Our stay at Kristen's Lakefront Paradise was exceptional. Every aspect of our trip exceeded our expectations - making the reservation, communication with Kristen, super easy to check-in, immaculately clean, and so many touches to make the cabin perfect and cozy! The location was ideal for a relaxing getaway. Kristen suggested restaurants and other things to do in close proximity that we enjoyed. There were so many extras that made everyone in the family happy. We loved the view, deck (comfortable furniture), outdoor area, and games. No need to be concerned with toiletries and many other "extras". We absolutely plan to stay here again!

We had an overall 5 star stay here. The house and area itself is quiet and lovely. The hot tub and wood stove made the space very cozy. The views were amazing! Because there wasn’t much boat traffic or many neighbors around, it was very peaceful and quiet (there is probably more noise in the summer). Nearby uptown Roxboro is fun place to walk around visiting shops, bakeries and restaurants, even though it is small. And even though this is a rural area, it’s easy to get groceries. We also appreciated having soap and toilet paper and tons of board games provided. None of the house quirks bothered us, although in the summer months, being asked to limit laundry after lake activities might be more impactful on our enjoyment. We did have less responsiveness from the host than we are used to. None of our communication was a vital part of our comfort/overall enjoyment, but I do think it’s worth mentioning that since I’d be concerned if there had been a more serious issue to correct.

Had a great weekend at the cabin. We have rented a few cabins on hyco lake and this location was probably our favorite. Fishing was fantastic and we found a resturant nearby that was, a little pricy, but amazing steak. It was the closest steak house when you google "steak near me". We spent hours down at the dock house and when inside the cabin, the coffee bar and couch called my name often lol.

great place if you are the outdoors type. beautiful surroundings, lake is right there you can catch fish right off the dock. very secluded, private and plenty of woods. keep in mind it is North Carolina, and it's not flat ground. so there is a lot of hills, but it was a great stay for me. the host is great, and very responsive if you need anything.

Me and my friends booked this place back in February in anticipation of Blue Ridge Rock Festival in September. We really only needed a place to sleep seeing as we would be at the festival for a large portion of the weekend, but after massive storms canceled the last two days of the festival, I was absolutely elated that we were staying on such a cool property with a lake, kayaks, fire pits, and great vibes all around. We arguably had the best day of the whole weekend just hanging out in the house and on the lake. Molly was very responsive and accommodating as soon as I reached out. The listing said 7 people and we had 8 in our party. She said no problem at all and continued to be responsive for any questions we had leading up to the event. I also just wanted to add, not only did everything in the listing come as promised, but there was a TUNED acoustic guitar in the living room ready for use upon arrival. That may be the coolest surprise I've ever found in an Airbnb. A++

We had an amazing stay here on the water. Kids loved it, wife loved it, and I caught plenty of crappie so I can honestly say I loved it as well. Beautiful view, peaceful, quiet, and above all the host was awesome. Side note…what she says in the description about the walk to the lake, believe it. It is steep but it is worth the climb. The rope is a life saver for folks like me (old lol) Go, enjoy your stay and soak up the good old Southern charm….

This place is heaven on earth. Check in was a breeze. The custom log cabin in beautifully appointed; dark wood and amazing lighting and artwork. The personal touches are so beautiful. Everything we needed was there, including in the kitchen. Spotlessly clean inside and out. Sadly I had to work remotely the entire time; internet made that happen seamlessly. The best part for us was the outside. Wraparound deck with a gorgeous view of the lake, with a charcoal grill and firepit. The floating dock was also immaculately clean and has chairs, at least one table, a "tiki bar", and even a little slide into the water for the kiddos if you go in the warm weather. I did yoga at sunrise on the dock, watching the sun come up over the river. Amazing. The hosts respected our privacy and were available for messages and responsive. I can't wait to return. Almost hate writing this review because I want it to be available next time we return. Five stars for sure. You're going to LOVE it!

Our family gathered to celebrate Thanksgiving at Karen’s place. The place was large and accommodating for all fourteen of us. We all enjoyed the beautiful view of the lake, the game room for entertainment, and the immaculate rooms. It was exactly as listed. Beautiful home! We would absolutely recommend this home!
