David and Wendy’s place provides a peaceful vibe that we really enjoyed. We especially love the fireplace in the living room and David provides enough log woods and fire starters to help us get started. They also provide enough food for breakfast, a nice new bbq, and snowshoes and hiking sticks for their guests. At 7pm the deers will come for their evening feed. It is such a unique experience for a get away trip! Will definitely visit again

We totally loved the experience. Awesome to get away from city life and enjoy a true simple living (and everything that comes with it -- wood stove, outhouse, bringing and heating water for all your needs, etc.) Would love to enjoy it again and recommend to everyone who understands this style of vacation/recreation. Very nice cabin in a peaceful and quiet treed area. A small river on the property just steps away. The place and the area still offer a good deal of civilized life for those who do not want to disconnect completely: neighbouring properties are not that far away, there's relatively short drive to the highway, electric lighting and a socket in the kitchen). So it's a very good balance overall. Carine was a wonderful host. Unintrusive but always there for our questions/needs. Thank you so much, Carine!

Lyn and Peter were amazing hosts for our family of 4 (two adults plus two kids, ages 9&6.) Lyn greeted us at check-in, but gave us privacy after that, and was super quick to respond to texts on the rare occasion we had a question. The boathouse was as described with even more amenities than listed and more spacious and beautiful than the pictures could do justice. The place is immaculate with careful thought and detail into every little decoration and little touches (e.g. a basket in the bedroom with bug spray, package toothbrush, etc. for any forgotten items.) We felt completely at home in the boathouse and enjoyed the beautiful views from the upstairs deck and dock, where we spent the majority of our time. We all loved taking out the SUPs that were there for our use and it was a quick drive into town to visit Don’s Bakery (IYKYK), Splash Island, and the ski show on Tuesday night. Highly recommend the boathouse for your next Muskoka stay! Lyn’s hospitality is 10/10.

Peaceful, gorgeous & unique location. Enjoyed our sunset walk on the “ghost trail” and on surrounding country roads. Comfortable, cozy stay with everything we needed. Enjoyed meeting our canine hosts as well :)

Beautiful cottage, kept very clean. There is plenty of space for 8 people. Great front yard view, very peaceful and beautiful surroundings. Our group loved staying here. The host was very responsive and provided all the information required. would certainly recommend this place.

This is a very special place offering a unique experience. Maybe not for everyone but for those loving to be close to nature. We kayaked and used the fire place. The cozy cabin was indeed cosy. We loved it.

Really lovely getaway. Everything was super clean and well taken care of. Kitchen has more than basics - some appliances we don’t even have at home. Was really easy to settle in and live here for an extended time. Hosts were both super nice and responsive. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Place was so cute and quaint! Exactly what we were looking for for a quiet weekend away. Very clean and lots of supplies and host was very easy to communicate with! will be back :)

First off, the place was amazing! It was everything i imagined, peaceful and quiet with a beautiful scenery. The cottage that we stayed in was just the perfect size for my small family of 3 and the dock for my boat was just outside! The private boat launch was a great bonus for me. Danielle was very responsive to my inquiries and very easy to talk to. Visited the local lake house restaurant and had a great time with great food. Totally recommend place and will definitely come back in the summer!
