was a delight. Great communication: Barry checked in to see if there was anything we needed and Maureen was prompt with communication and was explicit about check in and left detailed instructions on operating the heat pump and the TV. The place is a perfect setting: quiet street, large parking space and near to all Mahone Bay has to offer. The cottage is immaculate and very well stocked: they have thought of everything. We stay at Airbnbs often and we put this one at the top of the list. We plan to go back!

What a wonderful week my family and I had at the copper cottage. The surroundings are gorgeous. Karen and Ron were welcoming, helpful, responsive. The cottage is exactly as listed - it’s rustic but exactly what we wanted. The kids loved sleeping in the loft upstairs and spent endless hours searching for crabs, exploring the shoreline and hanging out in the garden. The local beaches were stunning. And there’s a great little pizza shop across the street and general store just a few km down the road. Loved our time here!

Palmer's Cottage is a lovely place to spend a quiet, relaxing holiday, close to nature and the outdoors but also close enough to visit Halifax for an evening out. Lots of activities (beach, bicycle, walking) steps from the front door. The cottage is comfortable with a truly "fully-equipped" kitchen, for those who like to cook. Steve is a great host, responsive to questions, available to help when needed but always respectful of his guest's privacy.

We had an amazing time at the cottage! The view is spectacular and so close to hubbards beach and the Shore Club. Darlene is an absolute sweetheart and so accommodating. The beds are comfy and the cottage has all the amenities you need. Thank you Darlene, we will be back
