Michael is a cheerful Austrian and he keeps the place nice and clean. He even helped us for lending his car to fetch my car whixh ran out of fuel 127km before Cooper Pedy (some one picked us up n sent us to Cooper Pedy) . And cooked me a nice meal when we returned ard 1130pm. The dugout is marvellous It was a wonderful stay at Michael's place

Ali’s underground accommodation was fantastic! Our three kids ranging from 7 to 13 years old have been looking forward to staying at Ali’s for over four months and it did not disappoint! We loved it too! The carved out ‘cave room’ was a big hit and the kids absolutely loved sleeping “in the rock“. Ali was a wonderful and responsive host, very helpful. Coober Pedy is such an amazing town to explore! Thank you!

Diane's underground place was unique and amazing. It was all she said it was and more. We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this house which was different to anywhere we had ever stayed. And Di was very helpful in getting us hooked up to a tour we very much wanted to go on. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a unique experience in a unique city.

Tine's property is one of the best dugouts in the town. Has plenty of room for everyone (we were a group of 5 adults and 2 kids) with stunning views right at the gate. You'll be a fair 10-12 mins away from the town centre, driving past some roos passing by or spot them right above the ground after you walk out. Access to laundry, decent Internet connection, and a handful of kids activities make this dugout a perfect place to stay. Since we went off season, the property was the holiday and this dugout hit the brief really well for us to have a good time.

After wanting to visit Svend’s place for some years now, we were excited to finally get the chance to do so. We loved the peaceful setting, and finally experiencing this unique off-grid property for ourselves. It’s inspirational to know that crafting such a comfortable off-grid place is possible. Also wonderful to see the results of years of bush regeneration. We were excited to support the continued maintenance of this great property and definitely recommend a visit, especially if you want to feel a little like a Hobbit. I’d say winter might be the most enticing time to visit, maybe next time!

We are a group of friends who are on their 4WD travels through SA & NT. We decided to make a stop in Coober Pedy and treat ourselves to an overnight stay in a nice place to escape the weather. We arrived to a crazy downpour of rain, floods & a power outage (obviously to no fault of Jessica’s). The place was beautiful and watching the storm roll in was awesome. Jessica was so responsive to all our calls and messages regarding power, and followed us up with updates. That’s the outback for ya! The place was clean, comfy & we loved the surrounds. You can’t control the weather but what you can control is how awesome your host is. I would highly recommend!

We had an amazing stay at the pop’n’in Dugout! A definite must experience if in the area to stay underground. We’re very glad we stayed for three nights as we had heaps to do and really loved the town. The outlook from the property was spectacular, enjoyed watching the sunrise, just magic 😍. Karen was an absolute Gem, really helpful with suggestions and so easy to talk to. I was concerned about security but needn’t have worried given the private location out of town. 100% recommend!

Cannot rave about this place enough. The dugout was beautiful, clean and well appointed with thoughtful touches. Penny was such a kind, welcoming and friendly host who was super responsive. We loved our time here and were sad to leave. Coober Pedy has stolen a little bit of my heart. Thanks for having us in your beautiful home, Penny!

Always a good stay at Villa Connection. Staff are faultless, and accomodating. Clean, functional space. Some feedback for the Moonlight room being as it’s dark - need some stronger lighting. Wish the owner would be more accomodating with a competitive monthly rate. It’s a great stay but the long term value is not immediately obvious. If you’re looking for a reliable, quiet, comfortable stay run by incredibly lovely staff look no further.
