The Nala Bed and Breakfast team with Max and Mme Ratu were responsive before we departed from our location. On arrival we were handled with courtesy. Slept peacefully just some mosquitoes just make sure to carry your repellent. They made dinner on request 😋 The English Breakfast in the morning was also well matched. The location makes it easy to travel to the nearest Mantso Pass and we also went to Afriskie Resort.

The guest house is very cute. I loved the aesthetic, felt a bit like we were in an old German folk story. Appreciated the fact that they gave us an electric blanket as well as a small bar heater. The shower pressure could be better. The owners should consider replacing the shower head. Unfortunately, the dinner menu is limited and Ficksburg is a one horse town. It really is just a “pass through on your way to…” town. The guest house is a dream though.

Our stay at Rensburghoek Guest Farm was an experience out of the ordinary. Coming from a busy consumption-driven city, we got to experience an organic way of life where nature has its way. Everything on the farm is organic from the vegetable garden, the wild chickens, and horses to the fruit trees. This place will inspire you to refocus your energy on what really matters in life. If you need to disconnect from distractions and detox from the busy city life this is the place to be. They make amazing foods, offer awesome Equine Experiential Learning with wild horses, have cow milking experiences, and have great hiking trails with breathtaking views. And for those who love trains, there is a railroad through the farm. Rensburghoek Guest Farm is everything people need in today’s busy world.
