Papigoe : locations de vacances

We had a great stay over New Year at the Crab Shack. You couldn't be closer to the water. Two huge lounge area with wood burners. All rooms had their own bathrooms. Main bedroom was fantastic. Beautiful views out to sea. We will come back in the summer months to see what the area is like in warmer times.

We had a lovely 3 night stay in Alexa’s cottage. The property is in a great location if you wish to travel further north, it took us less than an hour to get to John O’Groats. There is a walk to the small pebble beach 5 minutes from the cottage. The cottage is by a river which is lovely to listen to at night. Our dog enjoyed the walks nearby. The cottage stays warm and the rain shower js lovely! The living room is small and cosy, with plenty of firewood. The kitchen is stocked with all cutlery and dishes. I would say bring your own tea bags/coffee if you have more than 1 cup a day. Also bring your own shower gel, something we forgot! The hosts are helpful and responsive. Everyone we met nearby were all were kind and friendly people. All in all, a lovely place to stay. I’d recommend it to anyone wanting to visit that area.

If I could have given 6 out of 5 stars I would have. Loved this place and will be back. The upstairs bedroom with the bath was special. Top host too. Great communication. Couldn’t fault the experience. Thanks for having us

Beautiful house with a cosy and warm decor. Perfect for a weekend getaway. Stayed here for a night with friends while doing the NC500, would highly recommend.

Only issue we had was, that we didn’t stay long enough!! We will be returning and staying for much longer!! The cabin was warm, clean, had everything we needed, the bed was comfy, hot tub was nice and hot! View was outstanding! We also loved how private it was. One of our favourite places we have stopped this year!

We had a lovely stay at Avril’s place. It was very clean and comfy. The rooms were large with plenty of space. The kitchen had everything we needed and we were so grateful for the welcome hamper that was waiting for us. Really enjoyed the cozy fire on a chilly night! It’s a lovely walk to the beach and there were so many interesting things to see and do close by. We particularly enjoyed the lovely walk to St Mary’s Chapel which was not far away.

Me and my partner spent Christmas at the cottage this year, with our 3 dogs, it couldn’t have been more perfect! We had absolutely everything we needed, there were games, books, comfy sofas, fast WiFi, towels, shower gel, shampoo & conditioner. Not to mention the folder full of leaflets & info for recommendations for different walks and places to eat. The king bed was so comfortable, the shower was amazing and the kitchen has all the utensils and amenities you’d need. The local area was beautiful, the beach and the loch especially, and the shops at a stones throw distance away was super convenient, we stayed for 3 nights and didn’t need to use our car once while we were there! Overall the cottage was cosy, clean, warm, well thought out and peaceful. We will 100% be booking to stay again! Oh and if you do stay make sure you try the Chinese in the village, it was divine! Set in an amazing location just off the main road, although we couldn't hear the noise of the traffic at all. Very picturesque surroundings and perfect spot for watching the sun rise while relaxing in the hot tub. Spacious cabin and very well furnished. The place was spotless and had everything we needed. We had 2 pizzas delivered which were 10/10.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had everything we needed and felt at home. The whole house was very clean and tidy. It was cosy and warm. To the extent we had to switch the longe radiator off! It was a truly enjoyable stay. Thank you very much.
