Robert's retreat is exactly what our family needed to get away from our ticky-tacky suburban lifestyle. Our dog could run free as could our kids. Yes it was colder/wetter than we hoped and being from the south put as at odds with nature but we enjoyed the wonderful wide open out doors in small sprints. From walking the hanging foot bridge over and over to teaching my girls to cast and reel their first rod. We lit a fire the first night and the negative ions had the effect i had hoped for. My kids read and relaxed for bedtime. Robert is the epitome of "hospitality " always a few minutes away via chat to answer questions and provide guidance. I did learn that the Airbnb policy indicates that it is incumbent on the renter to provide their own firewood. Robert was gracious enough to supply wood for our first night but something you should consider logistically if staying more than a day during winter. We look forward to enjoying Robert's retreat again. Clan Milligan

We’re an outdoorsy family and we all loved our stay in Glenn’s home, right by the water with easy to launch area for the kayaks, no light pollution at night to watch a blanket of stars in the sky. Our fur baby loved it just as much and took a liking to Glenn. Thank you and hope to be back this summer!!!

Stayed here for a surprise stay for my partner and I’s anniversary. First off, the Loft was absolutely incredible, everything was exactly as pictured and pristine. Will definitely be coming back in the future to take advantage of the complimentary breakfast and beautiful views of the Bridgewater area. Its proximity to the new Buc-ee’s location opening in the summer was also a plus. Thank you MJ, for the amazing stay!

Diane & John were absolutely amazing hosts. Very responsive, accommodating and kind. Their property is phenomenal. The views, the quiet, the solitude, everything about it was just "what the doctor ordered", so to speak. I cannot recommend this property, or the hosts, highly enough. My guest and I had a wonderful stay, and very much look forward to a return trip next year, if not sooner. Thank you, Diane and John, for making our weeklong stay better than expected.

We truly enjoyed our visit to River Daze during Valentine’s weekend! We were welcomed with a thoughtful note, yummy snacks, & treats for our pup. The sunset views were absolutely incredible & the hot tub after a day of skiing was the perfect touch! Check-in & checkout was a breeze & the host was very responsive . The home is located near Massanutten & several vineyards which we took full advantage of during our trip. The home was tidy, fully stocked with the essentials, & decorated nicely. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home with us! We had an amazing time!

We had a large group at the compound by the swinging bridge for New Years and it was absolutely ideal! We played games by the fire place, cooked delicious meals, relaxed in the sauna and hot tub, danced and watched movies in the game room, laughed around the fire pits, played frisbee in the lawn, and watched an incredible double rainbow over the river after a thunderstorm. The beds were very comfortable and the vibe was cozy and lived in. Taki was great to communicate with and we’re very thankful to him and his family for creating such a sanctuary. We definitely hope to return!

We had a great stay! The home was inviting and comfortable. Ian responded quickly to questions. Enjoyed the river property with the dogs. Felt right at home.

Shiloh Lodge was an incredible place to stay, truly feeling like a home away from home. The property was beautifully maintained, offering stunning views and a serene atmosphere. Inside, everything was spotless and thoughtfully arranged, creating a perfect blend of coziness and luxury. From the breathtaking scenery to the fun puzzles, board games, and even a waffle maker, this spot had everything for a relaxing getaway in the heart of nature. Thank you Diana!! This is a wonderful home with lots of history. The house is nicely modernized, comfortable for large groups, and has tons of outdoor space. Great for family meals, reading by the fire, and everything you hope from a country retreat.

This property is an absolute gem! It was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated to reflect the peaceful river surroundings. The host went above and beyond, providing an amazing selection of snacks, bathroom essentials, and kitchen supplies, which is such a thoughtful touch, especially since there aren’t many stores nearby. The location was perfect for exploring, Luray Caverns and White Oak Lavender Farm just a short drive away, in opposite directions. The lavender farm was the highlight of my trip I absolutely loved it! Communication with the host was seamless, and they responded quickly to any messages. The setting was serene and breathtaking, making it the perfect getaway. I would love to return and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and well-appointed retreat!

We had a wonderful weekend away with family! Very accommodating for family with kiddos! The location is perfect with a beautiful stream and walking path directly across the street. Walkable to Main St and many restaurants and Luray attractions! The house was clean and spacious. We will definitely be back again!

Have stayed here multiple times now but this visit was specifically for my daughter and son in law to enjoy a babymoon getaway. The river is easily accessible so they floated in tubes one day and took their canoe out another. They were able to take their dog as it is dog friendly. They grilled out and enjoyed the beautiful decks around the home. Resturant suggestions were layed out with local menus as well as local attractions. Luray Caverns is close by, Cooters, from Dukes of Hazards store serves a great lunch, and the drive and scenery all around is incredible. Sharon is the best host and always available by text or phone for questions. Check in and out were simple.

The condo was spacious, cozy, and furnished with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Julianne was funny, welcoming, and very accommodating. My husband and I and our dog had a wonderful stay!

Well remodeled condo in a great location. End unit with a lovely view of the golf course. Very clean and well stocked home. A great find!
