We loved staying at the house in Metaline. It was cozy and rustic but also had some nice modern amenities. The dogs loved the big back yard, and we'd love to come back in the spring to take advantage of the river. Highly recommend American Pie down the street, we ate dinner there twice. Thank you!

My fiance and I came for a best friends wedding. And we wish we could have stayed one more day/night and had that day just for ourselves! We have already talked about wanting to rebook for winter or summer! Beautiful location. We enjoyed the nostalgia of CDs and vhs movies! Reminded me of my childhood. We had a wonderful time! Enjoyed a lovely, restful autumn stay at the cabin. The walk around the ponds was especially beautiful with the fall colors. Emily was a very responsive and helpful host. Everything we needed was provided. Would certainly stay again.

We recently stayed at this amazing cabin on the river, and it was an unforgettable experience! The cabin was super clean and well-maintained, with comfy beds that made for a great night's sleep. It was the perfect size for our group of two families, each with four members. Waking up to the sight of the beautiful river just steps away was incredible. We loved starting our mornings with a cup of coffee on the porch, watching the sunrise. The serenity of kayaking on the calm water was unmatched—truly peaceful and rejuvenating. Wildlife was a delightful bonus! Every morning, we were greeted by hummingbirds flitting around and a family of wild turkeys wandering nearby. It felt like we were in our own little nature retreat. We couldn't have asked for a better spot to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors. Highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway!

We had a wonderful stay at the River Cabin. The host was very friendly and quickly responded to questions. The house was a great space for our family with plenty of room for all 10 of us and we appreciated the stocked items for basic needs. The windows overlooking the water were our favorite part. We saw so many kinds of birds and loved watching the mist rise up from the water each morning. It was nice to have the kayaks and paddle boards right there for our use too!

Great place to vacation. The location gives you easy access to Newport and surrounding areas. Easy access to the lake. The house is well equipped and very clean. Enjoyed our stay.

Jim took care of us throughout our stay. He provides a bunch of stuff that you may or may not have if you are traveling. Definitely meets expectations or surpasses them. Very happy with our stay and will look forward to come back whenever necessary.
