Wow this spot is a real win! It’s the most peaceful place, beautiful patio overlooking the hot tub, fire pit and a massive garden. Amazing walks around the farm and to the dam. Loved the homemade bread, milk and butter waiting for us and going daily to the farm shop was fun. We are booking our next visit soon!

I've stayed at Narina's a number of times and absolutely adore it. It is such a peaceful and stunning location it makes working from home feel like a breeze. Carol, Mike and Narina are also so warm, welcoming, and responsive it feels exactly like home. I will keep coming back here when I am in South Africa.

My wife and I spent a new years here and absolutely loved it! The place was peaceful, the view of the dam was great, and Carla and Andrew were great hosts! Definitely worth a visit!

Wonderful stay at the Newstead farm. The place was exactly as described. Clean and beautiful. Kitchen even stocked with drinks and treats! Seamless check-in and check-out, with Tracy even being able to accommodate a late check-out for us. Definitely recommended for a serene getaway.

Great place, beautiful surroundings, lots to do in the area with great restaurants. We loved the quiet and peaceful surroundings on the farm and off course the two labradors that came to say hallo every day!! The cottage is perfectly equipped with everything you need, even eggs and milk in the fridge! I would highly recommend the place and will go back whenever we get the opportunity.

Angela’s thatched rondavel is gorgeous! We had a lovely two night stay, the shower had great pressure, the bed is very comfy, there is everything you need for simple meals and to have a braai, we had a lovely swim in the pool and absolutely loved the garden. Definitely a hidden gem in Howick.

We absolutely loved our stay! The setting is incredibly peaceful, with breathtaking views of the river and mountains. Whether we were relaxing on the day bed or simply soaking in the natural beauty, every moment felt special. Our children had an amazing time making the fire for the hot tub, chopping wood, and swimming in the river—it was the perfect outdoor adventure for them! The tented camp itself is beautifully designed inside and out, blending comfort with nature effortlessly. This was truly a magical escape, and we can’t wait to come back! Highly recommended.

The Thatched Cottage at Beverley Country Cottages exceeded our expectations. The view was even better than the pictures, and the cottage was comfortable and well appointed. Kate and Ruth and team were friendly hosts, and very responsive in addressing any issues with the house. We liked the peace and quiet of the farm, but appreciated that it was close enough to Howick and the rest of the Midlands. Our kids also had great fun with Kate's dogs, who adopted us while we were there. Would definitely recommend!

We stopped over in Howick for one night. It had everything we needed. The garden is absolutely stunning and peaceful, I managed to do yoga on porch it was so refreshing. Don't let Google images of the house fool you as that picture is very old. The entire property is stunning. The host Emily was very friendly and helpful.

I absolutely loved this place! From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and at home. Sian is an incredible host. She is warm, thoughtful, and genuinely friendly. Every detail of the space was carefully curated, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. I adored everything about my stay, from the charming decor to the peaceful ambiance. I will definitely be returning for another visit!

Idyllic Midlands Country Home - Views for miles!

Our family had a wonderful stay at Jane’s stunning house. The house is situated on a very secure, quiet estate and we truly enjoyed the tranquility. The outdoor entertainment area was a lovely bonus and we could make the most of the beautiful evening weather. Jane’s helper, Precious, was very helpful and made us feel like royalty. The house was pristine and we will certainly be back.

Wow what a wonderful place to stay. The home is truly a home, nice big bedrooms, en suit bathrooms and stunningly done. The garden is amazing and if you into birding you in for a treat. Situation is great, easy acess to town, coffee shop, fabulous butchery and quick drive to lovely eateries. Will definitely be back.

Had a Family get together in and around the weekend of the Midmar Mile. Had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home and felt right at home with helpful staff. I left my camera bag when we checked out. A big shout out to Paula who contacted me and went out of her trouble to very kindly dropped this off with me later that day. Lovely setting, beautifully decorated and extremely functional for family and friends.

The Watering Hole is a beautiful and idyllic property in a magnificent location. The hosts are friendly, accommodating and left personal messages and treats for us to enjoy. We enjoyed our stay immensely and will book there again if needed.
