Rogerio and his home is fantastic. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The grounds and surrounding area is beautiful. Lots of trees - they harvest cork, beautiful flowers. Great bird-watching. Very easily accessible to Monsanto and nearby sight-seeing but take Rogerio's recommendations on his favorites. Great stay.

Fizemos uma viagem de 6 adultos e 1 criança. Adoramos tudo. Pedimos um berço e quando chegamos já estava instalado num dos quartos. A casa fica numa propriedade tranquila ideal para descansar. Tem uma zona de areia para as brincadeiras dos mais pequenos e um baloiço. Viemos numa altura fria, a cozinha dispõe de uma lareira que estava pronta a ser ligada quando chegamos e aquece bem o ambiente. Dispõem também de AC num dos quartos, na sala e no wc. Sentimos falta apenas de aquecimento nos outros 2 quartos. Recomendo muito.

Her stand alone house is perched the. End of a lane with patio and pool deck with multiple seating options. The house faces west to enjoy the sunshine all day! 3 levels inside with kitchen on lowest level with wood burning stove. Everything to prepare meals. Entry floor is living space and electric fireplace. Bathing also located in entry level. Top level with bedroom and smaller bedroom with daybed. A very unique and one of a kind experience. Definitely with visiting and living like a local! All restaurants were hosted by warm people with wonderful homemade foods.

The villa which in the listing is already amazing but in life stunning. Huge space in and outside and a heated pool. There are so many amenities that are provided and attention to detail to ensure that everything you need to have a lovely time is there. A home from home. Lovely hosts and good recommendations

Espaço lindo para uma escapadinha na natureza, o anfitrião muito prestável (fala em inglês), instalações limpas e cómodas, a cozinha dispõe de alguns utensílios básicos. O quarto, um pouco quente, mas não incomodativo, dispõe de um frigobar. O mais difícil foi mesmo o acesso, mas em contacto com o o senhor Harold, foi mais fácil de chegar. Uma experiência a repetir para a próxima mais tempo, visto que fomos apenas uma noite…

We stayed for 4 nights at this peaceful and secluded farmhouse, visiting friends in neighbouring Castelo Branco. Rogério was there to meet us after an 8 hour drive from Southern Spain with a welcoming drink and home made pastries and he spent 45 minutes explaining about the location and its history; he really is super friendly. The house truly is a home from home filled with his treasures, games and even a keyboard. As mentioned in other reviews the dog did bark constantly but Rogerio had already flagged this and offered to move him. we used the house only as a base however and he did not unduly bother us. It was a great stay and we made full use of the wood burning fire which kept the house cosy and warm however it did smoke a bit leaving everything we owned with a memorable dour of woodsmoke. It’s great value and our friends who live in the area visited one evening and fell in love with its rustic charm, they are going to book a couple of nights for themselves in the summer.

I could not recommended more this place in warmer seasons! A beautiful house, with a breathtaking view, amazing garden and well equipped kitchen. The surroundings, amazing too, very quiet and beautiful. Ideal for anyone who wants to relax and enjoy nature. The host was very friendly and responsive. However, the heating, even with a fire place, was not effective and the house was very cold, specially in the bedrooms. If the heating is not improved, I will not go back in winter. But in Spring-Summer, this is a place to go!

Passámos um grande fim de semana! A casa é acolhedora, com todas as comodidades para passar o fim de semana em grupo sem ter de sair, espaço para as 2 cadelas que levámos brincarem à vontade e para o grupo passar o tempo tanto dentro de casa como no exterior. Sem dúvida um local a visitar novamente. A casa tem aquecimento para manter a temperatura confortável (e foi importante por causa da bebé que também foi connosco).

We decided to stay it the area last minute when exploring the cherry blossoms. Maria was very accommodating and friendly and the place was very comfortable. We hope to stay again for longer.

A nossa estadia em Lentiscais foi simplesmente perfeita, maravilhosa que superou todas as nossas expectativas. Desde o momento em que chegámos, sentimos uma atmosfera acolhedora e relaxante. Casa espaçosa, bem decorada com todas as comodidades necessárias para uma estadia confortável. A cozinha está totalmente equipada, o que nos permitiu preparar refeições deliciosas. Os quartos são amplos e as camas confortáveis, garantindo noites de sono reparador. A piscina foi, sem dúvida, o ponto alto da nossa estadia. Limpa e bem mantida, as crianças adoraram passar horas a brincar na água, enquanto nós, adultos, aproveitámos para relaxar nas espreguiçadeiras ao redor. O espaço exterior é fantástico, os nossos cães também adoraram o espaço, correndo e explorando cada canto do jardim. É raro encontrar um lugar que seja tão acolhedor para animais de estimação, e isso fez toda a diferença para nós. Recomendamos vivamente esta casa em Lentiscais para famílias que procuram um refúgio perfeito.

Foi um final de semana maravilhoso. Mesmo a vizinhança foi muito acolhedora. Obrigado ao Sr. Manuel pela prova do seu vinho e dos enchidos. Lenha pronta para aquecimento da casa, espaços grandes como a sala que tanto deu para refeições como para as brincadeiras com as crianças ou conversas com os adultos. Decoração super criativa que nos faz sentir em casa. Flexibilidade no check-in e check-out adicionou mais momentos inesquecíveis na casa. Queremos regressar.

Hello, we really enjoyed our stay here. We were here only for one night. The accomodation was clean and spacious. Beds were extremely soft and clean. We definetely recommed it.

We had a fantastic 5 day stay. Lynne greeted us and showed us around. A very well positioned little cottage with spectacular views lots of privacy and everything else you need. It had a little kitchen with all essentials and warmth from either Ac or the log burner made it really comfortable. Thank you for a lovely stay we hope to come again sometime.

Gostamos muito da casa, ficámos muito confortáveis, muito limpa, muito acolhedora e com todos os equipamentos necessários. Com um quintal com churrasqueira para disfrutar. A Cidlina sempre muito prestável e atenciosa conosco, a D. Estrela que nos recebeu de braços abertos foi muito simpática e muito prestável e que nos ajudou bastante com o que precisámos, e quando chegámos já tínhamos a salamandra acesa com a casa quentinha, as laranjas e umas fatias de ovo que nos ofereceu estavam muito saborosas. A região é bastante bonita e com muitos sítios para visitar. Adoramos e voltaremos sem falta o mais breve possível. Um muito obrigado à Cidalina e à D. Estrela por todo o cuidado que tiveram connosco.

This is a great space in a real out-of-the-way part of Portugal. Tired of big city tourism? Try this property. Tiny villages dot the hills and you get an old world sense of Portugal here. The pool is the real star of the property here (as are Eric's three dogs, one of which lounged with us each morning) as it overlooks he view of the river. We did use the kayaks as well. It is hard to get to them down a very steep hill with ladders and a bit of minor repelling. Not for those with a bad knee or hip. Which gets me to, accessing the apartments, particularly the lower unit, is tricky. Steep, slanting and uneven steps that can be a little slippery. Perhaps not for the elderly. Hint for improvement would be to upgrade the furnishings and kitchenware. The knives couldn't cut an orange.

Our thanks to the wonderful hosts Alice & Christian This cosy and charming house is located in the Beira Baixa region, nestled in the hills of rural Portugal. All amenities were faultless and immaculate enabling us to enjoy our stay here very much. Whilst the area is lesser known for tourism it offers a glimpse of the tranquility that pervades life here. The surrounding villages and exploration offer a lot to enjoy if you appreciate nature, a relaxed pace of life and space. The house is also close to the beautiful Rio Zêzere. Recommend this property, place and hosts.
