What a treat it was to stay in the “honeymoon suite” rondawel! Lynette does a fantastic job running the place and took time for a good chat on our arrival, which was great. We had requested dinner and breakfast and enjoyed the most delicious lamb curry! The breakfast was wonderful too! Thanks so much for a 5-star stay, Lynette! 🥰

Excellent halfway spot to stay for the night between JHB and CPT. Secure courtyard to park you car and a friendly and very popular restaurant on the premises which made life very easy. Highly recommended for travelers doing this trip.

An authentic African experience. We felt like a voortrekker nestled on the side of the Orange River, the setting is absolutely beautiful and unique. The home itself is very comfortable and spotless, we watched safely from the living room as the sun came up and the bats had their last frenzy before the light got bright and the birds started chirping. was an amazing way to experience Africa.

This a lovely peaceful place, spotlessly clean and with a nice, safe garden for our dogs to enjoy. There is a pet-friendly restaurant a short walk away or you can call and collect - great food! Anna and Louis were very friendly and eager to make sure our stay was enjoyable. I can highly recommend Farmer's Cottage and will definitely visit again.

Mooifontein Cottage, your home away from home!

Helena cottage is situated just off the highway...yet you still arrive at a peaceful oasis. Restaurants & shops are 25 kms away in Colesberg so take your own. Enjoy the freshly cut lawn and a Braai. Well equipped kitchen. Take your own ground coffee as they do have a French press. Huge fridge for any Karoo lamb you may have bought en route. The bathroom is in the Main bedroom..so all guests will need to remain quiet making their loo visits. You'll meet an amazing Cat ! He's strong. but obedient ..after many cuddles he left when I asked at bedtime. So he won't come in unless invited. I felt safe. Great lighting. A very lovely stop over indeed. The Stars at night!! Breathtaking

This was sent from heaven half way between Cape St Francis and Pretoria. The quality is the stay and the beauty to me is indescribable. The few sheep peeping through the window and the reflection on the water. We will be back again and again. Xxx

What an amazing peaceful stay. You'll love this farm, the hosts, the free roaming black geese and silky bantams, the open spaces and the stunning vegetable garden. Say YES to the home cooked dinner it was really delicious. Oh and you'll love the talented friendly little 4 legged Sky. one night was too short. I'll be back for sure!

A wonderful spot if you are looking for a remote & peaceful but still very comfortable stay. We try and find out of the way spots that showcases the best of the beautiful SA countryside and Lindys place is certainly one of those. The home is very secluded and private with excellent finishings too. If you are an astronomy or star-gazing enthusiast then this is a highly recommended location as the nigh sky is unbelievably awesome here. Literally horizon to horizon...

My husband arrive a few hours before the check in time, but still he was able to get into the room super early! He received a warm welcome from the front desk, and had a super insightful chat with Neville. Very friendly! Thank you for everything!

As all tglhe prior reviews, this place was wonderful. Jacqueline and Jaco were so friendly and accomodating. This was the perfect place for our rest between JHB and CPT. I would recommend this stay for anyone.
