We walked in and the Christmas tree lights were on and Christmas music was playing. It was lovely. It's a beautiful home and very cozy. Having a bedroom and full bath downstairs makes a difference for many of us (young and older) who may have trouble navigating the stairs to the second floor. This location is nice and quiet yet close to all the essentials. I spoke with Dottie before our stay and she was very nice, helpful, and informative. Thank you again Dottie! The house was an amazing location! We thoroughly enjoyed the sunrises & sunsets while grilling dinners in the evenings! The house was very clean and Robert was a great host. I mess him to ask if there was an axe on site. He responded that there wasn’t but that he would get firewood for us the next morning. It was so awesome to sit around the fire at night and hear the loons calling. It was very relaxing. We had to travel at least an hour to do the site seeing we wanted to do but we expected that. Overall was great and I’d recommend the house to others!!

Chris was very communicative from the beginning. Very peaceful and quiet place. Overall, our experience was amazing. We highly recommend Chris and his place, if you want to have great gateway.

My cousin and I spent a week at holly's house. We made our day trips from there. All the sights were easily and quickly accessible by car from there. Whether in the north, south, east or west of Maine. We enjoyed spending our evenings in a fully equipped house. From check-in to check-out, everything was uncomplicated. We really enjoyed our time there.

Right from the beginning of the booking, the experience was exceptional. Communication was great, house was perfectly set-up, clean and peaceful! All of the amenities, furniture, and furnishings in the home were perfect for a lake house! Little details were thought of by the hosts —even a bouquet of flowers. Highly recommend this space for families who want a peaceful and spread out home for their family but also great spaces to bring everyone together. Truly an exceptional experience in all areas.

We really enjoyed our stay in Maine this week! Arrived in a snow storm on Friday night, lost power after heavy ice/ snow and the generator immediately kicked on. It was nice to have peace of mind while riding out the storm. Cozy space with the fireplace and plenty of options to sit and relax with nice views of the lake. Hosts are very organized and responsive as well. Would definitely recommend!

This place was a great location, we stayed here for a concert at Bangor Waterfront. We loved the amenities and the fire place. The beds were extremely comfortable. Would recommend!!

Just returned from a two nights stay at Robert’s. We both enjoyed our time there very much. Everything was just as described and we had everything we needed during our stay. We were even able to make a few easy meals to save on dining out which was helpful. Robert made some great suggestions on how to make the most of our time in the Boothbay area. We hope to return for another visit during the summer months.

The place was very beautiful. Its a perfect location for stay if you are planning to visit Acadia National Park. The place itself was very clean and well maintained. Kathleen was very helpful and responded quickly to our questions. They also have access to the shore at a 2 min walk which is a good spot to hangout during sunrise and sunset.

I enjoyed a recent 2 night stay at Naomi’s place, and there was much to love about it! While it was definitely a hike to and from Bar Harbor, returning back to the privacy & peacefulness of this property in the evening made it absolutely worth while. Above all we greatly appreciated how clean the unit was upon arrival. The beautiful sunset views and access to kayaks to enjoy the pond were a major plus. The accommodations were exactly what we were looking for, and we’d definitely stay with Naomi again next time we visit the area!

This is a great place to stay, even better than it appears in the photos. It was not just clean, it was immaculate - and for an extremely observant nurse - that was awesome. The unit had easy access with a slight gradient path and only two steps - which was very helpful for us as seniors. The firm bed was very comfortable. Barbara was responsive and thought of everything, including having delicious specialty coffee for us - Thanks. She even had a cooler in the closet for us to use when we went to Acadia National Park. Like I said, she truly thought of everything. If we return to this area of Maine, we would love to stay again. We enjoyed our stay.

We loved our week long stay! The cabin is awesome and location is perfect. We spent time at Bar Harbor and Acadia. The lake is beautiful and so peaceful. John and Maria were great.

Had a great time. The house was clean and orderly. We had easy access to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, they were only 30-40 minutes away. We also enjoyed the very short walk to the water front to enjoy the views and the cool breeze off the water we even saw a lobster boat one evening! Definitely would recommend and stay here again!

Robert’s place is amazing! If you’re looking for a place to feel at home, while away from home, then this is it! My brother & I are here for work & have stayed several different places so far we enjoyed staying with Robert so much, that we booked for another month.

Our stay was lovely, definitely not the time of year to visit this cozy town but was definitely relaxing and peaceful. Check in was super easy and host was very lovely! I would definitely recommend this place in the summertime.

Cute and tidy. Lovely little place. Victoria & Ken have included every imaginable item that will make your stay comfortable. Extremely well supplied kitchen, blankets and fans galore to cover all season use. Beds and furniture are comfortable and well placed. Scenery is fantastic. The only thing I can think of that could use a little bit of attention is there is no walkway- it’s only grass. So mud or icy conditions would be a bit challenging. We HIGHLY recommend this quiet, beautiful location, spotlessly clean, and well cared for place. And the hosts are great!

Kurt and Jackiee were incredibly helpful and friendly. We loved staying at their cozy little cottage that had great views of the nearby lake! Would recommend to others looking to stay in a more secluded area that is still a good distance from Acadia National Park.

Absolute perfect place to get away from everything, while still being close to all that Maine offers. The cabin has everything you could need and then some, and the view and proximity of the lake is breathtaking. Ouda was super helpful and friendly. This is one of the rare airbnb listings where the pictures and description match the reality (and then some because trying to capture what it's like to look at the lake as the sun comes up is impossible). We're already planning on coming back next year, 100% recommended!

We had a great time here! Location was so beautiful and private. We were about 40 minutes from Acadia and were able to get over there every day of our stay. The Airbnb was clean, had extra blankets and sheets, and was so cozy. The shower had plenty of hot water and there were board games in the living room. Deb was very nice and showed us around the Airbnb at check in. We would love to stay here again!

Our family had a lovely stay at the Lupine Cottage. Such a peaceful spot. We enjoyed getting out on the water in the kayaks and sitting out in the Adirondack chairs listening to the loons and barred owls call. Nice central location for exploring Acadia and the mid coast. Thanks Kim & Stacy for the precious memories!

This is a very comfortable and peaceful place to stay and the view is amazing. When you walk into the living room, it feels like you’re right on top of the lake. The lake is really only a few feet away and the neighborhood is definitely walkable. We went for a quiet weekend away but if we had wanted to canoe, kayak, fish, grill or whatever, it seemed like everything was there for us to use. I was very impressed with the host and all the amenities. Robert is very friendly and checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our time on the lake and would definitely recommend staying here. We were talking about coming back again but next time with our kids. Thank you Robert!
