Deborah went above & beyond expectations making us welcome and our small dog it was lovely, she suggested we might like to walk to the beach which was perfect for our dog and us as we'd been travelling in the car, very relaxed, great stay thank you Deborah and Daniel

We had such a great time at Chloe and Ben's. It was clean and spacious, 1 min walk (if that) to the estuary and five minutes to the lovely surf beach so you could visit several times a day. It didn't need to be a big complicated affair as it was so easy to nip back to the house for food etc. The shower was awesome - very strong pressure. Everything was provided - linen, blankets, pillows, glasses, cutlery etc and all in great condition - and the kitchen was well equipped, including dishwasher and lots of good pans. Loved that we could eat outside on the deck, there was a fenced yard for the dog to run (he was in heaven), plus a trampoline, barbecue and fire pit. The view from the deck was stunning, and the overall vibe of the place was so friendly - from other holidaymakers with kids to the people working at the campsite. Would definitely book again.

I loved staying here so much. So beautiful, right on the beach, can't ask for better than that. The view from the deck and inside was so nice. You can hear the waves inside the unit. The cable bay store is very close. Such a lovely place in the far north. I would love to stay here again.

This is a slice of paradise that should come with a warning you may not want to ever leave! Lyndsay and Maurice live at the their property at the back and are the kindest loveliest people who respected our privacy but great to chat with too. it's a quintessential kiwi Bach which is cosy and comfortable. Super dog friendly area Molly had a ball!! dreaming of my next escape there already

We had a wonderful stay, the outlook from the bach is so peaceful. All of our family including the grand kids completely relaxed. We loved our visit and look forward to returning. Thanks for having us and our dog

Awesome spot! can launch boat out front, plenty of space. peaceful with epic scenery. Ya can't beat waking up on the beach! owners super nice and easy to deal with.

Wicked location right on the beach, simple and cozy accommodation, nothing eles matters when you stay here. Pure relaxation and fun. Took kids and dog. We went swimming, fishing off the rocks and kayaking. Local shop only round the corner. We have already booked our next stay!

John was exceedingly friendly and quick to respond to us throughout the process. We were two Americans traveling by the seat of our pants, and even though this was probably the fourth Airbnb we contacted in our search of the area, we could not have chosen a better place to spend our time in the Bay of Islands. Location was fabulous both for the location and view, as well as for the simple amenities provided. Thanks so much!

For a winter break it really was perfect. Best spot ever. The best part....The people! Friendly, helpful. Kind. Every eatery was great. Op shop for fishing clothes too! Had great fishing with " Buckos" Dont miss it! Will return. Thankyou. BnM

It was a lovely relaxing spot to spend a week in a rural setting with sea views out to the Poor Knights islands. A large property, accessed off a private road so very secluded and peaceful. Handy location half way between Matapouri Bay and Tutukaka, although you do need a car to go anywhere. Kitchen was very well equipped including basic supplies. Access to an indoor swimming pool, ability to charge the EV, and use of the laundry was a bonus. The hosts were very welcoming on arrival and explained the facilities and beach access path. Special touches were a bottle of wine and locally made nut brittle on arrival, and acknowledgement of our wedding anniversary which was during our stay. Annette and Bianca were super helpful and responded promptly to any questions.

The cottage has a gorgeous view - such a treat to wake up to it every morning. Really spacious and ideal for a couple. Short drive away from some amazing beaches. Thank you, Kathy!

Loved our stay! Location was perfect for our stay. Directly across from the Marina where we had activities. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance. And super close to grocery stores as well. The apartment was comfortable and very clean. Thanks for a great stay.

This was such an incredible retreat spot! Very secluded, with one of the most breathtaking views of Te Ngaere Bay! Our favorite part was the open-air option to enjoy cooking & dining inside while being outside. Very clean, modern & incredible espresso machine to enjoy cappuccinos with the epic sunrise! We also found it nice to have your own trail down to the beach & private plunge pool. Be prepared for a climb back up for some good exercise! Worth it… especially when you can take a nice cold (or hot) outdoor shower! Great communication & care from Kas & Rhys- they are awesome hosts!

The pictures don't do this beautiful home justice, it's even better in person. Equipped with everything you would expect and more and wowed by the exceptional views. My only issue was that we couldn't stay longer unfortunately but hope to visit again in the future. Thank you for wonderfully comfortable stay.

We loved our holiday here. It was so relaxing and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The pool was great and we enjoyed the kayaks. Special mention to Michael in reception - so friendly and welcoming and a mine of information on where to go & what to do. Motel is retro style, brings back memories! Excellent beds with quality linen. Nice touches including snacks and juice, as well as thoughtful placement of lamps and artwork creating a lovely ambiance that you don’t often see in motels. Thanks so much - it was a fantastic experience.

Great stay at this beachfront property! The location is unbeatable—just steps from the water, making it easy to enjoy the ocean. The home was clean, well-kept, and had mostly everything needed for a comfortable stay. The beds were especially great—super comfortable for a restful night’s sleep. Check-in was smooth, and the host was responsive and helpful with local recommendations. Overall, a great spot for a beachside getaway. Would definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful time staying at Karl’s beautiful home. And what a home! In the best way possible, it’s like staying in an amazing museum as well as being very comfortable and very clean. Karl was fantastic to deal with. We left a jacket behind by mistake and Karl immediately notified us of this and arranged to have it couriered (so sorry for the inconvenience Karl but thank you for being so kind!). The last thing I’ll say is the house has prime location - the sunsets we experienced were something life changing! Great place and would highly recommend.

Blown away by location and beautifully presented home, complete with all the bells and whisltes. Loved that we had access to plenty of beach toys, games and books. Did not need a thing. Felt right at home after travelling 800kms. Perfect size for a big whanau who love the beach. The sunrises and sunsets are stunning.

Lovely place to stay. Very well equipped. Great for family group of 3 generations. Great views from all rooms and always something happening on estuary. Pool table, spa , pizza oven and kayaks provided great variety of options. Highly recommend

The apartment was brilliant, the location one street up from the beach so good. the unit had everything, coffee machines, hot plate , huge microwave convection oven and all the usual suspects. loads of parking on the grass verge, and beautiful view. Linen was good, a million pillows and blankets and even beach towels. games etc Our only tiny gripes were it looked at little bigger in the photos, with beds etc suitable for six except it didn't have dining or lounge seating for 6. We borrowed a chair from family nearby and worked it out but it was quite small, and there was only three staying and the dogs. So just a note if you are six people, it is quite small space. Dog friendly but it would have been nice to have a small out door area fenced so we could have let the girls (doggos) out to pee on their own, but this wasn't a problem really except for the dog with the shy bladder... hahah so thank you so much Linda and Judy for a friendly and great getaway to the far north.

What a pleasant "mishap" that we ended up staying in Opua! We originally intended to stay on the Treaty Grounds, but due to Waitangi Day it was full. I stumbled onto this wonderful waterfront home, and am so glad I did! Opua is the cutest waterfront town - not much in terms of dining or shopping (none!), but we took the ferry to Russell directly from here, and did the lovely Opua/Pahia waterfront walk. Also, a 10 minute drive to Pahia for all kinds of grocery stores and restaurants. We made sure to just spend one evening eating a simple meal on the deck, overlooking the beautiful bay and passing boats. The place is well-stocked, clean, and cute, with a bonus washer/dryer. As others have stated, the driveway is tricky but not un-doable. And there are many steps up to the front door. Didn't take away from our wonderful stay here, ON the water!!! Loved it!

Lovely place to spend a few days with some old friends. Location was amazing, just a short walk over the dunes to the beautiful beach. Pool table, table tennis table and large decks with a BBQ on one were great to have.Looking forward to coming back to stay
