Lovely place for a good combo of beach, lake, dunes, hiking and relaxing. Hosts (Karen/Brandon) were very informative and responsive. Well recommended.

Lovely and well kept, Heleen was super as a host, the location was amazing with clever architecture to hide from the wind and still enjoy the clear nights and days.

We had a fantastic family stay at Carol's beautiful beach home. It was spotless. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay, and we felt at ease and relaxed from the minute we walked in. Nice courtyard at the back to entertain and keep out of the wind on some of the days. Otherwise, a lovely braai spot in from of the house on the verande with ocean views. Morning coffee on the veranda every day, with a view of the ocean, was a treat. Just a short walk down the path to the harbour with restaurants and little shops as well as soft serve ice cream. A brisk 2km walk down to the main beach all along the coastline making. Carol was super friendly, and her home is truly a gem.

We fell in love with the village of Stanford and the soul restoring River Home. This beautiful house is right on the river's edge and is a real treat (and retreat) to stay in. Just the place to surrender to nature, listen to the birdsong, rest and restore. We loved walking along the delightful river path. A short walk into the centre of town will bring you to several delightful restaurants. We ate at three of them (for lunch at Madré we enjoyed a really good pork belly with crispy skin and vegetables, at La Trattoria we had a feast of authentic Italian food and Agteros has a menu full of delightful South African dishes done with a modern twist). We also brownsed in some delightful homewear and gift shops. If you prefer eating at home, the kitchen at River House has everything you need to cook a gourmet meal. It is spotless, has a great gas hob and electric oven and a dishwasher for cleaning up after.

Clare was an amazing host and her home a perfect stay. Beautiful views and intimate setting to enjoy quality time with friends and family. Indoor and outdoor braais, many bedrooms and a lovely terrace area. Everything was clean and read for us on arrival. I can't recommend it enough!

The house was neat and tidy and the bedding was super soft. We had a very good stay and appreciated the housekeeper coming in mid stay to do a linnen swap for us. Would recommend.

My wife and I had a wonderful time at Van As's! We really appreciated their heartfelt welcome and hospitality. The room is very spacious, neat and tidy. The location is a gem. We enjoyed the sounds of the waves and penguins in the distance at night. It was great to walk along the short pathway across the road that leads to the shore and enjoy the sunrise over the ocean with a cup of coffee. Betties bay, with its beautiful fynbos, mountains, ocean and penguins crept into our hearts.

We had such an incredible stay at Rene's place! Great location, clean, and really kind and helpful host. We loved the outdoor shower! Walking distance to the rock pools and beach and a short drive to Hermanus and the town. We can't wait to come back to visit.

Our favourite stay in the western cape. We adored Sharon’s place, nestled in the valley overlooking the Babilonstoring mountain. We found both adventure and peace here, with the accommodation providing a slice of luxury and home comforts whilst bike and hiking trails at the door and Hermanus only a short drive away. Derek made sure we saw the best of the area by taking us on a MTB ride. Hosts were super helpful and friendly, making us feel right at home. We loved our stay and will definitely be back.

What a location!!!! With the mountains on one side and the lagoon on the other with the beach just in sight. The place is small but incredibly functional and has absolutely everything one needs and more. The beds, pillows, linen and towels are 5 star. And even though one’s neighbours are very close, it was very, very quiet. Thank you for having us - we loved our time there.

We really enjoyed our time at the cottage. it was quiet and peaceful but close enough to all major sites and lots of restaurants. The cottage is well furnished and has more than everything you could need for a shor or long stay. The garden and patio are well furnished and make for a relaxing chill spot after a long day of sightseeing. Our pets were also well accommodated for and had a wonderful time playing in the garden.

Kyle was a fabulous host. Very clear instructions, friendly and quick to respond. Beautiful apartment with large balcony and sea views. Kyle had thought of all those little extras you need, washing machine, iron, shower gel etc. A very comfortable and clean stay and just a short stroll to all the restaurants, shops that are right by the sea. Would highly recommend this accomodation.

Even though we had horrible weather the days we stayed at the house, we still had an amazing time. The house has a nice fire place to make the experience cozy during cold or rainy weather. The kitchen is perfectly stocked, the beds are very comfortable and the view is spectacular even during stormy weather. Close to Hermanus and Stanford but also nice and remote so that we could properly disconnect. We could not have been happier.

Lovely location, remote enough for nature lovers but just 15min from Gansbaai for groceries, etc. Plenty of scenic walks for all fitness levels, multiple swimming spots, nearby Lomond wine farm has great MTB trails. The cottage is spacious and comfortable, the covered outdoor seating area with braai is a relaxing vibe. Would revisit for sure.

This was our second time staying here. We love it. Great location. Lots of entertainment for the kids. Alex a fantastic efficient host. We will definitely be back.

Super host indeed. Felt fortunate to share their family holiday home. It added to the warmth of family feeling for myself and my family as we spent Christmas at the holiday house. We spent far too little time and needed just another few days. I have not seen my parents that content in a long time. It was homely and had everything I needed, especially over the Christmas time. Sharps knives, nice stemmed wine glasses, more than sufficient and a nice variety of crockery and cutlery to entertain. An old time family holiday home. Where memories are preserved. The cottage was fantastic, beautiful setting with great privacy. You have a whole dam to yourself, walk in the vineyards, relax in the wood fire hot tub under the stars. No complaints, but do not plan to cook a lot of meals, the kitchen is small and washup area, we lit a braai outside and that was perfect. Definitely would recommend and return.

The cottage was private and plenty of outside space for our beach toys and dogs.

Very pleasant and quiet place. Super friendly hosts and the hot tub is truly a standout feature! I definitely recommend.
