The place is stunning, actually more beautiful than the pictures. It is really staying in someones home, the decoration is very cozy and comfortable. Since we had a car we thought it would be nice to be a bit outside of Oaxaca, and it was wonderful to have relaxing days in the house and by the pool. Also the local recommendations from Florencio were great! And some of us went to the city by taxi and bus and the connection was quite easy. Overall, we loved it and enjoyed our stay so much!

We loved the place. Very quiet. A bit out of the center but an easy walk in. Jude was a delight to work with. She also helped us arrange a day excursion. The property is far larger and nicer than the photos suggest.

Our group of six very much enjoyed our stay at Casa Utopia. Our kids liked the grounds and the pool and we loved the view and peacefulness. We enjoyed the host's recommendations, like ordering tacos for delivery and (best of all) contracting the private driver Rangel for the week. Humberto helped us when we needed anything, especially with refilling the drinking water. We went out every day for Oaxaca culture adventures and returned the tranquility of Utopia. The outdoor shower was a favorite feature of mine. We would easily book again.

Excelente lugar, una casa muy grande ideal para reuniones familiares, disfrutamos mucho la cocina de humo, la mesa de billar, mucha privacidad. Lo que se debe tener en cuenta (y se menciona en la descripción del airbnb) es que el internet y la señal es muy limitada, apenas para mensajes. Excelente lugar cerca de Oaxaca, en 30-40 min se llega al centro de la ciudad.

what a wonderful stay at Pamela’s home. It was absolutely gorgeous from ceiling to floor, it had amazing atmosphere, one of the most stunning houses I have stayed in a while. The accommodations were so incredibly easy, and more than helpful. She was an amazing host, and helped so much throughout our whole trip from start to finish. It was in a great spot, not to close to the city where you feel claustrophobic. The Pueblo was so cute with great restaurants, a wonderful bar to close for your own good, and great little places for produce. By far making it on the list of one of the best places I’ve stayed.

Stunning property. We spent two weeks at Barbara’s place and really enjoyed it. The pictures really don’t do it justice. We loved hanging out in the beautiful screened in pergola with our coffee or wine. I even did some remote work out there. It does take 25-30 minutes to drive into Oaxaca city. Jhonny the caretaker is a doll and available for anything you need.

This was a great, affordable place to stay for a few days. Location is easy walking distance to everything and a very quiet/secure spot. Host was responsive, helpful, and gave great advice on places to visit in the city. Would definitely recommend the Airbnb and stay here again if visiting Oaxaca

We really loved our stay at Jaime's place. It had just the right amount of space for us and was a comfortable, relaxing place to rest after touring Oaxaca. Best of all, set far back from a busy street (a few blocks from the Zocalo) off a lovely courtyard, we enjoyed this peaceful oasis. We also appreciated Jaime's provision of a large tank of clean hot and cold water for drinking and cooking with, and the fact that the windows had screens. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the layout of the little cottage made it feel roomy and very private.

This stay was just like the photos! Beautiful views for sunset and you can listen to the ocean waves crash as you fall asleep! The area around is very quite, but it’s also very close by the zicatela, so best of both worlds. Would definitely recommend a stay here!:)

THE HOUSE: is beautiful. Plaster walls, painted stairs, blue tile in the kitchen, a huge bed--it's a work of art. One room has a desk, but otherwise there are not many places to comfortably remote work -- the chairs were all quite low compared to the tables. I really really loved the house in general and would stay there again in a heartbeat. I saw housekeeping staff daily, and the place was very clean and tidy. LOCATION: It's about a 15 minute walk into the center of town. While there are some restaurants nearby, you should be prepared to walk a lot -- which is great! AMENITIES: The kitchen has a lot of things, but was missing some important details (a kettle, filters for the coffee maker). You can pay to have your laundry done by the housekeeping staff, which is very convenient. NEIGHBORS: You can def hear the folks staying upstairs from time to time, and there's a lot of neighborhood noise (barking dogs, honking, loudspeaker announcements, jazz from the restaurant next door).

Beautiful home, with incredible architecture, design, style and artwork. All the best restaurants and sites are within a 10 to 15 minute walk. The hosts were responsive and helpful. If you decide to stay there definitely watch the sunset on the rooftop bed. Overall it was a great experience.

We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Ohma. It is a beautiful little place that feels very warm and welcoming, nicely tucked away from the busier part of La Punta. It is beautifully decorated and the common areas are really well done, with lots of room for lounging. The pool is the perfect escape from a long hot day at the beach. Our hosts were also extremely responsive and accommodating throughout our stay. We would definitely come back here again!

Our second visit to Oaxaca and stay at Casa del Escuincle lasted 10 amazing days and nights. Our hosts Carmen and her daughter Bertha, along with Rosa, the housekeeper and cook, were always gracious. We especially appreciated their warm and generous contributions to the celebration of our wedding anniversary the morning after our arrival. Throughout our stay, our hosts were extremely responsive to our wants and needs without being overbearing, making us feel like part of their family. Optional upon request, the food provided during our stay was authentically regional, plentiful, and lovingly prepared. This included handmade Oaxacan chocolate, mole and salsa of the house, and sal de gusano de maguey. (Have fun looking it up)! The colonial-era hacienda is horseshoe-shaped, arranged around a lush, well maintained central garden with many plantings in, and out of, pots. Regional artwork adorns the walls. Our large room was furnished with a comfortable king-sized bed, ample closet and cabinet space, a refrigerator, and a coffee maker. You will find a few restaurants within walking distance from the hacienda, including the brand new taqueria, La Salsa, small convenience stores, and a quaint Catholic church (currently undergoing reconstruction.). Las Danzetas, in central Oaxaca, and Casa Oaxaca, in the Reforma neighborhood, were among our favorite restaurants. If you want to burn some calories and enjoy spectacular views and sightings of tropical birds, the well-equipped and clean Luis Donaldo Colosio Park is within walking distance. Casa del Escuincle is located less than 3 miles from the Oaxaca town center, a quick 70-peso cab ride away. Casa del Escuincle provided a quiet respite from the hustle, bustle, and fun of the city while providing a great jumping-off point for day trips to local towns and historical sites. We highly recommended a stay at Casa del Escuincle!

Manuel's place was wonderful, it matched the description of the listing exactly. Big kitchen, huge table for us to gather around. There were a few issues with the water and the lights not working, but Manuel was helpful when we reached out to him. He came over a couple times to fix the water when the tank emptied and switched the light bulbs. This is not something that the host could do anything about, but everyday there were a lot of people meeting up outside of the house on the street where the gate opens to. That street corner is apparently some bus drop off point for protesters. They would be sitting out there for hours, but they were very polite and would move out of the way when we had to go in and out of the house.

We had an amazing time here. A peaceful oasis, but walking distance from all the restaurants and bars. the place was super clean and had all we needed. The cleaning lady was super friendly and helpful. The open kitchen was perfect for a morning coffee or breakfast. The pool had a relaxed vibe and was a good place to meet some of the other tenants. Highly recommend staying here!

I had an amazing stay at this property! The host made everything incredibly easy, from check-in to check-out. The space is even more stunning in person, and I truly appreciated the thoughtful design details throughout. My room was spotless, and the added touches like beach towels and a glass water jug made the experience even better. I used the pool quite often and it was a great spot to relax and meet other guests. Highly recommend. I will definitely stay here again!

Wonderful Airbnb / boutique hotel. Spotless and extremely comfortable both the common spaces and the private rooms. I'd highly recommend this place and also an easy walk to the beach and town shops.

The house is beautifully decorated. There's a lovely piano, the pool is solar heated and clean, there are hammocks, and the adobe keeps the home naturally cool and quiet. There are great views of the mountains and the city. There is a little market and a big park nearby. The park has a library for kids and an area with toys. There is also a small hotel next door with a fantastic restaurant called Entre Sombras. The staff at the house is helpful and friendly, but they also respect your space. And Marilee is quick to respond. We all enjoyed our time in this tucked away paradise.

We loved the house, the patio, garden, the view, the location, everything. We heartily recommend it. In the course of a 6 week stay, there were a couple of moments when we needed some things repaired and it was done very quickly, cheerfully and competently.
