We came to Bar Harbor for the MDI Marathon, and this ended up the perfect location, just two blocks from the start line. Price-wise it was comparable to any hotels for the four of us and the full kitchen helped us save some time and money by prepping most of our own meals. Having laundry was a huge plus for a longer stay and being able to pack less. Everything was well-maintained and Sara gave us great info and local recommendations before our stay. Would definitely recommend!

I can’t say enough about this property or Jeff as a host. If you’re looking for a place that feels like home but probably better. This is the spot. Hot tub and sauna were a great touch for a very relaxing stay. I will be back!!!

Clean and comfortable

This was the perfect rental for our family of 4 for the thanksgiving holiday. The home had everything we needed and wanted, great location within walking distance of so many great places in Rockland, and was clean and comfortable. Alicia went out of her way to provide recommendations for our stay! This is probably the best Airbnb we’ve stayed at and the most helpful host we’ve encountered. Highly recommend and thank you to Alicia and family for making our week so enjoyable while spending time with our kids on their college break.

Our stay was absolutely perfect. Robard did everything he could to make us feel welcome. We had a few questions given that we were visiting in the off seasoning and he always responded quickly and helpfully. His place was clean and cozy!

We had an amazing time over valentines day weekend. There was a snow storm and Kent snow blowed around our vehicle to make sure we could get out. The house is very comfortable and peaceful, amazing view of the river and just off the road enough to not be bothered by passing traffic. Definitely recommend!!!!

The home was very welcoming and accommodating for our family of 5. The views were spectacular at sunrise, sunset and during the snowstorm. Bald Eagles and hawks would land in the trees right in front of the house. Also, there was a skating pond down the street my family love to visit almost each evening. There was an alarm going off as soon as we arrived, Debbi was incredibly fast responding and sending someone to check it out clear it up. On the plus someone came and plowed the driveway after the snowstorm it was great. She left a basket of local food and my family ate it up. We are so thankful for our relaxing week and would love to return.

We had a wonderful stay at this Maine house--Barb, the property manager was incredibly responsive, helped with a heating issue while we were there and had the repairs done same day--The house was well equipped with everything you need for a family getaway at the beach! puzzles and games galore, kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed for family meals (including lobster cooking essentials--bibs, crackers, steam pots) Great little fire pit out front which we enjoyed, and fenced in back yard area so pets or kids can be safely contained :) Linens, towels, all clean and provided--truly a wonderful home away from home, perfect for our family trip to the beach!

This was a great place to stay the night while in town for an event. Munjoy Hill is a great area to be and it’s easy to walk to a lot of great local spots from there. Check-in was very easy, the place was exactly what we needed. Beds were comfortable too. Would definitely stay again.

Awesome place to stay with a toddler, 5 minute walk to a park. Easy to walk everywhere or drive anywhere! We would stay here again!

This apartment worked perfectly for us - we brought our dog along for a 1 day visit to portland and the place was dog-friendly, free of clutter, and easy to get in/out of (while also secure). There was also a free parking space we could use in a lot around the corner which was helpful for us. The apartment is 2 blocks away from some of the restaurants and shops we wanted to explore, and also relatively close (definitely walkable) to several great breweries. Would definitely stay here again if given the opportunity.

This spacious place was perfect for a getaway! So close to restaurants , shops and Belfast Harbor walk, yet so quiet at night.

This gem of an apartment gave us so much peace and joy on our quick getaway to Portland. The interior reminds me of beautiful homes in Denmark and Norway - humble, functional, cozy, and lovingly designed. Both bedrooms and the washroom were spacious, comfortable, and clean. Loved watching the sunset over the amazing view in the living room, and the cute park/sunset spot just a quick walk away (perfect for bringing our puppy). Sadie was a gracious host and made us feel so at home. Would definitely visit again!

This is a simple, beautiful, unpretentious spot. It is completely unlike a hotel room. it didn't have TV, and that was one of the nicest things about it. It is bright and relaxing to be in. It is very well situated as advertised. We would certainly stay there again!

Had a wonderful stay at Mandy’s! I love that she was so proactive and direct with all of the instructions for the home (even a picture where to park). The house is exactly as described. We enjoyed all of the Maine touches. The home was extremely tidy and clutter-free. There is parking for two vehicles on site and local restaurants, shops, and entertainment are a very short walk away. We were away after some snow and came back to the snow being cleaned up in the parking lot. The house is well insulated and felt warm and cozy during negative Maine Winter temperatures. There was nothing negative or worrisome about our stay.

Scott’s home is one of a kind. It is the perfect blend of Maine working class energy with sophisticated, upscale living… industrial AND comfortable. I would highly recommend.

From beginning to end, my sisters and I found the place squeaky clean, comfortable (great beds!), lovely kitchen and newly renovated bathroom. We stayed three nights and our purpose for coming from Philly to Portland was to visit out nephew. We would return again. Thank you, Jessica and Meghan, for all your assistance!

This was the perfect place for a long weekend getaway with a couple friends. We each had our own rooms, the beds were very comfortable, and linens were clean. We enjoyed our walk to/from downtown everyday (15 min walk) and found some great local cafes and bars. Note this unit is on the first floor and the unit above us had a toddler running all around from 6:30am-9am every morning. Would recommend bringing ear plugs if you plan to sleep during these hours.

As a Portland native, I know what to look for in a place to stay when I come home to visit my hometown. The listing checks all the boxes: great location, nice amenities, excellent cooking space, easy access, nice tech touches (strong wifi throughout the unit, white noise machines in both bedrooms, USB ports at bedsides, etc.), and top notch communication and hosting. I will definitely be staying again.

This was our second stay at Dave’s place and we were not disappointed! Very comfortable apartment with great amenities and Dave generously provided toiletries. The recent kitchen upgrade completes the well-thought out homey appeal. The dog-friendly beach is a short walk and there is a nice local bakery across the street. We will definitely be back!
