Book this place!! We had such a great time at the beach and in this Airbnb. Our group was comprised of 3 couples and 2 infants and we were so comfortable! We stayed for 4 nights and made all of our meals with ease - one of the best equipped kitchens I've stayed in. We loved the location, truly a 3-5 minute walk to the beach (depending on how much you're carrying!), and a great view of the Sound. The Airbnb was bigger than I expected and having 2.5 bathrooms was great for our group size. Highly recommend!!

This is the second time we’ve stayed at Marooned Five as a family of five and we all love it! Our 2 younger kids love the loft and my older kid loves the second bedroom to himself. It’s not easy finding room for everyone when we travel but we don’t have to worry about it when we stay at David and Kris’ place. The two golf carts give us flexibility to split up and we also love riding bikes on the island. Marooned Five comes with everything you need for a relaxing vacation. We have stayed here during the off season and prefer it but will also be back during the summer season. Some of our favorites to do here: climb Old Baldy, eat at Jules and Jailhouse, beach days, have a date sans kids at Bald Head Bottle, visit Turtle Central and complete their scavenger hunt around the island. We went to Sunday service at the Chapel and had breakfast afterwards at The Boathouse. We shopped at the Maritime shops and scheduled a guided kayak tour (that was canceled due to rain). But we’ll be back!

This place is amazing. When I have to stay at other places, I always hold them to Rob's standards and they hardly ever meet those. His place is clean and convenient. It's literally about 6 steps to the ocean. I think my favorite thing is the two decks facing the ocean. You could just sit there for hours and enjoy the scenery. Plenty of space to just hang out and chill. All that you would ever need in a kitchen, living room, and bedrooms. I straight up don't want to stay anywhere else but here. Thank you Rob for another perfect stay!

Nice place steps from the beach. The roof deck provides a great view.

This is the 2nd consecutive year we’ve stayed here for our annual girls trip! We usually go to a different beach each year but we came back to Kure because we liked this house so much. I really can’t say enough good things about it. Super convenient to the beach so our group can come and go as they please. It’s very comfortable, clean, spacious and we feel very safe here. Kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance but this year we drove 10 minutes to Carolina Beach which was also very easy and convenient. Michelle is very communicative and responsive. Couldn’t ask for a better host!

Robyn’s place was everything we asked for and needed for our yearly family vacation to Kure beach. The place was very clean, beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. Being steps away from the ocean made this stay so special. The balcony upstairs was a wonderful bonus for early morning coffee and watching sunsets. Thanks again Robyn for sharing your place with us.

Our group had a wonderful stay! The house was lovely, with plenty of space and comfortable accommodations. The well stocked beach supplies closet was a highlight and had everything we needed for enjoying the beach. Connie was communicative and had lots of great suggestions. With the beach only a block away, it was the perfect vacation retreat! Thank you for being such gracious hosts!

The place was exactly as described and worked perfect for our family get together. The boys had fun fishing in the canal and the kayaks were great! The pier and restaurants were right down the road too.

This was even nicer than what was advertised. Beautiful, clean, fully stocked and the host was so helpful. We had to plan a surprise and she helped us with recommendations since we were not from the area and allowed us to check in earlier to help with our plans. Would definitely go back and highly recommend.

This is our third year at the House of Kai, we love this spot! Perfect for a beach trip with two young kids. There is so much to do - the boardwalk, Sunny Days BBQ with oceanfront views, Good Hops Brewery, renting bikes from Tong Silvani and biking to the State park, the boardwalk and the Brewery, the Sandspur, Fort Fisher for the aquarium and beach hikes, taking the ferry to and from Southport, and a quick drive to Wilmington for a day playing at the Children's Museum and walking along the river walk. Just the best!

Great location! Walkable to the beach, beautiful views and private access of the marsh. Ample comfy outdoor patio seating. Living room and dining table arrangement was very inviting for bringing everyone together for meals and movies. Well stocked kitchen with ample dishes/ cups. Appreciated the labeled light switches! Lots of beach gear and games. Pac-Man arcade game was a family favorite! Additional extras like elevator and Bluetooth speaker were much appreciated!

We had a great stay at this property. Plenty of extras to feel comfortable - extra paper products, trash bags, etc and even had a beach wagon, chairs, beach bags, and towels. Responsive host without extra unnecessary conversation. Really appreciated this last minute availability as our original booking got cancelled the night before.

We had an overall fantastic stay here! ♥️ what a beautiful home in a great location. Very easy to get to the beach. Loved that there was a high chair and baby gates as we were traveling with our little. We did bring our fur baby along, who we unfortunately had cross the rainbow bridge while we were here. Sarah provided a recommendation for a local vet which I appreciated dearly. She was very responsive and pleasant. While this was certainly an emotional trip, the kindness shown to us means so much. Highly recommend. Would happily stay again!

We had a wonderful stay at the Sandy Unicorn! Giedre was responsive and checked in to see if we needed anything during our visit. Loved the close proximity to the beach and greatly appreciated the beach chairs and wagons.

The house was just as advertised - more than enough space for 3 single ladies. The deck was a great hang out area. We liked being in a quieter part of the island, while still walkable to the beach access and Tiki bar. Had a blast driving the golf cart around. We didn't do any cooking but the kitchen seemed well appointed for those who will.

Just wow! Beautiful home with lots of space, we love that it was pet friendly and the outdoor shower was such a bonus for washing sandy paws! The owners were extremely responsive and the kitchen was more than stocked for cooking! Not to mention the beds were soooo comfortable. We will be back!

This AirB&B was perfect for our stay during the Thanksgiving days/nights. The location was comfortable and perfect as our daughter, SIL and grandchildren live 10 minutes away. Mark was available whenever I had a question. We loved it so much, we booked it for Christmas.

Laura was great to work with and the place was perfect! We will definitely be back.

We have stayed at Marc and Rebecca’s at least 6 times, maybe more. That we keep going back should speak for itself. Their place is always clean and neat. We are close to our relatives which is a priority for us. We have cooked meals there as grocery stores are close. We have also enjoyed many restaurants in the area. We feel safe in the neighborhood. There are sidewalks for walking for exercise and the backyard looks out on a pond. We see fish and geese. Our grandson loves to go look at the geese. We already have reservations to stay there again. Beautiful place just like the photo's and a perfect way to unwind after a busy season from our businesses. Spotless and the view and sound of the waves crashing was exactly what we were looking for on this trip. Perfect communication and we would definitely highly recommend as well as return ourselves. Anne was an amazing host. The Airbnb itself is beautiful and so convenient. My boyfriend and I booked this place for a quick trip away from our cold Pennsylvania weather and it did not disappoint. Anne was very responsive and didn’t leave us in the dark if we needed anything. We will be back again!

I was in town for 2 weeks on a work trip. Home was comfortable and location was great. Close to my office and convenient to lots of shopping and dining options.
