Owaka Valley : locations de vacances

Our party of three stayed two nights in this property, and it worked out fine. We wanted a place to stay somewhere along the Southern Scenic Route between Invercargill and Dunedin so as not to rush the trip - sort of break up the trip into two segments in order to accomodate the tides at Cathedral Caves. We used the house as a base to explore East of Cathedral Caves: Jack's Blowhole, Surat Beach, Nugget Point lighthouse, and Roaring Bay Penguin Observatory. The house has a great view and the gardens are lovely. It's really peaceful at night. The house was clean, and the clear instructions for working the gas stove were great. Communications with the hosts were fine. We very much enjoyed our time in this home.

This was a fabulous stay. It is a very comfortable house with everything you need including the bits and pieces to get you started. It is situated on a hillside about 4min from town and has a wonderful panoramic view to die for, out of the very large lounge and from the deck. It is very private and quiet place with plenty of room for parking and the Wi-Fi was great. Hilary met us when we arrived and it was so nice to also meet hubby George down at the local pub. They are great hosts. We will have very happy memories of our stay and can thoroughly recommend staying there.

Great place! Steps outside door lead right into town (a lot of steps but this is Dunedin!). Best Airbnb stocked kitchen I have ever been in! Tons of pots, pans, dishes etc. that were neatly organized. large bedrooms with cleverly reflective windows so people passing by don’t see in. Weather forbade use of deck but it gave great views of Dunedin.

Really nice, cosy place in a good location, noting we had a party of six overseas travellers. Julie was nice and responsive with all communication and the property was well situated for travellers with transport. Great VFM and would recommend staying there!

We really enjoyed staying at Niagara Ridge Retreat. The house was comfortable, view was amazing, and we liked the location.

This is a tidy and peaceful spot to relax and explore the Catlins. It’s close to Owaka and only a short drive to many of the sights. Our young children especially felt at home with the toys. We also enjoyed sitting on the deck and stargazing on a clear night. Highly recommend and would stay again!

I would recommend staying at the beach house. It’s in a beautiful location. I felt right at home as soon as I walked in. Definitely will be back in the future.

This has to be the best accommodation I have ever stayed in and I travel in NZ quite a bit. The cottage is spacious, spotlessly clean and has to be the best equipped ever! Honestly, there is nothing you need that isn’t there. Ses was very helpful and gave clear instructions on how to find our way there. I can’t recommend it enough.
