It's more beautiful than the pictures! Wonderful views out large windows. While it's a neighborhood, with houses on either side, still very private and we enjoyed peaceful bliss. Fireplace was great and made the evenings warm and cozy. We had a cold snap during our stay, but the house was warm and comfortable. Hosts were super friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything. We got lucky with beautiful sunshine in February given the usual weather in this part of the world. However, in summer, when everyday is sunny and gorgeous, this place would be fantastic to enjoy both indoors and out! Will definitely try to come back here!

Peaceful place to stay a couple of days for sure. The cottage was cute, well furnished and decorated with some nice touches. This place will have you feeling right at home very quickly. I would stay here again.

A friend and I were in the area for a three day class at Quilted Strait. Wendy’s place was easy to find as it is very well marked at the road. She met us upon arrival and showed us around. The accommodations are spacious, super clean and anything you might need is available. Plenty of towels, blankets, kitchen items, shampoo, conditioner etc. She thought of everything. Also, there were fresh, delicious cookies waiting for us! I asked a few questions that I would have known the answer to if I hadn’t set a bag down on the table and covered up her provided information and she was always quick to kindly text back. The view here is lovely, big trees and a gorgeous bay. Enjoy!

We all have a great time at Sandy Hook. Very unique community, with fantastic views. The whole island lost power after a major wind storm on Friday night. We were without power on Saturday, but Darrell made sure we stayed comfortable by delivering firewood, instructions for generator and helping, troubleshooting and navigating our needs.

The airbnb was very nice, spacious, clean, new, and comfortable. The area is beautiful.

An absolutely incredible stay! This place is a mid-century gem, with the stunning Malm fireplace stealing the show—it was simply mesmerizing and set the perfect cozy vibe. The views were jaw-dropping and absolutely worth the climb up the stairs. The house was impeccably clean, well-stocked with everything we needed, and the beds were so comfortable that we all slept like babies. Every detail was thoughtfully curated, making it a truly relaxing and memorable getaway. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a unique, peaceful retreat. We can’t wait to come back!

What a lovely spot and stay! As someone who has princess and the pea tendencies for beds, I slept like a baby. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We saw a bald eagle fly right by on the first morning, and enjoyed watching the view out the windows while drinking the delicious coffee provided. This was a great jumping off spot to explore the northern Hood Canal area, even in the winter. We had a wonderful time and look forward to return!

This was a great option for me while I worked in Oak Harbor for nearly two weeks. What really sold me on renting Rusty and Michelle’s RV is that it has a full kitchen. The space was also the most affordable I found on Air BnB and it is a convenient 15 minute drive from down town oak harbor. This was my first stay in an RV so there was a learning curve. I was not prepared for the cooler evenings (my visit was during the last two weeks of October). The RV is equipped with a fire place and a radiator style heater, but I found it was more efficient to wear an additional layer and a pair of slippers. Overall my stay was very pleasant and I would absolutely rent again from Michell and Rusty!
