Had a wonderful 2 nights staying in the cottage on a working farm. It felt really peaceful but was also only a 5-10 min drive to Ruthin. We stayed here so we could go walking in the Clwydian Range, this was around a 15-20 min drive depending on which car park we wanted to start the walk from, but it was all perfect for us. We even found a short local walk from the cottage itself along a public footpath. The cottage was very well equipped, we used the kitchen each evening, and it was a lovely cozy space. The cottage was immaculate and we really enjoyed the hot tub, and watching the horses nearby. Richard and Ceri were lovely and welcoming hosts and we'd highly recommend the rural retreat.

What a fabulous 3 night stay we had here. Steven was the perfect host, showing us everything we needed to know. Leaving a welcome pack of fresh free range eggs from own hens, bread and milk along with wine and beer. The moment we arrived we felt immediately relaxed. The barn was beautifully converted and very clean and welcoming. Dogs welcome and Maggie the spaniel made our pooch welcome. Hot tub was delightful and a great way to wind down after a day of sightseeing around. Beds very sumptuous. Cannot wait to return, thank you Steven and Luke 👍

We had a lovely stay at Pilgrim Cottage. Cosy, easy to find, and squeaky clean! We didn’t use the hot tub as we were out for most of the day, but it is a beautiful set up and it was a shame not to have had time to give it a go. The beds were really comfy and we so slept well with it being so quiet. Overall, we would recommend and thank you Sam for being so communicative ☺️

We have just stayed at The Coach House and it was the absolute perfect getaway. The surroundings are stunning, such a picturesque area and beautiful and quiet. The garden area was amazing for our son to run around in and Steph and Marcus even allowed our son to play on a toy tractor I believe was one of their children’s, which he absolutely loved. The property was great, beautiful and rustic throughout but with beautiful modern touches, the bathroom was especially nice. Sun beaming through the window whilst getting ready in a morning was particularly nice. The hot tub was immaculate and clean and instructions were simple to follow, hosts had all of the wood prepared and ready for use aswell. Overall this has been one of my favourite stays. My family loved it and felt right at home. We went to Snowdon one day and Chester Zoo another, both within a short enough distance and the drive to Snowdon is particularly stunning. 10/10

Our weekend away was great, 100% would recommend to anyone who wants a beautiful time away. Jane was a lovely and wonderful host with experience behind her belt which shows through when giving the tour of the house and grounds. She handled everything that we needed with efficiency. The house was beautiful, the scenery was lovely, it was very peaceful and we will be definitely be booking it again down the line.

We had the most wonderful stay at the cottage. Jan and her husband were so kind, friendly and welcoming. The check in process was super easy and we were given a lovely tour of the cottage and all the facilities. The garden was secure which was great for our dogs. The cottage was super clear and the beds were very comfy. The hot tub was amazing! And the views all around the cottage were breathtaking. There was a really helpful guide in the cottage filled with local recommendations which we found really helpful. My cousin was planning to come visit us whilst we stayed at the cottage in her small camper van, Jan was so kind and allowed her to park in their yard so she could be close to us instead of having to park at a campsite. Their kindness blew us away!

Stayed here for the weekend whilst walking in North Wales. The house was beautiful and as described on the website. Joe was responsive to any of our questions and nothing was too much trouble. Great host and house. As described. Thank you. ☺️

Had another amazing stay here at Caer Fedwen Barns, absolutely love it here and will be planning another trip soon! The alpacas were an added bonus this time, they're so fluffy! Hot tub and cottage were so clean and homely. This trip was for my birthday and Eleanor made it extra special with the gift basket, wine, balloons and cake. Thank you for a wonderful holiday. p.s would recommend Con Amici Italian restaurant, 10 minutes drive from the cottages

Robert’s was a real ‘home from home’ (sorry for the cliche but it was). We felt right at home in a cute, pristine and peaceful setting that had everything you’d ever need. The beautiful courtyard garden at the rear was right on the towpath but still peaceful to sit out and have breakfast while we watched the world go by slowly - after we’d all slept so, so well. The cottage is also really convenient for Chester which we visited on the Saturday and we were really impressed with the huge variety of shops and restaurants. So we ran out of time for the walkable pubs near the cottage, but appreciated the recommendations and really clear instructions anyway! Thanks Robert for sharing your home and a wonderful stay!

Lock Cottage is a wonderful property. The location is idyllic and peaceful but with easy access to supermarkets etc in Welshpool and well placed for exploring Shropshire and Mid Wales. Berriew (with local shop and cafe) is a short walk down the canal and there's a great pub in the other direction. The house itself had everything we needed for a family holiday with 2 teenagers and dog. The house is really well laid out and such an easy, comfortable property to stay in. Emma and Andrew have clearly spent a lot of time thinking about what makes a great holiday and the house has been renovated to a very high standard. Little extras like dog towels, dog bowls, great outdoor facilities and lovely welcome pack were all very much appreciated. Emma was an excellent host who was very quick to respond to messages. We plan to return and bring bikes next time to take advantage of the excellent cycle facilities!

Location was perfect for exploring Ludlow and all of its history and eateries. Close to market square; the castle and was still quiet and peaceful. We forgot our toiletries but fortunately the property is close to all the shops so that was no bother at all. The house itself was the perfect space, especially the enclosed garden for our two dogs. We really appreciated the old fashioned character of the property and would love to come back to Ludlow and stay again.

What a perfect stay! Jo’s place was lovely, it had everything you could need. Was quiet, peaceful, exactly as described. Jo’s guide to the place was so thorough and very helpful. We went on some lovely walks in the area - great location, can get to some really great spots without driving. Will come again :)

This is a great option at an affordable price! The house is in pristine condition, and the rooms are actually slightly larger than they look on the photos! The beds were comfortable, and the decor was great. Dewi was a fantastic host: responsive and helpful. Highly recommended!

Me and my dog stayed in Kit Cottage and we didn't want to leave!! The cottage is so homely and cosy! The area is absolutely beautiful, especially sitting by the water in Leintwardine Town with a drink after walking down. Carding Mill Valley and the Long Mynd was absolutely beautiful and we watched the birds of prey at the top. You can drive all the way up if you have mobility issues etc. We had the most incredible, peaceful few days and Andrea was very friendly and accommodating. There were no sheep currently in the fields next to the property so my girl was able to have some off lead exercise. The book of local walks was also invaluable. I couldn't recommend this gem more! We'll be back for another break away from life! 🩷

Lovely little cottage. Had everything you needed and is exactly how it's described. Nothing around it, you have to drive really but that's okay. Its got a great view and very peaceful. Drive way is a little awkward to get in and out but manageable. We had a lovely time and would definitely recommend.

We stayed with our kids over Newyear and it was the perfect spot for us - close to neighbouring friends. Despite the howling storm and winds it was very cosy! we loved the cottage especially the decor and attention to detail. It had everything we needed for our short trip. We would love to come and visit again soon :)

Beautiful little cottage, right in the centre, very clean and cosy

Great location and lovely little touches made by Juile to make it homely. Really enjoyed our stay. One small point for possible improvement could be better mattresses. Apart from that very enjoyable.

First of all a very friendly and personable host. An ideal property for a couple Cosy lounge, very usable kitchen, spacious bathroom with large shower cubicle and a good sized bedroom with comfortable bed.

Great little cottage with every amenity (washing machine, dishwasher USB sockets etc etc) you need for a very comfortable stay. Nice design too. The enclosed yard is handy for dog owners.

What a great find! The cottage was charming and immaculately clean. It's in a beautiful area of the country and couldn't be in a quieter location. We definitely aim to visit again.

We stayed for the weekend at River Cottage while visiting the Train Gala at Llangollen Railway. Absolute beautiful spot , ideal for the railway and the nearby Grouse Inn. Couldn't fault anything, perfect weather, perfect location , would recommend without a doubt! Thank you Hannah, you'll defo see us again :)

An absolutly cracking stay we had a Debbie's property. We loved the secluded location of the property with great views. A perfect hub to go out exploring from and to return to at the end of the day and to either light the open fire or jump in the hot tub made it perfect for our quiet gateway with the kids. The only issue we had was on our first day while having tesco food delivered as we put our location as Ty Hen which sent the tesco delivery driver to the wrong place...twice. As soon as they accepted our 'what 3 words location' they found us straight away and told us to use the address Ty Nant next time and they would find us straight away. But apart from that small issue we had a great time and would definitely stay again. Thanks Debbie.
