Alison’s place was perfect for two young families. Incredible location, so central to the shops and an easy stroll to the estuary. The house is really well equipped. A fabulous stay of five days - made even better by a spell of great weather and wall to wall sunshine. Beautiful and varied beaches all nearby, from Waipu through to Te Arai. Accommodation layout perfect for family, children and grandparents allowing a bit of separation. Peaceful & private location. Well equipped. Lovely high ceiling living space with excellent indoor/outdoor area. Minor access issue caused by 3 year old swiftly fixed by Sarah with the minimum of fuss, for which we were very grateful.

We enjoyed our stay, we found it very comfortable for a group of friends with young families. The house is set up really well in a beautiful setting and the spa pool is an added bonus! Stephens communication and instructions were great. Highly recommend others to stay!

My partner, his children, and I had a fantastic stay at McLeod Bay. Although we encountered an unavoidable and unexpected hiccup at the start, Rachyl and Mandy were incredibly responsive and helpful, ensuring everything was swiftly sorted. The house was spotlessly clean and thoughtfully stocked with extra treats for us all. We were pleasantly surprised by the many additional amenities, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The peaceful surroundings and the spa were the perfect way to unwind after a long beach walk. I highly recommend McLeod Bay Executive Homestay and will definitely be returning. Thank you so much! 😊

We almost don’t want to give away too much because we loved our stay so much and don’t want to see it booked out so we can make sure we can come back!!What absolutely sensational spot this is, right from the start when we walked into the lovely ambience of jazz music we were greeted with spectacular views all round the house. The space was so groovy and cosy and we felt right at home, Karl was fantastic in being responsive whenever we had any issues. We loved all the different places to sit and take in the views and each one was so comfortable!! We had gorgeous warm and private swims in the water by the house in the evenings and felt like we were in a tropical landscape when we sat down to dinner at the outdoor table watching the sunset. Karl left some beer and wine which we enjoyed in the spa at golden hour listening to what looked like a set up playlist with great songs on the usb connected to the stereo! Honestley could not have loved this place more, we will be back!!

We had an amazing time during our stay! The surroundings were absolutely stunning, making it the perfect escape. It’s truly a fantastic spot for larger groups looking to create unforgettable memories together.

We loved the quiet and epic view of the location. It was also in a great central to our day-trips in the area. The description had great accommodations listed and it over-delivered on experience.

Five adults and six children had a wonderful weekend in Mangawhai, using Carolynn's house as our base. There was plenty of space for everyone to find their own corner, both inside and out. The kitchen was big enough for several cooks to work in at once and the dining table was big enough for us to all sit around so mealtimes were a treat, not a chore. Amazing view to the east, including sunrise across water and moonscape sand dunes. The spa at the end of the day was a special treat for our family, as was the large TV screen in the lounge. We missed a few books and board games but everything else was in good supply. Thank you for a special long weekend with my family Carolynn.

I cannot say enough about how beautiful Gill's home is. The surroundings are so beautiful, short drive into town where you can find everything your looking for. Gill is such a wonderful and kind host, if you have a chance to visit her home, you will not be disappointed. Thank you for making my son's wedding so special, so lucky to have met such a amazing woman.

The place is amazing, very large living area with many very clean and decently spaced rooms. I wasn’t aware of the 5-10 minute gravel road the house is on. Daniel was amazing at communicating when I need to get in touch with him however the packing up procedure could have been outlined better, but other than that the four informative emails sent outlined everything needed for our stay. The view is just as amazing in person as the photos both sunrise and sunset, especially lounging in the spa.

A wonderful place for a staycation. Beautiful ambience and perfect for group of families. Loved it. Looking forward to come back again.

What an amazing little get away. So picturesque, quiet and simple. Amazing views and rustic living just what the soul needs. From soaking in the hot tub under the stars listening to the Moore pork and kiwi to lounging on the deck during the day this place was luxury to us. Not too far from some of northlands amazing coastline. Would certainly recommend.

We had a lovely stay here at the cabins. The surroundings are stunning. We took our little dog and he had the time of his life. The cabins are very cute and the bed is comfortable. If you’re looking for something a little bit different with a great view of trees and nature then this is your place. Thanks Carol x

We loved our 3 night stay at Linda's place, great location, spotlessly clean and homely. The beds are very comfortable and the home is well equipped. Linda was a great host !

Sheryl and Ian were very warm and friendly hosts with good recommendations for local coffee and places of interest. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and loved the cute cabin details, books and artwork. The outdoor kitchen was adequate for cooking meals and the spa added a nice touch of relaxing luxury.
