What a wonderfully stunning house - truly worth a visit on its own without even stepping foot outside into the quaint, peaceful and serene Prince Albert. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Elfen House. Thank you to our gracious host for making our stay so special.

The place is beautiful, but you gonna freeze to death there, no heaters, and they got electricity problem, you gonna stay in darkness for straight 6hrs, the back up batteries doesn’t work, the fact that the full house has only 2 bathroom was a huge turn off, rooms are not ensuit… Host is very rude, they don’t care about guest, she kicks you out when it’s 10 on the day of check out.. we won’t go back there

Charming house. Nice bedrooms. Lovely living / kitchen space. Peaceful area, but easy walk to restaurants and shops. Lovely to have a pool in January heat.

Our principle contact was Jonathan who couldn’t have done more for us, a superb host who lives nearby. The property is well equipped throughout and located in a safe residential area just 200m from the estuary. We spent 24 wonderful days there. One point is that internal access to the upstairs is by a rather narrow spiral staircase which might not suit all ie elderly but for others ie children a point of excitement. I would have no hesitation in highly recommending both the property and hosts as a wonderful home to relax and unwind in. We’ve only found one other to match!

This is the most stunning place. A beautiful house, loads of space. We loved the open space in the main living area. It has everything you need. The outside space is exceptional, offering eating and seating areas with a fabulous pool. Even on the hottest days, it was cool and relaxing. The town of Oudtshoorn is friendly and has some wonderful cafes and restaurants, plus some brilliant activities just out of town (caves, wildlife ranch, hiking). Our hosts were the very best we have ever had, friendly, helpful, courteous and offered some great ideas for the area. This home is most definitely the best we have ever stayed in and we will be definitely back as often as we can! Thank you to this fabulous family!

This is one of favorite Air BnBs. Communication was smooth from the start. Kelvin is a gracious host - polite, friendly and respectful at all times. The house is equipped for a comfortable stay and even has beach chairs and an umbrella to use during the stay. Thank you for making this a memorable visit. We would’ve loved to stay longer!

Highly recommended stay, good value!

Our family of 7 adults stayed here for the weekend, and it was wonderful! We loved the beautiful view from the balconies, and appreciated each room’s ansuite bathroom - really a nice comfy and quiet setting, and we felt right at home. Because of the cold and rainy weather we had to use the portable space heaters all the time while inside (but we are used to central heating in the USA.) Since there is no clothes dryer, some of our clothes took 2 days to dry - probably because of the weather at the time.) Glad we washed a few loads as soon as we checked in on Friday. We enjoyed building a puzzle at night, (found on top of the fridge) but unfortunately we were not able to finish it, so next time we should stay longer and relax more!

This was a stunning place in a beautiful location. We could not have asked for better accommodation for our party of 9. The house is beautifully furnished, indoors and outdoors, and has breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean from a high vantage point. There was so much to do in the area that all our excursions were interesting and fun and if we opted to stay home and relax, we could take a stroll down to the beach, visit local restaurants or explore nearby hiking trails. Patricia and Ray were great hosts and made our stay easy and comfortable. Would definitely come back again to this special place!

Ein wahres Juwel – viel mehr als nur eine Unterkunft! Wir haben dieses Haus sehr spontan auf unserer Durchreise gebucht und hatten eigentlich keine großen Erwartungen – wir brauchten nur eine Unterkunft für eine Nacht. Doch was wir hier vorgefunden haben, hat uns komplett begeistert! Dieses Haus ist mit so viel Liebe gestaltet, dass man sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen fühlt. Es ist nicht nur das sauberste, ordentlichste und schönste Haus, das wir auf unserer gesamten Reise gebucht haben, sondern auch noch das günstigste – ein echtes Highlight! Jedes Detail ist durchdacht: Zwei wunderschöne Bäder mit einer freistehenden Badewanne und einer großen Dusche, ein traumhafter Blick bis aufs Wasser und ein liebevoll angelegter Garten, der zum Verweilen einlädt. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns der Außenbereich mit Schaukeln und sogar einer Seilbahn – unser Kleinster wollte gar nicht mehr weg! Diese Unterkunft ist ein echtes Juwel. The home was spotless, clutter free, comfy beds and the garden very well kept and peaceful. Good pizzas in walking distance and beach too.

Nice and quite big Beach House in a Gated Community at the beach. We (family with 2 kids) stayed 3 nights and had a great time. We can certainly recommend this accommodation.

We had a wonderful stay. The house is perfectly situated with a truly amazing view of the bay. The house was clean and has been set up with quality appliances and utensils etc. We loved the fact that it was only 40metres to the gate (coded) which leads onto the ocean and we spent hours snorkling in amazing conditions. It allows for great braaing and simply sitting taking in the view and its also well protected from wind. We saw loads of dolphins daily. Wendy was a very good host throughout.

We have stayed in Groot Bacrivier before but this is the best Airbnb we have been to . We loved the view , security and the internal layout which was spacious and very calming . Probably one of the best Airbnb we have stayed in . Thoroughly recommended !!

Our family’s stay was wonderful. Location across from the beach/lagoon was so great and the kids loved swimming in the ocean. The view is spectacular. The home was so well appointed with everything we needed to make our week’s stay so enjoyable. Beach chairs and towels were very helpful as well. Vic met us at the house to give us the key and instructions, he made the checkin and check out very simple and quick. He was personable and knowledgeable about the house as well. Thank you for hosting us. We would stay again next time we come visit from Canada 🇨🇦 😊

It’s a really great place to stay, with great view, too. It’s a classic and cozy house, it makes you feel comfortable and it’s like a home for you. The kitchen is amazing, and have all what you need to cook for a big group, the bathrooms are clean and works in perfect condition. Check in is so easy, also check out is easier. The neighbourhood is so quiet and nice and beautiful. What is really amazing though; is Zanelle, she is so nice and responds very quick, we face a little problem and she immediately respond and send some help, thank you Zanelle ❤️ definitely if I came back here I’ll go to the same place

This is a beautiful location and a great place to stay with fantastic proximity to the beach. The house is very well appointed and comfortable. It is also spacious. The verandah has lovely view.

Was a wonderful cottage on the river banks. Wish we could have stayed longer.
