Ive stayed at this wonderful home many times so I knew it was a treasure. However, the newest owner Gretchen really made this place even better. Clean, cozy, it has everything you need for a perfect moutain getaway. All the little touches and welcoming treats were greatly appreciated and enjoyed. Can't wait to return!

Kristen is a great host! Her cabin was super clean, and nicely decorated. Kristen was super friendly and helpful as this was our first time in the area. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend the cabin!

This place was wonderful! The air bnb is a very beautiful, unique and fun historical home! Janeen was very accommodating and very responsive! The air bnb is stocked with everything you could possibly need! The back porch over looking the river was my favorite spot! Very peaceful and serene! I loved this place and would definitely stay again.

I had the most wonderful stay at Bliss Cabin, to say the least. From the initial photos of the writing desk and yoga deck, to the curious graveled path winding around the property lined with life and decorative details, I was totally immersed in the love and care that was so palpably present! Kathryn & Luke were absolutely lovely, so helpful, and incredibly accommodating! My recommendations while on the property: build and tend to a fire. Journal at the writing desk while playing Miles Davis. Take an early cold plunge in the river, do a round of Wim Hof breathing, then run up to take a hot shower at their beautiful abode. Chat with Luke, have tea with Kathryn. Do yoga on the deck. Say hello to the frogs. Express your inner musician with their drums and sound bowls. Let your soul free here!

The Empty Nest was a peaceful escape for our family of 8. Plenty of open space around the home, a spacious in the living room for family games, and a well-equipped kitchen that met our needs. The hot tub and fire pit are excellent amenities to the home. The host was very responsive to our questions and needs! I highly recommend this stay.

Unbelievable stay for couples to step away from every day routines into this beautiful paradise in the mountains of Roanoke truly a blessing to have the opportunity and what wonderful people to host their property, my Mexican wife actually was able to order Uber eats, lol even that was so delightful with everything arriving warm and ready. We both were pleased with this beautiful paradise. Host provided great accommodations such has fresh eggs, water, coffee, and really anything needed. We didn’t even have to leave this cabin.

Great place to stay, to get away from the busy world

Skywatch cabin was a fantastic getaway. It was clean and very well stocked from bathroom to kitchen. If you forgot something chances are it was at the cabin. Magnificent views of mountains and water. We were lucky enough to see a beautiful sky when the sun was going down and sun shining a beautiful orange on the mountain at sunrise. Will most definitely return. Thank you Sharon for a great experience.

This was a trip I got for my parents (in their 50s) and they had a wonderful time despite the weather being less than ideal (super rainy). When they got home they were happy and excited to share the adventure. Even went as far as to say they saw a glimpse of what their retirement could look like. So, I highly recommend as a gift to someone who enjoys the peace and serenity of the outdoors with someone they love (or go with you and your loved one if you enjoy that stuff as well)

We had such a wonderful stay! It was the perfect location for those bucket list hikes. Nice and secluded and peaceful but not too far out of the way to still enjoy the local restaurants. We loved reading and enjoying lunch and coffee in the solarium out back too. Everything was perfect and we can’t wait to book again!

We had a wonderful stay at Sarah’s cabin. The space was clean and comfortable, and the views of the surrounding property were beautiful. Sarah went out of her way to make us feel both welcome and at home. In fact, she left us breakfast supplies, including fresh eggs and homemade muffins! (She even left us supples to make s’mores!) The location was super convenient for us to visit the Virginia Safari Park and the Natural Bridge State Park as well.

The view from the porch is absolutely beautiful. We loved the covered porch so very much easy access to the highway. I would stay again and hope to.

Such a special place to stay! The cabin is wonderfully cozy and homey, with windows open we could hear birdsong every morning and gentle rains at night. Kitchen is well suited for lots of cooking, and the array of books and games was impressive. We loved hiking in the surrounding areas, and equally enjoyed being able to rest here in the evenings. Highly recommend :)

The house is clean and comfortable, combining the off-the-grid feel of a peaceful cabin in the woods with all the comforts of modern life. A great home-away-from-home while we explored the history, natural beauty and good food that central Virginia has to offer. We especially enjoyed exploring the trail from the cabin down to the Rockfish River.

Great place to get away and enjoy nature while having modern comforts! This place exceeded my expectations. Loved the holiday decorations and the personal touches that made it feel like home. Notes: They have a hard water softener, which makes the water taste metallic, so bring bottled water or a water filter. Also, it is secluded from major stores, so be sure to bring all your supplies with you.

Amazing and YES, cozy but not small country cottage! Beautiful Natural and well kept outdoors. Many sitting and dinning areas. inside provided tremendous light, many windows, Amazing space and separation of sleeping areas and very private bath. Kitchen perfectly laid out with much space for multiple cooks. Clean, private, quite and indoor bug free environment. Two perfect fire pits; one secluded for privacy and another perfect for gatherings. Perfect ambience. We felt we were home away from home. We had last minute request and Michelle was flexible, accommodating and went beyond host duties to fulfill our unusual needs. We will definitely return for another country cozy get away. Check in/out instructions were clear and minimal. Thank you for an amazing getaway! Look for us to return. We will definitely tell our friends!

The cabin was absolutely beautiful my fiancé and I had such a peaceful stay. Unfortunately the property did flood but Stephen made sure to stop by to make sure we were doing alright and made sure to let us know when roads were safe to drive again. We plan to have more trips hopefully when the weather lets up.

This is a great, cozy cabin on a fertile, beautiful piece of land! We loved the decor and quietness of the property! Thank you - highly recommend :)

What a beautiful view of the Tye River from our porch! We wanted to experience a mountain snow weekend and that’s exactly what we got. Jerry was also able to accommodate an early check in so we were not driving in inclement weather.

Visiting from Virginia Beach with our daughters, one at JMU and one at Virginia Tech, and with family from PA.  The fall color was gorgeous!  Enjoyed the lantern ghost tour and October illumination of the Natural Bridge. We had lunch at Natty B's Cafe and visited Cave Mountain Lake where we saw lot's of wildlife.  We loved the fire pit and everything about this cabin.  You have done an amazing job creating the perfect weekend get away spot.  Thank you!

Couldn’t recommend enough! A perfect place to disconnect and spend time surrounded by nature and fun loving farm animals. Will be returning for sure!

My friends and I loved staying at the cabin! Kaylauna was the nicest person and so quick to respond. Instructions to get there were great and not an issue at all. Everything was so wonderful with our stay. The cabin was peaceful and a perfect location for hiking. We will for sure be back again!

The host is exceptional. Very responsive and accommodating. We enjoyed the time we spent in this rustic setting. The alpaca's we so gentle and fun to watch. For peaceful getaway this airbnb is perfect.
