Had a great stay at Carols! We loved meeting the horses and Carol’s sweet dog. The home was cozy and perfect for the snowy weekend we stayed. Would love to return!

This was our first time in Maine, definitely worth it! The host was amazing and replied as soon as the message was sent. The house was clean, plenty of entertainment and a lot of places from 5-10 minutes away. I would 100% recommend and be back.

The house was perfect for us. Very clean and organized. Great host always responded in a timely manner. Was only about a 30 to 40 minute drive to Acadia National Park & Bar harbor, depending on traffic it could take longer. If we ever make it back to Maine I would definitely stay at the Higgins Retreat again. Thanks again Richard & Tina.

We loved our stay at Jason’s place! We had 10 total people staying for Labor Day weekend - 7 adults, 3 kids and a dog. We all had plenty of room, the house was gorgeous - especially the kitchen and living room! We used the pool, the lake (kayaks and canoes - lots of life jackets to choose from), the basketball court and were so thankful for the option to rent the pontoon boat! My son had a great time fishing. The neighborhood is very quiet. We also had fun checking out nearby antique shops one morning & going into Bangor one evening for dinner. We will be back!

A nice rustic, peaceful getaway for our crew at the end of a long day. We appreciated the space and the surrounding greenery of Maine!

The farmhouse was very cozy! We appreciated how accommodating Natalia was when we had a change of number of guests. The chickens were so friendly and fresh eggs for breakfast were the top of the cake! Highly recommend staying and if we find ourselves back in the area we will be again! The house was an amazing location! We thoroughly enjoyed the sunrises & sunsets while grilling dinners in the evenings! The house was very clean and Robert was a great host. I mess him to ask if there was an axe on site. He responded that there wasn’t but that he would get firewood for us the next morning. It was so awesome to sit around the fire at night and hear the loons calling. It was very relaxing. We had to travel at least an hour to do the site seeing we wanted to do but we expected that. Overall was great and I’d recommend the house to others!!

I live nearby but had friends visiting from Germany and wanted them to have the "camp" experience. The house is beautiful and very comfortable. My friends loved it as well as being right on the lake. The place was exactly as described and we felt right at home. I'm hoping this place is available whenever we have friends visit because I would definitely book it again.

We had a great stay at Olivia’s place. This home is located in a very peaceful area! Lots of space for guest with multiple cars and the backyard was huge (it rained during our stay so we didn’t get to enjoy much of the backyard). The home is exactly as it’s described, plenty of room for a family with kiddos and some extras! She has a TON of children activities along with infant items such as a crib, rocker, highchair- I think I even spotted some diapers which is very thoughtful. As a fellow Airbnb host I often pick up on little tidbits that most guest wouldn’t, but not in this case. Olivia has been very thoughtful with decorating and amenities. I would highly recommend staying here!

This large, beautiful house offered many bedrooms and bathrooms, as well as an enormous first floor living area. You could easily fit a couple If families in this awesome house. It is quite literally “on campus”, too. We showed my son the university while we were there. Just a great stay in a clean, comfortable home. Thank you!

Beautiful and cozy place. Had a great stay. Since we visited during Fall season, the place was peaceful and full of Fall colors. Acadia national park is nearby and has some great places to visit during leaf peeping time.

Ohhhh my goodness. What a hidden slice of heaven! Yes…there is a 5 mile trek down a bumpy dirt road, but don’t let that deter you, once you pull in the driveway…you’ll understand it was well worth it. The main house and two tiny houses were completely stocked. There wasn’t anything that wasn’t there. Everything was cleaned and well maintained and in great working order. There was plenty of space for our three families to spread out. If you’re looking for a peaceful get away…this is it. We would definitely look into this place again!!!!!!

We were a party of 6 people and had a wonderful stay at the Lakefront cabin in Dedham. We arrived on an evening of a clear sky, did some astro-photography. The dark skies with almost no light pollution was perfect for this. Fall colors were just at their peak in the region, so we would wake up to the most amazing views of the lake. The host provided kayaks with oars, a well-equipped kitchen along with a good collection of spices and seasoning ingredients. The house was also well-stocked with towels, and other daily use necessities. The property is also close to grocery and supplies, so we were able to conveniently obtain food during our stay. Well-maintained house, with good amenities and an excellent host. Thank you Paulina for facilitating a memorable Fall vacation for us.

Chris was very communicative from the beginning. Very peaceful and quiet place. Overall, our experience was amazing. We highly recommend Chris and his place, if you want to have great gateway.

My family had a great time staying here. Very quiet and private and warm during winter storms. Host was quick to plow the snow in the driveway. The ride into town is about 20 minutes and there's a lot of wildlife on the way. We found a lot of antiques at the stores and malls around town. The beds were the most comfortable beds I ever slept in. The sectional couch was very comfortable. We would definitely stay again.

It's a great house with thoughtful touches like snacks, motion-sensitive lights under a kitchen cabinet for navigating at night, and windows blinds that automatically open slowly. The recliner built into the sofa is quite comfortable (I dozed off in it :-). The place is in a quiet neighborhood and conveniently located near the bike path, so I could walk to the university. I could also walk to the nearby grocery store. I would definitely stay here again.

I only have great things to say about our visit- the area was beautiful and peaceful while still close enough to grocery, restaurants, and activities. We felt at home right away with Ryan’s helpful recommendations and he was always available if we had questions or needed anything. We visited Acadia for a couple of days but other than that spent all our time enjoying the beautiful area by swimming, kayaking, fishing, and stargazing. The kitchen was well-equipped for us to cook and enjoy many meals and we were able to grill given the great weather we had. Easily the most attentive hosts I’ve had, thank you Ryan and Sharon for everything! We loved our stay and would definitely come back!

Definitely a wonderful place to stay for a family! We had tons of fun playing, cooking, and relaxing. We shared the space with our friends and their kids and this Airbnb was PERFECT for kiddos. Christina graciously left out toys for the littles, which they loved! This is a primary residence, which is different from my previous airbnb status, but the host was upfront about that and the spaces were still clean and welcoming to guests.

The vacation home was so enjoyable, we left a first ever, entry in your "Guest Book." Located on the water, the home had an outdoor porch which was great for viewing the lake in the early morning hours and stargazing at night. Beautiful dock and beach area with kayaks, all the water toys were available. The interior of the home was well appointed and had everything we needed to make the stay an enjoyable one. Looking forward to returning someday!

Marc's place was an excellent jumping off point for my group heading into Baxter State Park this winter. The house was clean, well equipped, and comfortable despite some chilly outdoor temps. I'd gladly stay again on another trip up to Millinocket/Baxter/Katahdin!
