Three old friends and I stayed at Johanna’s place to attend a wedding nearby. The house was very spacious and comfortable and the surroundings very peaceful. Johanna was friendly and responsive and allowed us to check in early in order to get ready in time for the wedding. The house instructions and directions were very clear. Would happily stay again.

We were very happy with Stickney's accommodation. It was a good price for the size, very clean, and the beds were comfortable. The chocolates and bottle of wine were a really welcoming touch! We appreciated the fire wood as the evening was a bit cold - having a fireplace was another nice touch! Thank you, Stickney for your great communication and nice clean place in lovely Waikanae!

Close to beach, restaurants and. Four Square. Quirky beachy decor. Spa was great after swim in the sea. Bikes were excellent to use on Kapiti Cycle trail which is right there.

Whether we were sharing meals, soaking in the spa under the stars, or simply unwinding in the serene indoor spaces, the home offered the perfect setting to reconnect, laugh, and rest. The surrounding trees, birdsong, and lush gardens made it feel like we were held by nature the entire time — utterly magical. Alice was a phenomenal host: warm, communicative, and thoughtful throughout. She’s created a space that’s more than just a place to stay — it’s a place to pause, exhale, and truly be. We left feeling restored and full of gratitude. Can't wait to return, thank you Alice.

Was visiting for the Māoriland Film Festival and this was a beautiful house in a fantastic location. Walking distance to the beach, te Chur_ch cafe and 5 min drive to town. Lots of room for everyone, 100% would recommend and hope to come back and stay again.

Cindy's whare was the perfect place to host a house of kaumātua. It was clean, pristine, the kitchen had everything to prepare meals. We were thankful for the neighbours too as they reminded us about rubbish/recycling day in and amongst a busy film festival schedule. A beautiful spot.

A fantastic stay in a perfect location! Nestled right between Featherston, Greytown, and Martinborough, this spot made it easy to explore the towns while still offering peace and privacy. The house was well-equipped with everything we needed for cooking in and unwinding. With six of us, there was plenty of space to spread out and relax. Would definitely stay again!

It was an absolute delight staying at Mikaela's house. We were there for one night only and wish we would stay longer. The room is huge, modern and very clean. We had all the privacy we could get, it was quiet and very relaxing.

Amazing Amazing and Amazing! To wake up to this view was out of this world! Then having the awesome access to the beach. Everything you require is at the house….may be a little more expensive than some of the other Kapiti properties. But it is worth every penny! Thanks Julie and Kelly (the very helpful site Manager)

A lovely house with great indoor and outdoor areas. The house had everything we needed for a fun and relaxing weekend including a hot tub, pool table and darts. We took advantage of the local bike trails too. Fantastic!

Such a great place to stay, perfect for our group. Lots of space, both as a large group but also breakout areas. Outdoors is stunning, great to wander around in the sun and fresh air, very quiet and peaceful - our dogs love it!! Well equipped throughout, kitchen had all the staples and plenty of serving ware for group meals, bedrooms were all fabulously set out, plenty of extra bedding and towels if needed. Lots of games to have fun with, plus the pool and tennis court. We had a blast, thank you for having us!!

Like Philippa stated when villa finishes renovation it definitely looks grand and posh. But still loved interiors tastefully decorated furniture and personal touches. All of us enjoyed something different than normal air b&b experience. Thanks

We honestly can't rate this place highly enough, it was a stunning location which felt a million miles from anywhere, but was so accessable to all the local amenities. Wish we could have stayed longer! Bradley very kindly let us have a late check out so we could soak up the peace and tranquility that little bit longer! The property is done beautifully, and has everything you need including games, books, a walk on the property, the spa, and we didn't even notice the lack of WiFi, we were too busy switching off and enjoying the place! Perfect break away and will definitely be back!

Beautiful old house. Pics on here don't do the place justice, heaps of space and very comfy bed. Super close to the centre and within walking distance of all the places you'd want in Upper Hutt.

This is my second time staying at this gorgeous property and I would definitely return. It is exquisite, a true peaceful sanctuary and a must stay if visiting Carterton. Thanks Bronwyn!
