We spent one week in the beautiful old mill with 2 families. The house is beautiful and the river and surrounding nature was excellent for the kids (15, 13, 10, 9, 8) to fish, play in the water, build a hut, read in the hammock and more. There is much to see and do in and from Arcos de Valdevez, such waterfalls and walks in the National Park and cultural visits to Braga, Guimaraes, Porto etc. Communication with Mariana and Rui was easy. We very much enjoyed our stay!

Literal paradise. We genuinely had a magical time at Margarida & José's house. The house itself is stunning. A beautifully & lovingly restored old farm buildings with a gorgeous dappled shaded courtyard. The garden is magnificent with amazing flowers & extremely well manicured. It also has every possible thing a family could need to entertain themselves... you honestly don't need to leave. The pool is large & they take such care to maintain it's cleanliness (it's also non-chlorinated so was great for the kids skin). The shaded area provides a perfect place for kids to play out of the sun - with sandpit, water trough & trampoline. Endless toys to facilitate this. Other entertainment such as table tennis, badminton, football, mini pool table & mini golf kept everyone busy. And then the views from the property are breath-taking across the valley, to gaze on throughout the day or at sunset with a drink at night. Margarida & José are so lovely, helpful & the perfects hosts. Thank you!!

Une merveille 🤩 La maison est une pépite et encore plus belle en vrai que sur les photos. La literie est de bonne qualité et la douche est juste mémorable. Nous avons adoré et nous garderons un très bon souvenir de notre séjour. PS: leur chien est adorable, très gentil et c'était un plaisir de le croiser à chaque fois ! 😀🐶

Nos hemos sentido muy bien atendidos x Edgar, que en este caso era la persona responsable de la casa. Fue muy amable y nos dejó todo perfectamente ordenado, limpio y con indicaciones para hacer rutas y paseos. La casa es un encanto...y la chimenea calienta a las mil maravillas! MUY recomendable!!

Casa De Naceiros is an ideal place for families and small groups who are looking for a quiet and comfortable place in the area. It has easy access to highways to reach Porto, Braga, Galicia, etc in very little time. Ponte de Lima is only 10 minutes away, with a gorgeous old town and beautiful river. The house is very comfortable on a single floor and the host extremely responsive. We highly recommend it.

A Casa Ana Rosa está muito bem localizada, a meio caminho dos Arcos de Valdevez - perto de Vilela (um óptimo ponto de entrada da ecovia) e do Sistelo. Possibilita por isso uma rápida deslocação a qualquer destes destinos. A casa, de traça típica da região, oferece as comodidades necessárias para uma familia grande (como foi o nosso caso), com uma boa zona de estar e refeições (com os utensílios e electrodomésticos necessários) e um piso com bons 5 quartos. Tem um amplo espaço exterior, com alpendre, jardim, piscina. Optamos por incluir o serviço de pequeno-almoço, sempre muito bem servido, o que facilitou imenso. A Maria João Rodrigues está sempre atenta e preocupada em que nada falte, aliando assim da melhor forma a simpatia à disponibilidade. Passamos uns fantásticos cinco dias em fim de semana grande, ficando em todos a vontade de repetir a experiência.

Nota 10/10. Tudo muito bom...casa muito bem equipada....tem tudo! A simpatia da Margarida supera qualquer apontamento que tivesse que fazer. Muito obrigado!

Casa lindíssima, com todos os equipamentos necessários. Despertar com o som do rio, caminhadas em paisagens incríveis e leituras no terraço ensolarado. Estadia que permite recarregar as baterias e aproveitar da naturaleza. Adorei.

Accueil chaleureux de Maria et ses proches qui a su nous mettre tout de suite à l’aise. C’est un plaisir d’avoir résider dans leurs si belle maison. N’hésitez plus ! Maria n’hésite pas à nous conseiller et répondre à nos messages lorsque que nous cherchions des informations sur braga. Maison propre, bien équipé, grande pour accueillir largement 10 voyageurs. Nous nous sommes sentis comme à la maison et ne manquerons pas de revenir lors d’un prochain séjour.

It was amazing!! Such a beautiful home, and so close to the beach. The house is absolutely amazing, real luxury and the hosts were wonderful, we had easy and flexible check in and out. We were four women there for a watersports holiday but I would also come back with my kids. Highly recommend!

Fantastic accommodation. Beautiful gardens, pool and house. Marcus is a very good host, and looked after us so well - bringing us little gifts like fresh orange juice just made the experience so much better. One of our children really wanted to keep a huge lemon he’d found in the garden but we told him he would have to ask. Instead of just saying no, or yes, Marcus said “sure, but why don’t we make some lemonade together!”. Just so thoughtful and kind. The house is very well equipped and beautifully furnished. Lots of attention to detail. Pool is very large and everything is perfectly clean. Marcus and Rick really did go out of their way to ensure our stay was successful without ever being intrusive, so please don’t hesitate to book!

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour avec ma famille et amis au sein de cette magnifique maison. Le beau temps au rendez-vous, la grande piscine, la propreté et commerces a proximité font que ce lieu a tout a disposition ainsi que la gentillesse de madame Teresa Costa qui nous a très bien accueilli, très souriante et a disposition pour quoi que ce soit. Nous remercions encore Madame Teresa pour tout et lui disons à bientôt pour une prochaine réservation.

we were a group of 10 people and spent the weekend during the famous Sra D'Agonia festivities. The house is extremely comfortable, the staff very helpful. it was amazing to be so close to the center of Viana to enjoy several events but also have a base where we could enjoy time in the pool, cook, and eat as a group of friends. the piano was a very nice plus. an element of our group plays and it felt so much more intimate to be able to enjoy him playing for us.

Awesome location. Very spacious, river is just next to the house. Big pool. A lot of extra services you can get. For ex renting sups and rafting down the river is a must!

Great place to stay with family and friends. Beautifully decorated with original Portuguese objects, this old house has a interesting history and soul. Additionally, you have at your disposal the modern swimming pool, tennis court and very well maintained park. Perfect option to chill out and discover beautiful region of Northern Portugal.

a lovely stay at the villa, and lovely hosts who were kind and helpful with everything. incredible views of the valley. heat works great, wood-burning fireplace sealed the deal. some things to note: -apartment/casita among other apartments on 1 villa property - so it is a shared villa not a villa all to yourself (though i had it all to myself on this lovely april stay) -church bells nextdoor go all day from 7a-9pm, every quarter or half hour -the location is inland near Geres ntl park, not coastal (if you dont know the area, it seems the region is viana do castelo but there is also the town of viana which is coastal) -sparse / small kitchen good for light cooking -mattress and pillows could be upgraded, felt too soft and lumpy, respectively -nice work desk too

A beautiful house with peaceful surroundings. The family enjoyed the swimming pool, the table tennis and the walk to the river. There is everything in the house that is needed for a relaxing holiday. The kayak trip (organised by Ana) from the house to the town is really fun and worth doing. The guide is excellent and we learnt a lot about the history of the area. We visited Bom Jesus do Monte at Brage, about 35 minutes drive and Pena Adventure, just over an hours drive away. They have a zip wire from the top of the mountain and an alpine coaster, plus lots of other activities for adults and children. Some need booking early. We had a fun holiday and would recommend the house and the area. Thank you Ralf and Ana

We loved our stay. A beautiful, quiet, spacious house with a lovely private pool area. Yes there are a couple of steps to get up to the pool but nothing too hard and so worth it. The view from the pool was unbelievable. Our host Fatima was incredibly kind and so responsive to any questions we had. We didn’t have a hire car and Fatima kindly drove us to the supermarket a couple of times and even dropped myself and my partner off to the train station when we left. My suitcase was lost and I only had 1 outfit for 2 days until it arrived, Fatima gave me some washing machine detergent to wash my clothes. So kind and generous. The house was lovely, spacious, clean and private. The photos do not do the property justice, it was really beautiful. It was really warm outside and we barely used the air con as the house was pretty cool anyway.

Cette maison est exceptionnelle, Fatima et Éloi sont des hôtes formidables également. Maison impeccable , très grande , emplacement et vue magnifique . La piscine est parfaite et on peut profiter de l'environnement et du paysage à tout moment. La maison est très bien équipée, confort +++. Accueil exceptionnel et chaleureux : plateaux de fruits , fromage, charcuterie et gateau traditionnel, jus d'orange frais. Fatima nous transmets également des informations sur mes événements locaux. la région est magnifique , la Galice est toute proche également. Je recommande vraiment la maison de Fatima et Eloi, notre séjour en famille était formidable .

Our stay at this villa was nothing short of amazing! It was the perfect getaway for my family, including my husband, mother, and our three children (7 months, 8 years, and 12 years old). The highlight of our stay was definitely the pool, where the kids spent countless hours every day. One of the most unique and fascinating aspects was how the locals would quickly clear up cloudy weather, ensuring the sun returned to ripen the grapes. It was truly an unforgettable experience! 😍 The villa itself was well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. When we encountered a car battery issue, the owner immediately went to the store to purchase a new one for us. He was incredibly attentive and quick to respond whenever we needed anything. In just two weeks, we made memories that will last a lifetime. I highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation.

Tout simplement parfait ! Nous avons adoré notre séjour. La maison est magnifique, spacieuse, confortable, bien équipée, dotée d’une très grande cuisine extérieure. La piscine également est une merveille, toujours maintenue propre avec une température agréable. Un très beau jardin très ressourçant. Un grand merci aux merveilleux propriétaires très accueillant et d’une grande gentillesse, toujours à l’écoute et soucieux de notre bien être. Il peut y avoir au départ de l’appréhension de devoir partager certains espaces communs mais au contraire, les propriétaires ont réussi à nous faire sentir chez nous et nous avons aimé nos échanges. Nous avons créé de beaux souvenirs en vôtre compagnie et nous vous en remercions. Une très belle rencontre et un séjour exceptionnel. Nous recommandons sans hésitation et il est certain que nous reviendrons également. Encore un grand merci Roma !

Une grande maison avec des jolis meubles anciens dans certaines pièces, idéale pour un séjour en famille ou entre amis. Il y a tout le nécessaire pour passer un séjour agréable. Ce qui m'a le plus impressionné est le jardin avec sa vigne de plus de 100 ans et ses arbres exotiques (citronnier, oranger, mandarinnier et aussi un arbre que je ne connaissais pas encore "l'arbre à tomates" (tamarillo). Le jardin est entièrement clos ce qui est formidable si vous voyagez avec un chien. Elsa est très sympathique et bien que je ne parle pas portugais, la communication s'est très bien déroulée. Le quartier est calme et avec de jolies maisons.
