We enjoyed our stay very much! The place is located on a elevated spot above Whakatane with breathtaking views! Lorraine was extremely accommodating and making us feel like home! The place is very spacious with more than enough space for our group of six adults and two kids - they even had a kids toy box! Thank you!

This was a beautiful and peaceful get away. I would 100% recommend if you are wanting to go somewhere private and relaxing with an amazing view.

Loved our stay at Sandy's, they have a cute lookout they have created, nice cute signs to beach. The yurt was amazing, lovely communication. thanks so much, loved it!

The surrounding native bush, tidy spacious lockwood and all the amenities you could ask for (right on the lake, spa, flying fox, kayaks) and a wonderful host to create an awesome holiday. This is a fantastic place to stay with all you need. Great indoor, outdoor living. Beautiful lake and easy home for all to enjoy. Lynley was very responsive and accommodating and we’d happily recommend and stay again.

Perfection…in every way. Great communication and Paul was very responsive and accommodating. The place was a slice of heaven and we will definitely be using it every time we travel to Whakatane. We had a wonderful stay and the space catered for all our needs. Tarawera is a magical spot, and this venue allowed us time together without WiFi and the busyness of city life. The reserve and swings, trampoline and bbq area were major bonuses. Thank you for opening this special space for us to use. We recommend for families who love nature and the beauty that Tarawera has to offer!

Janet is a wonderful communicator. She was extremely helpful throughout and we really appreciated all the help she provided. In terms of value for money, this was somewhat disappointing. While we were aware of the rules and preconditions of our stay before our holiday, having to cater for our own linens, towels, rubbish and recycling, etc. reduces our star rating and our value for money considerations.

A lovely, welcoming home, really well equipped, very comfortable. Communication was great from start to finish and every everything in the house had clear instructions which was very helpful. We will definitely stay again

Great old school batch that felt very chill. Awesome to get to use the kayaks and lovely walks nearby. Added bonus was the toy box and the box of duplo which made the stay so much easier with the kids!

Lovely little separate unit. Very well stocked kitchen. Secluded and private, and only a few minutes to the beach. Would recommend.

The house is great. It has accommodated 3 mature couples and we didn't feel squashed or crowded. Location is perfect and surroundings are so beautiful. Everyone who went with us is going to come back.

Wow! Such a stunning spot at Ōhiwa Harbour, we spent a week here enjoying the beautiful views of the inlet, fantastic for kayaking, then just amble across the road to the beach for a swim. We took our bikes too, it’s great for cycling around the bays. It’s the perfect spot to get away from it all. Great Kiwi bach, well set up with everything you need. We’ll definitely be booking here again. Thanks so much.

Fabulous Chalet! Absolutely charming and abundant with amenities. Deb and Ian are responsive and incredibly thoughtful hosts. They are friendly and lovely to chat with. We loved the space for it's comfort, unique design, privacy, and proximity to everything we wanted and needed. We will absolutely stay here again.

Des’ place is awesome! The whole place feels like you’re staying in a museum of sports, every corner of the house tells a story. It is so personal and cozy, it makes you feel at home. Perfect location with second to none surroundings. Just a few minutes drive from Rotorua, perfect if you want to get away from the noise and hurry of the day to day life.
