We loved staying here and getting to meet the horses and very friendly cats! The apartment is cozy and clean and we appreciated the bathrobes and breakfast items and country views. Steph kindly helped us meet her beautiful mustangs and told us about the farm, and the cats were incredibly cuddly. A lovely experience!

Carol is a wonderful host and the house was exactly what we needed while we were in town. There was plenty of room for our family and it had amazing amenities Carol is very thoughtful and responsive. She left a wonderful arrangement of snacks, coffee, tea, etc. There were plenty of towels and a fully stocked kitchen with everything you need to cook meals. I would definitely book this house again the next time I come to Kansas.

The place was exactly what my wife and I were looking for - peaceful and relaxing. It is off the beaten path for sure. You are on a farm with cattle, but it is complete tranquility. Very enjoyable. The house itself was extremely comfortable for our stay. We will return.

Stephanie and Doug were great hosts. They helped give us the lay of the land as soon as we got there. Even some tips on hunting spots. We enjoyed our stay and the house was perfect for what we needed.

This place was unexpected in the best way! I travel for work and see a lot of short term rentals. I felt like the first guest to ever stay at this cute little home. Clean as a whistle and well appointed. Quiet with comfy beds and split HVAC units to control the temperature in each room separately. The host was very responsive and check-in was very simple. Great location close to everything in the little small town of Oberlin. I can only hope my travels bring me back through so I can stay again!!

We loved this place. We were so tired from our travels but when we arrived it was such a welcome relief to be able to completely relax in such a welcoming place.

We loved our stay at The Roost. The area was beautiful and peaceful, and it was so clean and cozy. We enjoyed all the little extra touches throughout, as well as the walking paths and outdoor space. We would definitely stay again if we’re ever in the area again.
