Our family of 6 stayed between Christmas and New Years. Like Alicia and Glenn, we also homeschool our four kids (ages 12-6). We were worn down from the holidays and daily life, so were looking for a refreshing time away from home. Our stay was exactly that. The home and property were extremely peaceful being out in the woods. We did several trail walks and explored the creeks around the property. The kids thought the circular nature of the home, and hot tub were fun too. I appreciated the various Christian decor in the home, it gave me some things to think about as we hung out. But even more than all of that, we had a wonderful chat with Alicia and Glenn that was very refreshing to our spirits. If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet getaway that is focused on Jesus and the holy spirt this is the place for you. This place is a slice of heaven. It’s quiet and perfect for a group of family / family friends / and for myself a bachelorette group. We enjoyed the tranquility and the feeling of right at home! The house was cute and clean. You get your bang for your buck here. My only advice would be if you book, bring a car that can climb a hill, as the home is on top of (what feels like) mountain! But makes for gorgeous views.

This is our 2nd time staying at Leslie Ann's cabin. The quiet country side made for a relaxing weekend get away. The cabin was as clean and beautiful as the first time we stayed. The rocking chairs on the porch gives way to top tier relaxing. On our way to town for dinner we saw a small herd of deer in a clearing as we passed. Everything about this cabin and it's environment is so serene and wonderful. We will be back!

We had An amazing time staying at Emily’s! My daughter was out early every morning to say hi to the horses and loved the kitty and dogs visiting too! Beds were comfy!

Kelly and her husband Paul were wonderful! Very friendly, hospitable, and helpful! My friend and I stayed for the derby and they gave us souvenir glasses and wine bottle. They also had great suggestion on where to eat and things to do! I hope to be able to stay again sometime!

Very well stocked with extras. Enjoyed the outdoor patio.

We loved our stay at Kamp Kessa. The surroundings were beautiful and Dr. T was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed being able to visit the horses. Our dogs loved the open area next to the cabin.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Little House. It suited all of our needs and was in a great location. Bill provided excellent communication and instructions and was quick to respond to our messages. We appreciated the availability of drinks and snacks for a small price and enjoyed the welcome gift waiting for us when we arrived.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this townhouse! Absolutely beautifully decorated to fit the bourbon theme, perfect for our getaway to visit the Bourbon trail! The place was clean and the sheets/pillows were very comfortable! While it was just my husband and myself, the space had plenty of room for a group stay as well. Our host was very responsive and provided clear instructions for parking/access to townhouse, and went above and beyond within the home with plenty of recommendations for things to do! The surrounding neighborhood was more urban than expected, however we felt very safe and were conveniently located to downtown Lexington where we found many fabulous restaurants with great food for all meals and we were within 30-40 minutes to the distilleries we wanted to visit. Would definitely recommend this place to stay and would stay again for future visits! Thank you for a great experience!

We had a great time! Private fishing pond, if you are wanting a nature getaway this is your place. Very secluded, big yard, fire pit, was a very relaxing weekend! The hosts are very responsive. All around a wonderful stay.

What a lovely place in the middle of horse country. The cottage is very private and quiet. Nice, homey decor, and everything you could want for a nice stay. The owners are very responsive, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend staying here.

The home is isolated and quiet. There is a very low light pollution factor, so the stars are amazing. Just as we happened to be looking up we were able to follow the space station as it traversed the night sky. The noises are country noises that I grew to love as a kid. Zero traffic sounds. The place is solid, comfortable and quiet. The amenities are perfect if you are looking to for a place to think and enjoy peace. Jennifer was very helpful even before we arrived. She has a pet friendly place - we have 2 very old gentleman-dogs; one blind, the other deaf. She found us an experienced dog sitter who sat with them the whole time we were at the Ark Encounter (5-6 hours) and we came home to find them both asleep. That's the highest marks those 2 can give a sitter - if they are both comfortable enough to nap. Highly Recommend Pastoral View and Jennifer.

This home is a beautiful ranch. The surroundings are breathtaking. Our group had ample and comfortable lodging the nights we were there. It is wonderful and we look forward to returning. Should they add more sleeping options, it would be an even more captivating location. Cindy was super and everything was incredible.

This is a beautiful, historic, and impressive home. Our family took a weekend in the area and greatly enjoyed staying at Barr House Inn. The rooms were large, furnishings elegant, entrance impressive, and the location with a short drive to Lexington was helpful. An added benefit was the swimming pool with a deck and chairs/tables for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. All of the bedrooms, two of the bathrooms, as well as the kitchen were on the second floor, which made it easy for family gatherings. It was a great and enjoyable weekend at this historic home.

Great place. Perfect country setting and loved the pool / pool house setup, very relaxing. House was great for our large family and had great design aesthetic with specific attention to details. Would recommend and would stay again.
