The Blue Room is in what was an old bakery, now pottery, on Paternoster row, in the ancient Devon town of Ottery St. Mary. One antique double bed., The sea at Sidmouth is about six miles away. Glorious countryside, walking cycling, antique hunting and just relaxing. Loads of places to explore, Pubs and Inns to find, Ancient Mediaeval Church, Famous Poet and the Burning Tar barrels. We now have a Beaver family creating great interest on the river Otter. There is a safe pace to keep bicycles.

We live in our Country home surrounded by our gardens and the glorious South Devon countryside. 🏠 Private self-contained GROUND FLOOR ensuite bedroom in our house. Access via private main side door. Self check-in via lockbox key access. All recently refurbished. Guests have the whole place to themselves. This includes a bedroom, a bathroom and tea/coffee/toaster/fridge area. ☕️ Dishes and cutlery provided to make a cuppa, breakfast and snacks . Smart TV, Fridge, kettle, toaster & hairdryer provided 🚗 Parking for a medium sized car in marked space- as long as no oil leaks.

The room can be set up as either king size or two single beds, as required. Our house is in a quiet cul-de-sac within five minutes of the town centre, cycle path, river walks, train station, buses, park and leisure centre. On-site parking. We have a warm, light, comfortable and relaxed home. Guests are welcome to use the kitchen for a cup of tea or meals. Likewise the garden when weather permits. We are happy to meet people whilst allowing for quiet, personal space when required.

Nearby there is free parking from 4pm until 11am from May until the end of September if there is a space available. (2hrly during day). Winter parking free. You won't be stuck for choice and ideal base to explore the area or visit family friends, attend a local wedding or get to and from Exeter airport.
