Her stand alone house is perched the. End of a lane with patio and pool deck with multiple seating options. The house faces west to enjoy the sunshine all day! 3 levels inside with kitchen on lowest level with wood burning stove. Everything to prepare meals. Entry floor is living space and electric fireplace. Bathing also located in entry level. Top level with bedroom and smaller bedroom with daybed. A very unique and one of a kind experience. Definitely with visiting and living like a local! All restaurants were hosted by warm people with wonderful homemade foods.

Sentimo-nos em casa, é um espaço muito agradável para estar com família ou amigos. Cozinha bem equipa, churrasco, mesa no alpendre para refeições de verão, espaço da piscina muito bom. Fomos muito bem recebidos e tudo correspondeu às nossas expectativas.

Escolhemos o alojamento da Hanna por ter as condições necessárias para um encontro familiar, éramos 14 pessoas e tivemos um fim de semana maravilhoso. A comunicação foi excelente , sempre disponíveis e atenciosos. O espaço corresponde ao apresentado no anúncio e a limpeza 5 estrelas. Wonderful hosting for my family!!! Joanne and Paul had like a family for us in the two months that we have stayed in their cozy and super functional home. The house is equipped with everything you need and much more. Availability of Joanne and Paul are excellent even in the middle of the night when my son had fever she hop by with local hony and tea that I asked if she have by chance, such a kindness that warm our hearts. Also, Joanne let us know all the carnavls and local attractions in the same month. The villa is new and all the amenities are perfect, even a central heating system that kept us warm in the cold nights. A wonderful pool and organized garden that the kids can play around. The villa located in a village with all the things you need, small grocery store, Butcher, playground and 10 minutes from Arganil. Great location with lots of trail roots to nature a step from the door and beautiful rural sunsets.

We stayed for 4 nights at this peaceful and secluded farmhouse, visiting friends in neighbouring Castelo Branco. Rogério was there to meet us after an 8 hour drive from Southern Spain with a welcoming drink and home made pastries and he spent 45 minutes explaining about the location and its history; he really is super friendly. The house truly is a home from home filled with his treasures, games and even a keyboard. As mentioned in other reviews the dog did bark constantly but Rogerio had already flagged this and offered to move him. we used the house only as a base however and he did not unduly bother us. It was a great stay and we made full use of the wood burning fire which kept the house cosy and warm however it did smoke a bit leaving everything we owned with a memorable dour of woodsmoke. It’s great value and our friends who live in the area visited one evening and fell in love with its rustic charm, they are going to book a couple of nights for themselves in the summer.

I could not recommended more this place in warmer seasons! A beautiful house, with a breathtaking view, amazing garden and well equipped kitchen. The surroundings, amazing too, very quiet and beautiful. Ideal for anyone who wants to relax and enjoy nature. The host was very friendly and responsive. However, the heating, even with a fire place, was not effective and the house was very cold, specially in the bedrooms. If the heating is not improved, I will not go back in winter. But in Spring-Summer, this is a place to go!

Nota-se que os anfitriões pensaram bastante neste alojamento e que meteram uma grande quantidade de amor nos detalhes. Desde o pão e pasteis de nata com que fomos recebidos, comunicação rápida e amigável. Existem alguns trilhos para se fazer (fizemos 2) e ainda visitamos as fragas de são simão que recomendamos. A casa em si com aquecimento de piso radiante mesmo no inverno é muito confortável. Viajávamos com um bebe de 1 ano e foi um sitio ideal para relaxar.

Eugene was an amazing host, having helped my family get to the accomodation without any problems and always being in touch whenever it was needed and the language barrier wasn't ever an issue as Eugene was able to understand portuguese. Unfortunately due to work I wasn't able to meet such a great human being that made sure to ask how I was to my family, but I can assure that if the opportunity presents itself I wouldn't hesitate to book again and meet him. From my family's description I could say the house is bigger than it looks on the photos, being a great space for some peace and quiet rural family vacations! I reccommend Eugene's listing as a great option if you are looking for a cheap, quiet and family-oriented house.

Our thanks to the wonderful hosts Alice & Christian This cosy and charming house is located in the Beira Baixa region, nestled in the hills of rural Portugal. All amenities were faultless and immaculate enabling us to enjoy our stay here very much. Whilst the area is lesser known for tourism it offers a glimpse of the tranquility that pervades life here. The surrounding villages and exploration offer a lot to enjoy if you appreciate nature, a relaxed pace of life and space. The house is also close to the beautiful Rio Zêzere. Recommend this property, place and hosts.

it's located in a very quiet village, nice views, friendly host and neighbours. we came during winter and it was really good but we assume it's even better during the summer.
