Ainslie and Dan's place is outstanding in every way. It is very comfortable, beautifully furnished and well-equiped for self-catering. The bedrooms and living areas are spacious. The upstairs living room has a balcony with a view of Lake Macquarie where you can watch lovely sunrises. The availability of a double garage was super helpful as we have elderly parents and this meant that they were able to enter the house on the flat. The area is quiet and the lake is a short walk down a short but steep hill which presents no problem for those who are fit. Toronto is just a few minutes drive or about a 10 minute walk where there are lovely coffee shops. I highly recommend Ainslie and Dan's place. We had a wonderful stay.

Wonderful accommodation with amazing views. The house was very tastefully decorated and we felt very much at home. Lovely tranquil setting and lots of kangaroos and wallabies on the property. Hope to stay again one day.

We had such a relaxing and comfortable stay! We stayed for one night as we had an event on the next day but we only wish we had stayed an extra night and made a weekend of it! The property is immaculate, everything is kept so clean, tidy and neat. Plenty of space, there was only 3 of us but perfect place for 4 people. Nice large living room, spacious kitchen. Bedrooms were very comfortable. Beautiful bathroom. The backyard was a great space, gardens are gorgeous, nice bbq to use and fully enclosed which was awesome as we had our doggo with us. Lynn has been super thoughtful, so many nice little touches with everything you could need and more for a comfortable stay. I would definitely stay here again!

We had a great family vacation at Susan's place. Susan's house was very cosy with all the amenities required. Highly recommended. Susan was very accommodating to all our needs.

Absolute chilled after this weekend at Blackwood Lodge. Close to nature. Great location. Fantastic decor. Amazing amenities. Selection of wines was a +++. We ended up enjoying the home so much... that we didn't travel to far during the day. We met a brown snake in the garden, and loves the morning and evening kanga mob! We will be back [to explore the "actual"hunyer.... If we can get ourselves to leave "Blackwood lodge"].

We had a lovely girls' weekend at this house. It was spacious and clean, and we appreciated the breakfast supplies that were left for us. The location was convenient for our needs, and the view from the verandah was lovely, especially at sunset. We even saw some kangaroos in the mornings, which was a surprise. The house was quiet and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing getaway. Our host was easy to communicate with and was kind enough to offer us an early check-in and a later check-out. We enjoyed our stay.

A lovely exceptionally clean home in a quiet area. 5 minutes to Charles town shopping centre and 7 minutes to the beach. Lovely soft beds and a fantastic bathroom and shower. Kitchen had all amenities you could ask for, even though we ate out mostly! Would most certainty stay again, hopefully for longer next time!

We loved our time in this Airbnb, it was a great spot where we immediately felt at home. The house had everything we needed, it was clean and tidy, and was a nice walking distance into Cessnock for great coffee and breakfast. We’ll definitely be returning in future.

Had a great week-long stay at Kate's place. Everything was clean and well organised when I arrived, and the place quickly became home, with the kitchen, ironing board and various other appliances. The complementary treats were a much-loved bonus. The host was always very responsive to my queries and friendly. Thanks Kate!

Linda is a person with a heart of gold. The kind of experience that defines humanity still exists. Myself and my family migrated from India to Australia and we were not getting a home for rent and that is why we decided to take Linda’s Airbnb. She also gave us a few tips and was also gracious enough to extend our stay until we could sustain ourselves. There is everything you need at Linda’s place and the outside views are amazing.Thanks for everything and may we meet again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Atomic Hideaway. It is a thoroughly retro themed space, down to every last detail. Meticulously cared for and something new to discover everywhere you look. The kitchen and bathroom were clean and really well stocked, so very functional. Nights were cosy, comfortable and quiet. Thank you Mel & Adam for a great getaway.

The Airbnb was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described, offering great value for the price. The space was fairly private despite a door to the host’s house, (which stayed closed). Overall, a great stay would book again!

We booked Leone's to be close to a wedding we were attending at Stanley Park. The location was excellent with shops and cafes down the street. The house was just what we wanted for 4 adults, with 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms. The furnishings were clean and tidy, with a very comfortable bed. I loved the addition of the condiments in the fridge and kitchen that was a surprise bonus, thank you. We had a great stay and will recommend it to others.

Maree’s place was just what us as a couple needed. Newly refurbished but felt homely and was beautifully decorated. The kitchen was stocked with everything you would need to cook and enjoy the experience. The outdoor area was large and had glimpses of the water. A small walk took you to the lake. Maree supplied snacks, breakfast and fruit and other staples that we were not expecting and were very grateful for. The bed was really comfortable and ceiling fans kept us cool as well. Fabulous stay! Cannot recommend staying at Parkway enough! From the location to the beautifully appointed apartment. It exceeded our expectations and we will most certainly be returning. Perfect place to unwind and spend a weekend.

Since the owner was out of the country his son managed the property. He was really helpful and easy to be contacted. They provide bread, cereal and other basic stuffs to prepare the breakfast. All the utensils and other stuffs were labled properly. Overall good experience.

glad we found this gem. great location, close to the lake, pub, beach etc … plenty of privacy at the same time. we really loved the stylish interior & cool decor, the serene garden is a peaceful retreat as well. Brad’s local knowledge and hospitality made our stay even more amazing. will be back.

My husband and I can't say enough wonderful things about our stay at Leconfield House and Richard and Mark. We are still raving about how wonderful it was from the ease of finding the place, the communication, how gorgeous the house/gardens and our room was, the amazing breakfast the next day...everything was perfect. She was incredibly kind, respected our privacy, and even prepared a lovely breakfast for us in the morning, which was such a thoughtful touch. Staying at Ian’s place must have been one of the best airbnb experiences so far! Ian went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable, even let us have a late check out since our transport didn’t leave until late that day. Having breakfast was a great plus and the airbnb was extremely provided with everything you could possibly need! Very beautiful location in terms of closeness to Anzac memorial walk. Definitely recommend and would stay again anytime!

We had the most amazing stay at serenity by the lake. From the second we arrived we felt so relaxed. Leah was a great host & went above and beyond to provide everything we would need for a relaxing stress free time. From the generous breakfast provisions, pantry full of food, extra toiletries incase we forgot anything and the kayaks, stand up paddle boards and fishing rods. Nothing beats sitting on the jetty with a drink watching the most amazing sunsets this place has to offer. We would highly recommend this place for anyone wanting to get away for a couple of nights.

Brad’s place was great for my little family. You can tell just how much effort he has put into his listing, food items left in the room for breakfast, soap/shampoo & conditioner in the bathroom and ample wash cloths/towels. A lovely outdoor area with a beautiful view of the lake and walking distance to the pub if you wanted to go out for dinner. Brad was accomodating and helped us check in, he was welcoming of our little dog and young baby and we felt comfortable knowing we could ask him for anything if we needed something else. We would definitely stay here again.
