Our family had an unforgettable stay at Felipe’s lovely Airbnb in Punta Cocles. The house was surrounded by beautiful jungle, and we regularly spotted monkeys, toucans, and colorful frogs right from the porch—it felt like our own private nature retreat. The beach was just a short, easy walk away, and it quickly became our favorite place to relax and watch the waves. Felipe was incredibly kind and accommodating throughout our stay. You can tell he genuinely cares about his guests having a great experience. We’re so grateful for his hospitality and can’t wait to return. Highly recommend!

Peaceful and relaxing. Beautiful place surrounded by nature. We’ve seen macaw parrots , agouits, hummingbirds , toucans, howler monkey, butterflies including blue morpho! Beautiful beach just right there in front of you. Monica very helpful. Definitely recommend!

Daniel went above and beyond to make sure we had nothing short of an amazing stay here in Casa Cocles! Daniel was checking on us through the trip to make sure we knew of the local spots and must-visit areas. He also greeted us with some fresh cut fruit to munch which was very refreshing! The location is at a really convenient spot that allowed for worry-less travel between different activities. We ended up visiting the animal rescuer center, countless Puerto Viejo restaurants, Cahuita National Park, BriBri tribe territory, lots of beaches , etc and these all felt very accesible and easy to get to with or without a rental car. Some tours even offer to pick us up exactly at Casa Cocles for free! We were super grateful and happy with our stay, and will definitely be coming back here for future getaways!

Lovely place for holidays, beautiful beach, and well located in the middle of Cocles beach, with shops and restaurants walking distance. Comfortable house for two couples or a family, well equipped. The bedroom downstairs is quite humid and also downstairs shower had issues. However the living space downstairs is amazing and as well upstairs bedroom and bathroom. We really enjoyed our stay and would come back. There are many birds in the trees, also monkeys and a sloth. We enjoyed also the nearby pool when the sea got rough. The area is very quiet and peaceful besides the unfortunate moment when one of the neighbours had a party. Cindy is very helpful and always available with a smile, and Julio was very responsive to our questions as well. Thank you.

Great location! The place is old enough to be appear a little tired and has screens which can let in road dust though they were thoughtful in spraying down the road with water to avoid this. My only real complaint is that the outdoor shower has rotten boards at the base. Please replace for safety and effectiveness. Hard to get your feet clean standing on the sand beneath the shower base. Across a dirt road and 50 meters to the beach. A couple of restaurants within walking distance. Good to have a car but, you can walk a long way south on the beach and a beautiful short hike across the point trail to Uva . Walk north beyond the river inlet to the beach umbrellas in the distance to an awesome cocktail beer or smoothie at Awa. It’s a hotel bar but they welcome guests. Overall a great place. I would recommend to all but the super fussy.

Unser Aufenthalt war einfach nur traumhaft. Die alte Bibliothek gibt einen magischen Vibe und die Lage ist einfach traumhaft. Direkt am Strand gelegen und mit den bereitgestellten Fahrrädern nur ein paar Minuten vom Nationalpark entfernt. Silvia war super nett und hilfsbereit. Mitten in der Nacht hat ein Faultier bei uns im Schlafzimmer vor dem Regen Schutz gesucht, und hat uns ein magisches Erlebnis beschert. Davon werden wir bestimmt bis ans Ende unseres Lebens erzählen! Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und allen empfehlen hier zu übernachten, die einen ganz besonderen Ort suchen. Danke!

Wir hatten mit unseren beiden Kindern eine sehr schönes Zeit bei Andrea. Die Unterkunft ist ganau richtig groß für uns gewesen, die Lage in der Natur sehr paradiesisch und die Umgebung ruhig mit zwei fußläufig zu erreichenden Stränden. Top Reinigung, Kommunikation und Unterstützung von Andrea. Hätte nicht besser sein können.

Empfehlenswertes kleines Haus. Aussen rustikal - innen komfortabel. Geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Gute Betten - angenehme , seidige Bettwäsche. Funktionale Küche. Vor dem Haus, Waschmaschine und Trockner. ( sogar mit Waschmittel)! Voll in die Natur eingebettet. Kurzer Weg zum Strand. 2 bequeme Beachchairs. Wir haben entspannte 4 Tage hier verbracht.

Beautiful accomodations with ipen air kitchen and modern, air-conditioned bedrooms/showers. Jungle enclave just a few hubdred meters from the black sand beach. On site swimming pool, comfortable sitting area and tables adacent to the pool. Bus stop and groceries just outside the gate. Easy walk along the beach to Puerto Viejo or take a tuk tuk for 2.000 colones. Host very responsive and proactive. Would stay here again and highly recommend

This home is a gem in disguise. The landscaping is absolutely beautiful. We came here for a week. It was a long drive from the San Jose international airport but well worth it. Very sweet local town. The people in the town are really nice. The food is absolutely delicious and clean. Ice cream is delicious. We had a wonderful vacation, celebrating our sister’s 60th birthday. We loved having the pool to relax at during the heat of the day. Great kitchen to make breakfast everyday. Grocery store is not far at all. The dog and 2 cats are so cute and sweet. Wir hatten eine tolle, entspannte Zeit in Leslies großem Haus. Uns hat der private Pool und insgesamt die Privatsphäre, die wir hatten sehr gefallen. Es gab in dem blütenreichen Garten immer etwas zu schauen. Der tolle Strand ist nur wenige Schritte entfernt, ebenso wie etliche Restaurants und Supermärkte. Insgesamt ist Cuhuita eine Reise wert.

Honestly, this is the one. Rasta 420 friendly. Safe secure, private beach , nice pool, good restaurant, amazing host. Close enough to everything but far enough from everyone. This one is on my 100% stay again list. Pura Vida 🙌

Dieses Airbnb ist ein kleines Paradies auf Erden! Umgeben von üppigen Pflanzen fühlt man sich in dieser grünen Oase sofort wohl. Besonders gefiel uns die wunderschöne große Terrasse, die wir zum Essen und relaxen ausgiebig nutzten. Dank der Umzäunung und dem großen Tor kann man sich jederzeit sicher fühlen und ist auch für sich. Die Unterkunft ist am Rande von Puerto Viejo, sodass man an der Straße 256 in die Stadt oder zum Strand läuft. Alternativen wie Tuktuk oder einen Leih-Scooter machen die Sache einfacher und flexibler. Wie fast überall in Puorto hört man hauptsächlich tagsüber die Durchgangsstraße. Nachts ist kaum Verkehr. Jerome war ein ausgezeichneter und aufmerksamer Gastgeber – sympathisch, äußerst hilfsbereit und ein faszinierender Gesprächspartner. Wir sind schweren Herzens abgereist und empfehlen diese Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiter.

Para iniciar Jerson es una persona súper amable , servicial y atenta. Y sobre el lugar se puede ir caminando a la playa más cerca, al supermercado, sino quieres salir por la noche a comer por que prefieres quedarte en la tranquilidad del hotel, Jerson te felicita un express que te ofrece todo tipo de comida. Las instalaciones son muy bonitas , todo muy limpio y súper seguro y tranquilo. Lo recomiendo al mil 👌🏽

Fue una estancia muy agradable , con casas muy bien cuidadas en medio de un jardín muy especial . La casa completamente equipada y la confianza de la anfitriona es increíble, además el pueblo de Cahuita y el Parque Nacional es impresionante, muy recomendado .

Es un lugar excelente, su ubicación es perfecta, es privada pero no lejos de todo, cómo playas restaurantes, supermercados, la comunicación con Jorge fue asertiva, no hubo problemas con las indicaciones. La estadía fue agradable aún cuando el clima no estuvo tan bien, pero disfrutamos. En general si volveríamos. De las ocupaciones que he visitado PV, es la mejor estancia.

What a magical place! Our family of five loved our stay at Amanda’s casita. It was clean and cool with a well equipped kitchen including a coffee maker, toaster and blender (which we used to make delicious smoothies!) The high ceilings and strong ceiling fans provided a welcome retreat from the heat and the mosquito netting over the beds gave us peace of mind at night. The beautiful calm waters of the Caribbean are literally steps from the front door which was ideal for our children (9, 7, & 5) as it made it easy to slip back and forth from beach to house throughout the day. There is reef right off the beach and with snorkeling gear we rented from Amanda we enjoyed spotting tropical fish. With everything so walkable we were able to slow down and spend our days between beach and hammock. In the evenings we would walk to a lovely beach side restaurant. Amanda organized a guide who took us on a very engaging & informative hike through Manzanillo wildlife refuge which the kids loved.

We had a great stay at tiny beach house, the whole place was just beautiful, and we saw many animals like a sloth or hummingbird. The communication with Lynch was great, he was very open and supportive, I will definitely come back!

La casa sigue siendo igual de hermosa y acogedora. La mejor opción para vivir Cahuita al máximo. Está lo suficientemente lejos del centro para ser tranquilo, pero cerca de todo, incluidas dos playas cercanas. ¡Un verdadero pequeño paraíso!

Absolutely beautiful! Sharon was very nice and helpful. Walking distance to black sand beaches and restaurants. We rented scooters for a few days and traveled around. So many beautiful beaches and fun restaurants. The water was perfect! It was a long travel to get there and I’d do it again in a heartbeat!

The place is great love the location surrounded by friendly people and very close to local areas like grocery stores and walkable to the beach loved everything about this place.

Wir waren 6 Nächte Vorort und waren sehr zufrieden . Tolle, gemütliche Unterkunft direkt gegenüber der Strand perfekt. Super Gastgeber hat uns mit vielen guten Tipps ( Strände, Restaurants, Nationalparks etc.) versorgt. gerne wieder!

The location was perfect. You could walk to almost everything. If you don’t want to walk you can always flag down a auto rickshaw(3 wheeled taxi). It does get extremely noisy at night with all the motorcycles and people partying at the beach. Dan does provide ear plugs which was an absolute must. But the location was worth it.
