Really lovely place to spend some time with the family - ground floor access was perfect for the less mobile members of our party and the underfloor heating was great! So quiet and away from it all and great for the dogs as well - plenty of enclosed space for them to run about and not far from some lovely country walks. A few minor niggles with the property but nothing to detract from the scale of the place. We were a party of 7 and it could easily sleep 10.

Windyheads Bothy is a wonderful getaway. It has fantastic views and is surrounded by wildlife. There’s a fabulous widescreen fireplace which kept the living room nice and toasty. The place was great for a big family holiday.

Thank you for your lovely space! The selling point really was the view and garden which was so much more tranquil in person. We were lucky that the house was empty so we had the space to ourselves. We enjoyed using the BBQ to make our Christmas dinner and although there was a limited kitchen space, it really was functional enough for the week we stayed. Highly recommend the Hot Tub purchase and a read of her book!!

Lovely homely cottage with everything we needed. Dog friendly but couldn’t tell dogs have stayed previously. Great open fire and the best shower we’ve ever used!

Un grand merci à l’hôte, qui a toujours été réactive et disponible pour répondre à nos questions. Je recommande vivement cette adresse pour un séjour agréable et pratique !

Lovely find. The Smoke House is like stepping into a warm hug. We all loved the quirkiness of it. The fabulous social spaces. Really enjoyed our stay. So generously stocked with essentials.

We had a wonderful stay in the apartment. It was clean, well equipped and had comfortable beds. Michael always answered quickly to any requests. The location was perfect: peaceful surroundings and at the same time only one minute walk to the main street (Union street). A supermarket close by (2 minutes walk). Highly recommended for a stay in central Aberdeen.

Great home that suited us perfect for our stay in Aberdeen, location was perfect for walking around, lots of parking options and very quiet and peaceful inside. Gillian was super helpful.

We had a lovely stay at Kevin's place. Everything was as described very peaceful and comfortable like a home away from home. We had a couple of teething issues with the TV and Kevin took time to call us and talk us through the issue although it wasn't resolved this didn't affect our stay as there was a wide range of dvds to choose from which the kids loved. Plenty of walks for the dog round about and a shop 5 mins away for everything you need. We will definitely be back an amazing we cottage with everything you need in an idyllic locations. We visited Stonehaven whilst here which was only half hour drive away. Thanks for everything!

great location,comfy warm accomodation with everything you would require , suited a disabled relative with downstairs bedroom and bathroom ,easy access into the house . property well located for walks along the shore and for the fit and healthy plenty good walks to neighbouring village ,well situated for exploring other towns . found the hotel a bit pricey ,but cafe would highly recommend,well stocked shop in the village and lobster shop I did have the lobster and crab roll, very tasty . overall we would go back ,we were lucky enough to have good weather and we did love the location.

First class

We did get a little lost once we entered the estate as there was roads forking in two directions but a quick call to Gill had us back on track. Beware of the track leading up to Garden Cottage as there are a lot of pot holes. It was all worth it once we got to the cottage though. The cottage was clean and spacious with a lovely log fire that we took advantage of everyday. Plenty walks around the estate, pity we couldn't walk up to Forglen House but you get pretty views from the river.

Susan was an attentive host. The bedrooms were beautiful and we had fantastic sleeps in cozy beds - that is so rare, but so important. The area was lovely. A great stay.

Lovely cottage in an idyllic part of Aberdeen Shire. We really enjoyed the time there! I would recommend it to anyone who wants to explore the Shire and the beauty of Scotland.

Great situated little suite. Walkable to village center and access to trails. Very cute and confortable, beds/pillows were epic. Everything was clean. Linda and John were super responsive and accomodating.
