Nilmini was so helpful, attentive and accomodating! We also really appreciated her attention to details, like bottled water in the fridge, fresh soap, towels and linens, and toilet paper. The caretaker Jagath was also very attentive and gave us lots of space.

Definitely recommend, we stayed for 2 nights. He was a gracious host and provided us with tea and biscuits. The steep climb to reach house was a bit challenging for slightly older group (60 years) but nothing to worry about. He was very helpful, nice and always happy to help.

This was close to paradise and by far the best airbnb we have stayed in around the world. We loved the stylish design of the buildings, filled with art, the well maintained gardens and the beautiful pool which we had all to ourselves for two days. Dinesh, VJ and the rest of the staff were always in attendance with help and thoughtful gestures. Breakfast was delicious and more than we could eat. The bananas and star fruit straight from the tree were delicious. Dinesh arranged taxis and tuk tuks for us and a highlight was a his and hers massage in the spa room. It was a pleasure to meet Barbara, the owner and talk to her about her collection of art and artefacts. The rooms were very spacious with an excellent modern en- suite and tall ceilings. An idyllic two night stay to begin our journey around Sri Lanka and recuperate after a long flight from the UK. Do not hesitate to book at this beautiful oasis....we can't wait to return!

Edgar Mansion is a beautiful place! Cavan, Charles and Reggie the chef and his staff are very good, responsive and provided us a wonderful holiday. We were a group of 10 friends and we all really enjoyed ourselves and recommend Edgar Mansion highly. The fotos on the listing didn't do justice to the place. It is surrounded by lush greenery, with the Mahaweli river and dam nearby. We relaxed in the outdoor seating area next to the pool. Reggie made tasty BBQ food. The rooms were all luxurious.

Great place to stay if you want to be immersed in local life and beautiful surroundings. Very peaceful. It was close to several eateries. I went into Colombo and there were two bus stops within walking distance. It took a bit over an hour to go to Colombo fort via bus or about a 35/45min tuk tuk ride. I didn't mind it being far away. It's very close to the airport. The accommodation is incredibly spacious and comfortable. I especially enjoyed the balcony where I would eat some of my meals.

We enjoyed the house very much! It was such a luxury place with everything we needed and the swimming pool and the gym was nice one too! I would recommend this house to anyone for sure!

Pure zen & the perfect stay! ✨🏡 This place is simply unforgettable. It’s spacious, peaceful and beautifully designed; so much so that you don’t even feel the need to leave. The pool is amazing, perfect for cooling off and relaxing and in the early mornings or evenings, you can spot so many birds and even incredible Indian flying foxes! From the moment we arrived, Malan & Janaki made us feel at home, ensuring we were comfortable. The food? Absolutely delicious! From the amazing breakfast to any extra meal they prepared for us - so fresh & full of flavor! A few lovely extras: Tiny, the sweetest dog (don’t worry, he won’t disturb you if you’re not a dog person) and a small, family-run wood-fired bakery next door for daily fresh bread. After weeks of travel, this place was exactly what we needed. We only wished we had more days here, but next time, we’re staying longer! A big thanks to Andrew, a fantastic host—responsive, understanding, and so gracious. Highly recommended!

A wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city - peaceful, surrounded by nature, and free from noise pollution. Duminda, David, and Charles made me feel completely at home and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was an unforgettable experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!
