Gemütliche atmosphäre. Perfekt ausgestattet. Gut gelegen. Die Hosts sind sehr hilfsbereit und proaktiv und sehr gut erreichbar. Herzlicher und freundlicher Umgang. Nur zu empfehlen!

We had a fantastic time at House by the Sea. The view was gorgeous, the place was very clean and spacious (there were 7 of us), and the little touches like beach towels and coffee/milk/cookies on arrival made the stay extra special. Maria was a wonderful host- very responsive, provided clear directions and referrals to local restaurants/taxi services. When we ran out of dish/laundry soap and trash bags, she brought more right away and delivered them with a bouquet of flowers! We loved our time on Saõ Miguel and would stay at House by the Sea again in a heartbeat. Thank you Maria!

We very much enjoyed our stay. Our group of 5 liked the ability to spread out a bit on this 3 bedroom house, and the 2 bathrooms minimized the congestion getting ready in the morning. We liked the private parking inside the property, but since we had a rental that was a little larger and without the greatest turning ratio, we opted to just park on the street rather than negotiate with the driveway. We always found a spot in front of the church next door. Totally equipped kitchen and proximity to supermarkets gave us a break from eating out all the time and a chance to enjoy the property's great backyard. Carla was very helpful, easy going, and the house was spotless. The area is not in the heart of any action, but still only a few minutes drive away from anything, and it was fine by us (in fact, we preferred it). There is a convenient little market literally under the second floor great for essentials. Amazing place, and we were grateful for Carla for the opportunity to stay in it.

The charm and warmth of Fatima’s home is outdone only by her kindness and hospitality. Off season in Sao Miguel can be chilly but we were perfectly warm and cozy. We found the lighting a little dim on cloudy days, but this is easily remedied. The only sound at night was the roar of the ocean, just perfect. The locals at Music Hall and Lait Museum (both are cafés) were welcoming, I highly recommend checking them out! My thanks to Fatima and everyone in Maia, I could have stayed for weeks!

5 mins walk to beach. Relaxing and very clean! The host was very quick to reply (even when we locked ourselves out of our room)! Highly recommended!

Sehr sehr süßes Häuschen. Super ausgestattete Küche! Gut eingerichtet, aber eher für 2als für 4 Personen ausgelegt, was für uns kein Problem war. Lage ist schon sehr angelegen. Also zum einfach abschalten und Meer genießen genau richtig. Zum Insel erkunden ist es jedes mal ein gutes Stück fahrt.

What a cool place to stay in. I’ve always wanted to stay on a little boat and this was the perfect opportunity for a great price. You’re close to everything in the downtown area and it’s really great to be able to go on top of the boat and watch the sun set. I was greeted by Sandra who was able to help me out with anything I needed. The only thing I would mention is maybe having clear directions about how parking works in the underground parking lot. But that’s about it. It was a great day and I would definitely do it again.

Un des meilleurs logement dans lequel j'ai pu séjourner au cours de mes voyages. Très calme, confortable, jolis meubles, lit très confort, attentions sympa pour le petit déjeuner. Tout était vraiment parfait. Nordeste est un coin de l'Ile éloigné et parfois un peu négligé alors que c'est superbe. Je recommande ce logement à 100%.

Wendy was a great host! Our flight landed early and she was accommodating with letting my family and I check in early. She was very responsive with all our needs and even gave us good recommendations. I will definitely be visiting again. If visiting Azores I definitely recommend staying at Wendy’s place.

Vi är nöjda med Marianas lägenhet! Mycket tack vare balkongen lyfter lägenheten, den är helt fantastisk! Stor och med fantastisk utsikt! Mysigt också att strand och vattenfall är på gångavstånd. Det kan vara bra för er att veta är att det endast finns ett sovrum (med dubbelsäng) så om ni är fler personer så sover några i en del av vardagsrummet, avskilt med draperi. Mariana har varit tillmötesgående och vänlig i all kontakt. Positivt har också varit hennes tips på vad att se och göra på San Miguel.

We loved our stay! You can see the ocean off one side of the patio. Walkable to marina and restaurants. Great space.

Maria, was a fantastic host - I think the best we may have ever had! She allowed us to check in early after flying overnight from Toronto and she also let us check out late. She was very friendly, responsive and accommodating. Maria's place was colorful, welcoming, cozy and centrally located on the island. She provided us with fresh breads, cheese, wine, jams, coffee, tea and a delicious pineapple! We had a wonderful time and we hope to come back and visit beautiful São Miguel again. ❤️☀️🌴🍍🐄

The kids loved the pool, was quiet place, and lots of space. the beds were comfortable, the location was good. the view from the kitchen was fantastic.we loved that we had three showers and toilets.

Raquel’s home is something we will always remember. It’s stunning (even more stunning than the pictures), well located, so comfortable, and truly an upscale but also family-friendly home. We were blown away by her attention to detail and the architecture of the home. Every evening we sat outside and watched the sun go down while listening to the church bells and enjoying the sea breeze, and every morning our kids played on the lawn while we sipped coffee. The place is spacious and all 4 of us had more bedrooms than we needed to comfortably sleep. I loved the little village and really enjoyed popping into the local cafe and walking down the stairs to the private-feeling beach. We are already dreaming of returning! And out of all the things that make this place exceptional, the host’s communication and warmth rose to the top of the list. She is a hosting pro! Thanks for such a wonderful week.

Wonderful location on a working farm with both a fresh water pool steps from your accommodations, and a very nice salt water pool a few minutes walk. There are three places you can stay, two are right on the shared pool, but are private from each other. Perfect for a family, the upstairs is amazing for a kid zone, and the main floor is nicely arranged with the living/dining on one side, and the master able to be private on the other. Amazing fireplace, stocked with wood, and a well appointed kitchen. Had a slight problem getting in the gate, but within 10 minutes it was resolved. Host provided great recommendations of local grocery stores, and there is a winery 5 minutes a way that is well worth the visit. You are only 25 minutes away from the airport, and its very easy to find. It was the perfect place to explore the island from and we definetly would stay the next time we go.

Quel agréable, magnifique maison typique du pays, pleine de charme, très bien aménagée et très bien équipée. Tout était absolument parfait. Le jardin est splendide, avec sa porte bleue au fond qui donne accès directement à la mer! Quelle Vue à couper le souffle! Le Paradis tout simplement ! Un grand Merci à Joana et José pour votre gentillesse et bel accueil dans votre petit "cocon açorien"! Voisins très sympathiques! Les piscines naturelles sont très proches à pieds! À recommander vivement !

We are so sad to leave this beautiful place! The house’s description is very accurate to the T: perfect location- you will be able to explore the island easily, 4 equally sized bedrooms with a pullout as an extra, kitchen with all the utensils, pots, glasses, ect. Our favorite part was the rooftop deck with sunrises and sunrises! The host graciously made the reservations for local restaurants and recommended some extra activities that we didn’t include in our original plans. The communication was easy - usually reply came in 30 min. We would happily recommend this place to our friends and hopefully come back soon. Note: the house has lots of stairs that can create problems for people with limited mobility. It was not an issue for us but it might be an issue for some.

Casa completa, amplia y limpia. Camas cómodas, y el exterior muy agradable. Está céntrica pero es muy tranquila. El coche lo puedes dejar a la puerta y puedes ir andando a comprar,. Nos encantó el detalle a nuestra llegada.

Die Persönlichkeit der GastgeberInnen tritt deutlich zu Tage, es ist den Azoren entsprechend eingerichtet, wertig und schön. Die Gastgeberin hat uns sogar mit einigen Leckereien von der Insel überrascht, sodass wir am nächsten Morgen mit einem tollen Frühstück in den Tag starten konnten. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Es war unglaublich sauber und die Ausstattung übertraf unsere Erwartungen. Die Lage ist optimal, direkt am Meer gelegen und alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind schnell mit Auto erreichbar. Parkplätze sind direkt vor der Tür. Leider ist es sehr laut in den Schlafzimmern, da diese zur Hauptstraße ausgerichtet sind. Stand Ende Oktober: Bäckerei vor der Tür ist nicht mehr geöffnet.

We loved staying at Antonio's place. The quaint grape vine covered area was awesome. The kitchen was very well equipped. Perfect accomodations. Going to sleep and waking up every morning to the sound of the ocean was AMAZING. We were disappointed that a couple of the towns best restaurants were closed for the season however there were places to eat and to buy groceries. It was great to have the fresh bread and produce vans come by in the mornings. We really enjoyed our time in Ribeira Quente. Thanks Antonio, can't wait to visit again!

Wir haben uns in der Unterkunft sehr wohl gefühlt. Die gesamte Unterkunft ist sehr geräumig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Wir haben über das Neue Jahr ausgiebig gekocht und die Küche ist dafür perfekt ausgestattet. Die Lage eignet sich wunderbar für Ausflüge auf der ganzen Insel. Orte wie Furnas, Sete Cidades oder Nordeste sind mit dem Auto gut erreichbar. Filomena & Miguel sind tolle Gastgeber und haben uns sehr warmherzig Empfangen. Bei Fragen waren beide stehts erreichbar und hilfsbereit. Danke euch für die tolle Gastfreundschaft, wir kommen definitiv wieder:)

This place is amazing! The location is in the heart of town and right across the way from the beach. Everything is within walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and all the amenities of this home. Sofia was a wonderful host!
