What a fab house this is. We stayed for 6 weeks and did not want to leave. Jo was always on hand if we needed anything but the house is so well set up that we rarely did. The location is fab on a quiet back street but a COOP, Indian and nice bar all within a few mins walk. The house is really well presented and has everything you’d need for a short or longer stay. The hot tub is a great addition and the garden feels really private. All the bedrooms are a great size and perfect for couples. I can’t rate this place highly enough! Full 5 stars from us!

Our stay was perfect. The house was immaculately clean. The hot tub was all ready when we arrived, right next to the house with robes. Susan stocked the kitchen with essentials which is really kind. The gardens and animals were beautiful. Our dog also loved his stay! Would recommend very highly and definitely stay again. One of the best Airbnb’s we’ve stayed at. Thank you Susan.

Our family had a wonderful and fun weekend, the house had everything we needed and we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing and having family fun with the pool table, darts and board games. The hot tub was absolutely stunning, spacious and in a private part of the garden. We all enjoyed a lovely walk to the local shops and an afternoon in Blackpool. Thank you for a rememberable family weekend and the welcome goodies were very much enjoyed by all. We would and have already recommended this property.

Friendly staff, beautiful place to stay and local shops nearby

Lakeview is a dreamy location, in a small Derbyshire village overlooking Carsington Water. It is a perfect place to unwind and enjoy the beautiful countryside. Pamela was super helpful, always replying immediately. She was really friendly but not obtrusive. So privacy and peace and quiet was just as I had hoped! The cottage is well equipped and finished to a high standard. I particularly enjoyed the nightly log fires abd felt right at home. I am very much looking forward to a return visit soon!

This cottage was perfect for us - 2 couples with small children. Louise gave us loads of information before we arrived, and her husband greeted us shortly after we arrived. It was such an easy stay with small children, we had everything we needed, and the stair gate made life so easy! There were lots of lovely touches like providing snacks, coffee and jams. And Louise even provided some glasses for the solar eclipse!! The surroundings are really peaceful and the kids loved the 2 Shetland ponies in the field opposite. There are lots of options for walks from the cottage, or a short drive away. The Black Lion pub did a great roast dinner. I found there was so much thought put into the stay and Louise was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend!

We just had an incredible two-night stay here, and we can't say enough good things! Nathan was always nearby and amazingly helpful, making our experience feel just like home. The place is a hidden gem—so peaceful and a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city! With Katie and Nathan living just a stone's throw away, we felt completely private and safe. The highlight of our mornings? A refreshing stroll around the farm, something we had missed for far too long! This place has absolutely stolen our hearts. It’s truly worth every moment, and we will definitely recommend it highly to all our friends and family!

What can I say about this place.. 100 things 100 times over!! I did not want to leave! On top of the amazing customer service despite it being a self check in, I felt super welcome immediately and made to sure his property which was absolutely to die for stunning; And looks far better than the photos lead on to believe, was kept squeaky clean and decluttered, exactly how it was when we arrived! Was meant to be only a simple stay for us as we intended on doing hikes in the local area but it ended up being the total highlight of our trip! Being able to allow our four dogs off leash from the front door of the property with no worries was absolutely amazing and they all extremely enjoyable the independence and joy of well kept, Clean grass, and the completely enclosed area surrounding ten Entire property, part of it with the main castle and part of it completely private with the hot tub and sauna to the rear. Never have I ever felt so secure in a property than this home. Highly recommend!!

Great little find. Unfortunately it was only a place to lay our head before travelling from Manchester airport the next day. Really wish we could have stayed longer. Beautiful home, very clean and aesthetically pleasing! This is also such a well stocked Air Bnb and felt like all the little details had been thought of. Highly recomend. Thanks so much.

We had a lovely weekend at Swallows Nest, the property is really spacious and set on 3 levels. My eldest son joined us from Manchester and we were able to watch the moon raking festival which was really pretty and great fun. Thanks for a lovely time, would really recommend

My daughter and I had a lovely weekend stay. The cottage has been done beautifully and Jane has thought of absolutely everything to make your stay comfortable. Great wine bar and new bistro in town and easy to get into Manchester by train from station 10 mins away. Would definitely stay again.

I stayed with my mum and friends in the Airbnb for around one week. It is stylish, clean and comfortable. It is in a convenient location with lots of restaurants. Andy and Paula are great hosts. I once had some problem with opening the main door lock. Andy was responsive and called me directly and gave me clear instructions to help. I really have an enjoyable stay and would highly recommend this place to others.

We had a wonderful stay in Linda's chicken barn. The owner is so thoughtful with welcome notes and wine on our arrival. The barn is fully equipped with lots of towels, things for quick breakfast and hot drinks, real feel home and comfortable. The barn is well decorated with chicken farm items. We even found the perfect BBQ kits and equipment to have a BBQ on second day of our arrival, that was really blessing. The layout of the barn was a surprise, but we quickly grown love it. The location is beautiful and quiet. Many hiking routes at the footsteps. We are a couple with two grown-up boys. We found so much to do in the area, boys found lots of climbing (bouldering). Together we did hiking, walking through gorges, caves. These places are all in 40 minutes driving distance. Many thanks for the barn, the loving and caring you have put in.

This was our second time at Phils, first time to celebrate my 70th second time for my husbands 75th. When I asked my family where they wanted to celebrate my husbands 75th birthday it was Phils place. Its perfect for our multi-generational family, amples of space and the pool and hot tub are the icing on the cake. We all had the best time and we made lots of memories. Thank you Phil for the use of your lovely home.

Great stay as a family of 5 with two children and 1 infant. The stay was pleasant and a great location. We visited alton towers as well as Thorpe and Ashbourne. Great communication. Great recommendations. Very nice cottage and had everything you need to cook, relax, etc. Rooms were good, we didn't love the bed but it's personal choice. A bit noisy having our baby in the travel cot but we slept okay. We didn't get to explore any walks but seems to be in such a fab location to do some.

We very much enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage. The space is great and as an extra bonus, you get to use a heated pool and brilliant games room. We went early Jan and there was loads of snow, as well as pretty cold temperatures, but the house warmed up very quickly and we were always more than comfortable. The property is close enough to Bakewell for a short drive or taxi ride, should you want to venture into town. We're thinking about going back in the summer.

What a wonderful stay at Manor Farm. The house was beautiful, well maintained, extremely spacious and very comfortable. The surrounding countryside was stunning, with great food being served in nearby pubs and plenty of places to visit. Great space for youngsters too, with the wildlife - baby rabbits, sheep and birds and of course the swimming pool and games room, all of which they loved. Thanks to the hosts for their welcome and hospitable atmosphere.

Great value for money. Can't stress enough how friendly and reliable the staff were. We had a lovely week stay, the house was clean, the beds were comfy and the scenery was perfect. We were informed of the booking system for the swimming pool and games room, so you could have the room to yourself which was great. The pool was clean, the games room was kept tidy and the house surroundings were really lovely to walk around. You can tell the grounds were well maintained and kept in good shape as the workers never stopped, but were always so friendly. This property is perfect for bike riders, walkers and pub crawlers. You couldn't get bored.

We stayed in the main farm house in a group of 6. The house was beautiful, spacious and comfortable in every room. The garden was large with a hot tub, outdoor seating and sand pit for the kids. Loved the fact you can feed the goats, there was a full guide to recommended places nearby for days out and places to see or visit. The host was really lovely and available to help whenever we needed. We would definitely love to come back here and see more of the surrounding areas and especially chatsworth house and gardens. Highly recommend for anyone wishing to have a chilled, peaceful holiday and for people wanting to get out and see the beautiful local towns, history and days out with the kids. Thanks for a fantastic stay!

Absolutely loved this little house gorgeous walks stunning views all around definitely would recomend if you like the outdoors peaceful and john was great with giving us little tips on our walks
