Udara is an exceptionally friendly, hospitable and thoughtful host. The main benefit of her well appointed home with all amenities, is the sheer size and space. There's three floors with a bedroom and a bathroom on each floor, a giant Samsung smart TV in the upstairs lounge which was very relaxing to watch when we needed to unwind. Ideally suited for a family on holiday, this three storey house is conveniently located in a safe suburban neighbourhood in Thalawathugoda, walking distance to supermarkets, shopping malls and restaurants. Udara's dad lives nearby and greeted us upon arrival and he is available for any assistance if needed. I highly recommend Udara's house as a peaceful retreat for those in need of a restful family vacation, whilst staying conveniently in Colombo. Thank you Udara for your kind hospitality, we truly appreciate it!

Kumar’s place was fabulous. Jaya (house keeper) was such an amazing help, simply made our stay luxurious. Tuan (manager) was very responsive and helped with arranging everything.

Basma is a great host. We were all very comfortable in her place. She helped us to finalize all our sight seeing plans and even gave us tips to save money and do things in a much better fashion.

Host communicated well! Instructions were helpful and check-in was easy. Clean and well maintained house. Highly recommended.

We stayed for a short period and it there was nothing much to complain about. Samantha is a good host and friendly character. House is clean and well maintained with necessary furnishings surrounded by vegetation. It was value for money. Would recommend always 👌

Ryan was an exceptional host. Very warm and welcoming. He was also available for us anytime over call or evwn a message. Regarding the stay everything was taken care of as mentioned in the listing. The place is well maintained and organized. The location is at walkable distance from supermarkets like keels and cargills and also from public transport. All kitchen essentials were present for light cooking. Bathrooms had the necessary toileteries. The rooms were spacious. The washing machine was in good condition. Iron provided was good. No issues with internet, electricity and water as well. We stayed at the property for 9 nights and we always felt at home. Would definitely recommend this property to others. Suggestion would be to put a clock in the living area and bedrooms if possible.

La villa était parfaite, pas loin des plages tout en étant dans un coin paisible. Le logement était très propre et très fonctionnel. Tharu est très sympathique, il a été flexible sur les horaires d'arrivée, nous a fait des cadeaux locaux et est même monté en tuktuk avec nous pour nous montrer quelques endroits de la région. Son petit déjeuner était également délicieux !

Dallas was a great host. He was a very friendly, very helpful and a very welcoming sort of a person. When I arrived at his place it was pass midnight, nevertheless he was awake to welcome me. The facilities were great, not only the room and the bathroom the whole apartment was at my disposal. Very clean, spacious, quiet and very secure. In case I go back to Colombo again I will definitely stay there and would recommend to any future traveller. Excellent value for money.

The apartment is in a perfect location. Walking distance to 2 supermarkets, shopping mall, the bakery and restaurant, etc. Nice view from a window of Colombo city.

Such a lovely location! I celebrated my daughter's birthday here with our two doggies, and it turned out to be a truly wonderful day. The garden and indoor spaces offer plenty of room, making it ideal for gatherings. The staff were exceptional—attentive, supportive, and genuinely helpful, which made everything run smoothly. I’m so glad I chose this Amy's Haven and can’t wait to visit again!

I booked the home for 6 adults and 2 kids, and we had a wonderful 5 day stay. We spent our days swimming in the pool (long enough for laps!); lounging by the pool drinking tea or reading or playing board games; indulging in the most delicious meals cooked by Manjula; listening to the waves crash on the beach that’s a small coconut grove away; or taking naps in the comfortable beds in our airy bedrooms, which were beautifully decorated. Evocative of the Geoffrey Bawa style (a Murad Ismail masterpiece), this style of home may be the best way to enjoy all that Sri Lanka offers. The garden is beautiful. We rarely saw any mosquitos (I still sprayed my kids), despite us spending most of our time in the open veranda/lounge by the pool. Manjula is an excellent chef and cooked a bday lunch for 20. All of my Sri Lankan relatives - the toughest food critics of all - loved his food. Crab curry, hoppers, kotthu roti, chicken curry done 3 ways, butter cake, we had it all! We hope to be back!

I would like to thank Lalin and caretaker Hettiarchchi for welcoming us to this luxurious property which i considered a hidden gem. Coming through the gates is a feeling i cannot describe and can only be experienced if you book and stay. Amenities as stated, place was spotless and caretaker was available late at night when we had questions. To anybody looking to explore Colombo or neighbouring areas i highly recommend to spend your nights at (that place) 🙂. You will not regret it. I will be retuning here again for sure. Thank you for all your hospitality from start to finish. 🙏🏽

Thank you for the most beautiful and pure experience in nature. Together with my boyfriend, we enjoyed every second in this hidden, breathtaking space. In the middle of the nature - the best food served fresh and experimental every day. We felt in heaven. I will come again. ❤️

My family had 5 nights in this delightful house which was a perfect antidote to 10 days of rushing around the island of Sri Lanka. It was so relaxing and greatly benefited from having private staff who dealt with everything we could possible have wanted. There is a private chef who went out of his way to prepare whatever we asked for, 3 meals a day if needed. He only charged us for the ingredients required to prepare those meals which included a range of seafoods (e.g. huge prawns and seer fish), fresh fruit and very tasty Sri Lankan main dishes and deserts - nothing was too much trouble and he should be justly proud of his cooking skills, some of the best meals we tasted on our trip. They happily took us out on the tuk-tuk to local shops and will arrange local tours but we were "toured out" by the time we got there. The pool is fantastic (and huge!) and the grounds are constantly maintained by "Uncle". I cannot say anything but positive things, but do bring the bug sprays!

This is a beautiful spacious property in a fabulous location with a sea view to die for. We were a little concerned as not many reviews, but this is often let as 2 homes together. Alexander was swift to respond and communicate this to us. Sam was always responsive and Dinesh was always on hand to look after us. The dogs are very friendly and absolutely no trouble at all. We already love this area in Sri Lanka, and loved it even more staying here.

Mohammed’s place was great value for money. It’s a modern, spacious, and fully furnished apartment. Very convenient access to all supermarkets, and other shops. We got a unit on the second floor which had great views from its balconies. We enjoyed the fireworks display from the balconies when the clock struck 12 on 1st Jan 2022. The kitchen has all utensils needed to cook your own meals. However, we noticed there wasn’t a gas cylinder owing to the current situation in the country. Still managed to cook most of our meals using the rice cooker. A hot plate or an induction cooker would be a nice addition. The building manager Mr. Mirzan was very nice and was flexible with all our requests. He made sure our stay at Amaze Residence was a pleasant one. We will definitely visit again.

Really nice host and really nice place. Worth the money

We arrived the airport at night, this house comforted us after a 20min driveway. Although it is so dark around that we could see nothing(it is a villa in a big and green garden), we surprised by the warm house very soon. We are 2couples, we have 2 rooms with individual bathroom and a shared yard. The beds and bathrooms are big and clean, hot water was provided only in one room but the cool water was also warm enough. There are nature calls of little bugs and birds. This villa offered us a comfortable rest after long flight, and a good start of the journey.Thank you!

Ajith was a kind and welcoming host, going beyond what can be expected. I thoroughly recommend staying at his place, and thank him kindly for his help.

We are remote workers. We lived in this apartment for 1 month at the April. This is really comfortable place. The owner was very hospitable and caring. We have made lists of the pros and cons of this apartment. Pros: 1. Good plumbing, nice water pressure and temperature; 2. Responsive owner who promptly resolves all issues; 3. The apartment is in good condition with good furniture., it is comfortable to live and work in this apartment; 4. The kitchen is equipped with you need for cooking. There is a microwave, blender, rice cooker, electric kettle, stove with oven, washing machine; 5. The owner brings us fresh towels, bed linen with change. free cleaning every week; 6. Several Internet networks with good speed and without restrictions. Cons: 1. Noisy. The owner's dogs bark loudly. Loud music plays next door on weekends. 2. Supermarkets on the main street 30 minutes walk. The beach is 45 minutes walk.

We stayed here for three months with our 9-month-old baby and had a wonderful experience. The house was safe, spacious, and perfect for any family. As first-time parents, we really appreciated the extra support—some of the owner’s relatives live nearby and were incredibly kind and helpful whenever we needed anything. Amila was also a fantastic communicator and co-host, always quick to respond and help sort out any issues in the house. We truly felt looked after and enjoyed our stay very much.

Mangala, a super host with a heart of gold! After three weeks of travelling around Sri Lanka we returned to Mangala's for our last two nights. It felt as though we had come home. She made us so welcome and sat and listened to all our news. Mangala arranged and joined us for a tour of Colombo and helped us get the best price for some last minute shopping. She arranged our airport drop off and the driver she had arranged on our arrival that collected us from Kandy and stayed with us for four days was excellent. All drivers, highly recommended, were from nklanka tours and holiday. Mangala's bungalow has a homely feel, warm colours and a tranquil garden with so many beautiful, colourful birds that fill the air with delightful tropical bird song. Her garden is so very natural and full of wonderful things to eat. Thank you, Mangala, for making our stay so very special.
