Wonderful house. The animals on the property are awesome. Meg was a helpful and friendly host. The place is as pictured and described. Fantastic place for jungle immersion, but be ready for all that entails (some bugs and noises). Cocles is a super lively and fun beach and worth a visit. It’s a better place to stay than directly in Puerto Viejo. The house is up a hill a little bit so transport of sorts is recommended.

Lovely stay here - great value for Puerto Viejo! Very responsive host and wonderful location - slightly out of the main town but within 10 mins walk of the centre and 5 mins walk of the beach!

Wonderful place to stay in Puerto viejo. Everything is in walking distance and the cahuita national park and manzanillo Refugio are just 20-30min by car. Our host was very nice and reacted very quickly and relaxed when we locked us out one time 😅 I can only recommend this place to everyone wanting to stay in the area.

Die Unterkunft ist wunderschön und sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Sie liegt mitten im Grünen mit toller Aussicht in die Natur. Die Faultier und Affen konnten wir von der Terasse aus beobachten. Es ist ruhig, sicher und alle Ziele in Puerto Viejo sind gut erreichbar. Die Wohnung ist toll aufgeteilt, sehr sauber und es ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Bei Fragen gibt es auch eine sehr nette Ansprechpartnerin vor Ort. Das Highlight der Wohnung ist die schöne Terasse und die praktische Küche. Wir haben uns rundherum sehr wohl gefühlt, es war wie nach Hause kommen. Wir können die Unterkunft für einen schönen Aufenthalt in Puerto Viejo nur empfehlen und werden bestimmt mal wieder kommen. Vielen Dank für die schöne Woche!

Maria and her husband were superb hosts who graciously went out of their way to make sure our stay was comfortable and abundantly flowing with the fruits of their pristine and well curated garden oasis. They even went as far as to pick us up from a restaurant when they’d noticed we were not yet back for the night, knowing we were traveling by foot. We are grateful for their kindness and hospitality and for providing travelers with such a comfortable, clean, safe and secure, and well maintained space. Would stay again whenever i’m the area.

Second year in a row staying in Anielkas place and don’t regret it. The place is fully equipped, close to playa negra beach and lots of walkable restaurants in the center of Puerto Viejo. The place is clean and safe.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Casa Mambo. The open space is nothing short of amazing. We loved relaxing in this beautiful and peaceful setting, surrounded by birds, agoutis, and monkeys! We even had the chance to watch a flock of toucans stopping in the trees nearby. The bed was comfortable, and the added mosquito nets were a nice touch. The open kitchen is clean and well-equipped with everything we needed. The pool was perfect for relaxing on a hot day! Casa Mambo is a quiet and private place, yet very close to the beaches, restaurants, and nightlife of Puerto Viejo. We would definitely return!

Muy satisfechos, con el alojamiento, lo que se muestra en las fotos es realmente lo que es, un lugar acogedor y relajante, lleno de naturaleza y paz, realmente hermoso, muy limpio, el Centro de puerto viejo está muy cerca, donde hay de todo y muy buenos restaurantes para todos los gustos, Giorgio siempre atento y dando excelentes opciones. realmente volveríamos estar allí

Cuando llegamos la casa estaba realmente limpia y ordenada. Tiene todo lo necesario para pasar en familia y además está ubicada cerca de Puerto Viejo y las otras playas pero sin perder la paz y tranquilidad. La pasamos muy bien.

My friends and I spent a lot of time researching various Airbnbs in Puerto Viejo, and are so happy we decided on this one. Not only is this house beautiful, comfortable, clean and airy, but it is surrounded by gorgeous lush vegetation. It was wonderful to see (and hear) the many birds, butterflies and even howler monkeys through the large windows in every room (and from the various patios of the house). There was greenery everywhere. The location... a short (and pleasant) walk from the main road, and the beach was perfect. Our host Mirjana, and her husband Leo, are lovely people. They are pleasant, honest, and genuine, and are amazing hosts. Mirjana was quick to respond to the many questions I had. She was always available to give advice and tips about restaurants, drivers (she recommended an excellent tuktuk driver, whom we used often), and more. Mirjana and Leo, thank you so much for making our stay at Casa Palmera so special.

El lugar es hermoso, amplio, lleno de árboles y tiene un rancho para pasar un rato fresco y agradable. La casa hermosa, con lindos acabados rústicos, está bien equipada. Luís siempre responde las dudas. Volvería sin dudarlo.

What an exceptional location. You live on the first floor of this beautiful spacious house made of tropical wood. Very big balconies offer fantastic views in the garden of Eden. The garden is unique and really amazing and loaded with animals, especially birds and even a sloth. The walkway through the garden to the yoga hut is very cool. The (pretty wild) beach and the village are within walking distance, very convenient. We didn’t really use the kitchen but it seems perfectly equipped. We loved the place. Dawn is a great host, extremely helpful and friendly, all dialogue was easy and smooth. We highly recommend this place.

Troy's Casa ♡ ein magischer Ort !! Inmitten eines mit viel Liebe zur Natur, angelegter Garten. Von der Terrasse aus kann man eine ganze Menge Tiere beobachten und ist perfekt um in der Hängematte zu entspannen. Das Haus hat alles was man braucht. Ganz nah zum Strand , Bars und Restaurants. Troy war für uns ein wunderbarer Gastgeber, aufmerksam und sehr bemüht , wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen .Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt...Danke Troy !

Een echte aanrader voor reizigers die op zoek zijn naar rust, privé en omringd bij de natuur! Het overtrof onze verwachtingen. Het huis zelf oogt luxe en heeft alles wat je nodig hebt. Het grootste pluspunt vonden wij de hangmat waar je je volledig in de natuur kunt wanen en van waaruit je veel dieren kunt spotten. Wij zagen veel vogels zoals kaketoes en papegaaien, en ook leguanen, kikkers, eekhoorns en een luiaard. De weg ernaartoe is onverhard en sommige stukken zijn stijl, met een 4x4 ging het ons prima af. Wij liepen richting het strand en naar Talamanca, als je goed ter been bent is dat prima te doen. Daar kun je tevens lekker uit eten maar de keuken is ook prima uitgerust om zelf iets klaar te maken. De host is heel vriendelijk en geeft tips voor de omgeving. Als je de tijd hebt zou ik aanraden om wat langer te blijven zodat je ook rustig van de omgeving en het huis kunt genieten! Enige nadeel was dat ze op sommige dagen in de omgeving aan het bouwen waren toen wij er waren.

Lovely place. The landscaping is extraordinary and it was so beautiful we spent several days just staying at the house. The hotel next-door was a bonus as it had a bar restaurant where we could order drinks and food and have them delivered to the beach. the beach was empty, but you could walk a mile and either direction to go to a busier beach with beach bars and restaurants. Had a bit of an issue with the pool at one point, but Utopía Caribe, the property manager, was very attentive and remedied the problem to our satisfaction. If you're going to the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica, rent this house.

Wish I would have stayed here for my whole trip. Great little apartment that was comfortable with far more accommodations than a hotel. I had a great stay and Morgan and Danielle were very friendly, helpful and responsive to questions.
