Staying at Scott’s was a complete pleasure for our family – the house was spotless, the kitchen fully stocked (with many extras), a great game room, hugely appreciated AC (a rarity in homes there and so much more comfortable during a hot stretch), a truly homey feel when we’d return from a long day of hiking. Most of all, Scott was great to work with, has enormous integrity, is extremely responsive to any questions, and truly cares about his guests. Stellar home and host.

Debbie house was everything we needed and more. She was so quick to respond with any questions and had so many recommendations for the area. We are a helicopter crew working in the area and are moving around a ton. She even had a second home we could move in to with a last minute change from our side of work. We hope to stay at any of Debbie's locations anytime we are in the area!

Updated kitchen, spacious, plenty of room for a boat, close to Rec area, good communication with owners. No complaints

Nice large peaceful space, great for relaxing and playing games with the family. We enjoyed the pool table and the poker table very much. Kitchen was well equipped and made it easy to cook for the family. The snacks and wine at check in was a nice touch. There was plenty of warm blankets to curl up in, in fact there was a beautiful handmade quilt that reminded me so much of my own at home that my grandmother made years ago! The host Ernie was very responsive when I had questions, and I really appreciated that. We enjoyed our weekend stay, only complaint is we wish we would have booked for more time.

My first stay in an air bnb. I have to say I really enjoyed myself. The swimming hole was great for a cool refreshing dip and the deep bathtub was perfect for a long relaxing soak. There were plenty of extra linens and she was quick to respond when I had a question. I would defiantly stay there again

Place was beautiful inside and out! Description does not do it justice. Boat launch is sooo close, quiet, the amenities were impeccable

It’s a very cozy home. You can hear the stream running through the backyard moving for a walk and I ran into some neighbors who were friendly and one was taking a horse ride through the mountains. The kitchen is fantastic. The house is super warm. The fireplace is amazing. It’s super quiet she was very communicative in check in process and in the process when we were leaving, she made sure we were having a good time would completely recommend it.

Wow, it’s been a while since we’ve taken a family get away but this was the perfect place, perfect host. Wasn’t sure what to expect but that uncertainty was gone upon arrival. I loved that the town isn’t far and the lake. The drive there from San Francisco was really easy even under the snowy weather, few curves but mostly straight road there so I felt safe. My kids are already asking when we can go back, it was an amazing weekend, I can’t wait to visit again. Saw a bald eagle land on the property as well that’s an experience I never knew I needed. 10/10 definitely will plan another trip, only complaint I heard was that the trip was too short.

What a beautiful place to stay and Kristine was such a thoughtful host. I wish I could live somewhere this peaceful and beautiful. Really, I would go back just for the hot tub and views alone, but such a tastefully decorated house is a pretty great bonus. Loved it!

Colby’s place was just what we needed for a weekend getaway. The space is comfortable and unique. We stayed with just our family of four, but could easily fit another family. My kids especially loved the pool table. We will definitely stay again!

Very comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. Would be nice to have a coffee maker - we brought our own coffee but not an option. Comfortable bed, couch and warm. Very enjoyable stay. And Jan was very responsive and concise with notifications/explanations. Thank you.

Truly a beautiful get away spot. Perfect cabin in the woods, close to the lake. Really enjoyed being a 5 minute drive to the water, lots of hiking/running trails close by.

Our family including grandparents thoroughly enjoyed making memories in this cozy, welcoming, and lovely cabin home away from home. Everything was clean and comfortable and modern, yet with the feel of cabin by the lake (and snow for us). Clear directions, great communication, comfortable beds all around, incredible views, open design so we were all together, fantastic kitchen, and so much more. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you Larry and Laurissa for sharing your kindness and home!

Had a great stay. I can best describe it as: We would be back next time visiting the area. Glenda was an excellent host and you can tell she cared that our stay would be excellent, both with the Cabin’s amenities and making sure everything was fine during the stay.

Luci was so great to welcome us back for our second stay at her beautiful cabin. we are always so sad to leave the historic town of Laporte. huge thank you from us all for the amazing hospitality from Luci, we will absolutely recommend anyone come stay with her at her property as she is an amazing host!
