We had a lovely stay and worked perfectly for 3 couples and 4 children with plenty of space. Although we did not realise it was an ‘upside down house’ with the living room and kitchen on the first floor. This was a slight problem for us as it meant some of the early rising children ended up waking others when walking around/playing upstairs and it limited our use in the game room in the evening as this was downstairs by the bedrooms and we found noise travelled waking the children. However, all rooms were as seen on the pictures and much larger than expected, outside area was great and we would definitely return.

This was our second stay and, like the first, it didn't disappoint. The views, the Lodge itself and the hot tub all make for a perfect, peaceful weekend retreat. Caroline is a fantastic, friendly and responsive host who communicates quickly.

Chrissie’s place is a lovely, comfortable and cosy little house equipped with everything you’d need for a short break. You can use the facilities on site, or stay in and watch tv if the weather’s not great! There’s even a DVD player and a few DVDs, with the option of borrowing more from the main clubhouse. The location is a little bit out of town, so a car is essential for getting around and as it was out of season, taxis were a bit hard to find. We had great meals at The Bucket of Blood (don’t be put off by the name) and the Terrace bistro, both in Hayle. I would stay here again if I came back to Cornwall.

This property was absolutely stunning. We were delighted as soon as we checked in. High end kitchen appliances. Quality modern furniture. The outside space was incredible. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spotless and the bed linen extremely high quality. I would highly recommend this property. It’s better than the photos and we are now planning to book it again. This is a luxury property but well worth the price. Lots of space and easily accommodated our party of 8. Can’t fault one thing

The house was very homely and really big and there was plenty of space to accommodate our family and we all had our own space. The house was in a great location- close to lots of beaches and walking distance to the local pub. James was very responsive and super helpful. Very good place to stay with a family.

Amazing accommodation, immaculately presented and to a high spec. Well equipped with extras too, from an air fryer to coffee machine, boardgames to smart tvs. Comfortable beds and great shower and bath. Amazing views from the Lodge and veranda. Hot tub just perfect. Hosts couldn't be more friendly and helpful. Great location for Newquay and Perranporth and all beaches in between. And a perfect base for exploring all of Cornwall. Will definitely recommend and look forward to returning.

We’ve just left from our 4 night stay for our Babymoon! We’ve had the best time, throughly enjoyed our time at the Hayloft. Nicola is such a lovely welcoming lady. The accommodation is outstanding, pristine and so homely and everything you need. The grounds are amazing, we loved going to see the chickens and it’s so peaceful around the pond, we had 2 nights at the firepit 1 of the nights we cooked our own jacket potatoes on the open fire. It’s central for visiting many places around Cornwall which we did every day! We can’t wait to return in the future with our baby boy 🩵 Thank you so much Nicola and family xxx

It was a great stay in a lovely place with a beautiful surrounding area. would highly recommend this stay to anyone who wants a little get away.

Super clean, fantastic space. Great location. Dog friendly. Only issue was the boiler in one of the bedrooms for the underfloor heating causing high temperature. Loved the Cornish welcome package. Would definitely recommend.

Robyn was always very quick to respond and answer questions. The house is a typical old Cornish stone cottage, basic but clean and tidy. It is a minute walk to the harbour and all of the restaurants, cafes and pubs nearby. It is located in a traffic free and very quiet area and at the front of the house is a little sheltered sun trap with a table and two chairs, which was a very welcome respite from the near gale out on the beach.

Charming 2 levels townhome in a great location. Very walkable to the train, bus, and main shopping and dining thoroughfare. The permitted parking spot was a real premium. Note that the streets are very narrow in that historic section of Penzance, so drive with extra care. The hosts were communicative and able to arrange for a later check-out for us.

A lovely cottage close to the coastal path. Many beautiful beaches and towns within easy reach; we could explore a lot in just a few days. It's the ideal place if you want to immerse yourself in nature, while being able to access nice pubs/restaurants. Highly recommended!

A lovely cosy home,it had everything we needed for our weeks stay, Bed was lovely & comfy,pillows good,everthing in the kitchen we needed,lovely sea view from windows, Very quiet at night time, Both local pubs were very good too with lovely food,, Brilliant location for some wonderfull coastal walks,would thoroughly recommend Polly & Hugh’s lovely home for a beautifull stay in a gorgeous location!!!

The house is lovely & has everything you need, it’s a real home from home. The garden is beautiful with lots of seating areas & a brilliant BBQ, it’s also ideal for children, you can watch them have a great time on the trampoline or swing while you relax. Lots of lovely beaches within a 30 min drive as well as Porthtowan beach which is a 5 min drive & a very reasonable price for all day parking. We visited Crantock, Holywell, Chapel Porth & Gwithian as well as Porthtowan. Take cash for car parks as there isn’t always a signal to pay by card or phone. Anita makes you feel very welcome & is there if you have any questions about anything. We had a lovely family holiday with 9 of us ranging from 81 to 3 & we all had a great time.

Location was perfect! Easy access to Carbis Bay and a short walk into St Ives. The view was amazing. Lori was fabulous to deal with. Very responsive and flexible.

It is always a pleasure to stay at Matthew's place. In fact so much so it is my go to place to stay when I am in Cornwall and really has become a home from home. I have stayed there more times than I can remember over a lot of years. Hopefully this tells you all you need to know. Matthew & Catherine are simply wonderful hosts and make the stays even better. The house and facilities are constantly evolving and not only is there an EV charger but also a lovely Hot Tub to relax even further in after a day of sampling the area's delights. Absolutely brilliant!!!

We were certainly glad to have had this lovely home to come back to during our rainy visit. Better than a boring hotel.

From the first communication at the pre-booking stage through to our departure after our wonderful stay, Michelle was so friendly, helpful and responsive. The property was spotlessly clean and spacious and the perfect place for our family party of 6 adults and a toddler. The online photos don’t do the house justice. The rooms downstairs have a good flow and the bedrooms are all a decent size. Nice private outside space too. The house is a short walk to the town and its beaches, but is very peaceful and quiet. Nothing was too much trouble for Michelle and her speed of response to my queries was both helpful and comforting, knowing that the house owner was always “on call” had we had any problems - which we didn’t! I can’t fault Michelle or her lovely house and I’d happily recommend Carn Galva House to anyone as a great base in fabulous St Ives. We’ve been visiting the area for many years and this is our best choice of property.

Excellent accommodation. Loved the little garden with the stream at the bottom. Handy for the station and a fabulous pub in the Royal Oak. (Booking is essential for meals). Bathroom was good and bedrooms were very spacious. We loved the dining extension too. One word of warning though. It is very dark walking home at night and a torch is highly recommended. Overall, a very positive stay and already booked for next year! We can thoroughly recommend.

A relatively new house tastefully decorated with a fully equipped kitchen which had plenty of extras to make preparing meals easy. Very comfy beds too. We enjoyed our stay. Thanks Angie. Recommended.

Well maintained house with garden and terrace. Very spacious and can comfortably accommodate seven guests. Kitchen is well equipped and appliances are brand new. We encountered some problems during our stay but Tom has been very responsive and easy to communicate.

The house is lovely and spacious and the garden is an added bonus! The beach is about a 5 minute drive away and close to other attractions e.g. Lands End and Minack Theatre. Louise was quick to respond and also gave us some recommendations on things to do which was very helpful. The closest shop is in Penzance which is about a 20 minute drive away, but we were able to do an online food shop for the day we arrived so it was no problem. Would definitely recommend and would come again.

Our fourth stay at the property and already booked for a fifth later in the year. Five star accommodation that ticks all the boxes and Victoria is an excellent host.
