I recently had the pleasure of staying at this lovely home near the water, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The house is spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully decorated, making it feel like a true home away from home. The location is perfect, offering a peaceful, serene atmosphere with easy access to the water. Our host was incredibly welcoming, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. From thoughtful touches around the house to clear communication throughout. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing, well-maintained getaway. It was a memorable stay, and I would definitely return

To celebrate my milestone birthday, I was looking for a special place with an extensive wishlist. Whispering Sands ticked every box and didn’t disappoint. We were welcomed on arrival by Andrea… lovely lady and so informative. The house was very clean and well equipped. The complimentary gifts were above and beyond a typical Airbnb. The location was just beautiful with dolphins just 10 metres from the shore directly in front. Thank you for having us!

We were warmly welcomed by Andrea and provided an orientation of the house and gardens - which is rare and was appreciated. Andrea provided local restaurant, cafe, coffee and providore recommendations - although I cooked every night in the wonderfully stocked kitchen (with the breeze and view). The house was very clean and tidy. Many thoughtful touches (inclusions) made it special. The house is in a wonderful raised position, with beautiful views and the beach is private and easily accessible via a gate. The house has level access from the road to ground floor / entrance. The whole stay was extremely enjoyable and relaxing. I utilised many of Andrea’s recommendations. Gus (our dog) loved the amenities that were specially for him. He also loved having the beach to himself and the fully secured yard/s (front and rear) reduced my anxiety. Mostly he was happy to sit in the sun / shade on the deck sniffing the breeze watching the world go by. Thank you to the 55 team. Gary + Gus

Beautiful house & well decorated, located 3-5minutes from the local shops/restaurant’s which is convenient & only a few minutes walk from the beach. We really enjoyed our stay

We had a wonderful time , it was very peaceful and relaxing. The position of the place was incredible, the ocean at our doorstep and our own private rock jetty with lots of fish to catch and we even were greeted at the jetty by a turtle. This gate at the top was a little tight, especially for a 4x4 we just squeezed through, perhaps making the gate a little wider would be easier for some. This is a place I will most definitely return too. Thank you Prue who was a great host.

Lovely place for a quick weekend getaway with the kids! Everything was exactly as described, all amenities available and very clean. Unfortunately we had wet weather which are it difficult for a day, however the outside area with the plunge pool was resort like and an amazing area for playing, bbq and relaxing. Very clean, and everything was thought of. Also so grateful for the little delivery from the bay butler on our first morning. Definitely recommend to all who are considering.

We recently booked Richard’s Air BnB to stay whilst we got married. Richard’s house was exactly what we needed for our groomsmen to stay in one spot and get ready together, was close enough to everything and the men had a great time. They enjoyed the plunge pool! We had an incredible stay at this Airbnb in Nelson Bay! The location is absolutely perfect – just a 15-minute walk to the marina and a short drive to all the main attractions in the area. The house itself was spacious, modern, and exceptionally well-equipped, offering great value for our group of 14. The heated pool was a standout feature – perfectly maintained with just the right amount of chlorine, making it a delightful spot to relax and unwind. Brian and Sue were phenomenal hosts, going above and beyond to make our stay memorable. They even welcomed us with two bottles of wine – such a thoughtful touch! The amenities were modern and well-kept, ensuring a comfortable and hassle-free experience for everyone. This property truly exceeded our expectations, and we wouldn't hesitate to book again. Highly recommended for large groups or families looking for a fantastic getaway in Nelson Bay!

This had to be my favourite air bnb stay yet. The attention to detail to ensure their guests had a nice stay, was incredible. The house itself was gorgeous. Hosts friendly and accommodating, great location, extremely clean. We did not feel the need to contact the hosts for any questions as they had it all there for us. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely stay, the house is spacious, clean and well appointed. The hosts were very helpful in sorting out a minor issue on check in very quickly. The only downside was that the property is on the main road so traffic noise starts early morn (it wasn't so bad overnight) so if you are a light sleeper this might be a problem. Overall the property is exceptionally clean and a lovely place to stay, easily walkable to Shoal Bay and Nelson Bay for eating out, beaches and tours. Thank you to the hosts Rod and Jay for being so helpful and communicative over our stay.

Lovely house. Good condition. Spacious living area enhanced by a very comfortable outdoor decking area. Bedrooms well separated from one another. Kitchen particularly well equiped with a stand out coffee machine (better than local cafes). Five minutes walk from main beach / cafes. Deb and Rory responsive to all enquiries. Really nothing to complain about and exactly as shown in photographs.

Great place! Kerrie and Barry were lovely. Recommended local places to eat and places to see. House was amazing, kids loved it - lots of provided games for them. Such a family friendly home and very clean. It was a home away from home. Beautiful location, walk down to the beach & short walk to the crest cafe. Our whole family loved this stay & Will definitely be coming back, always helps when the owners are lovely. We loved Anna bay.

We had a lovely family long weekend here - an easy single level nicely furnished beach style house with massive private back yard surrounded by trees, beautiful covered outdoor living area. Loved listening to the birdlife. The private outdoor showers to rinse off after the beach were a highlight. Should have booked for longer. Highly recommended.

When I found Magnolia House on AirBNB it looked so perfect at such a good price I asked the host if it was a scam. This property is breath taking. 4 of us girlfriends in our 40s went for a weekend away and instantly wished we had a week. We got glorious weather and spent a huge amount of our time in the pool. The kitchen is really well equipped, the beds so comfortable, it is perfectly designed for entertaining. We enjoyed table tennis battles and admired the gym equipment...from afar haha. At the end if the street is a gorgeous short bush walk to the beach for a refreshing dip and to say hello to the many dogs that were also enjoying the beach. A very short drive to Nelson Bay and less than 10 mins to Shoal Bay. Kathryn was the perfect host, providing local advice and even letting us extend our checkout time at the last minute. I can't wait to come back.

The house has best location, close to everything - just in the middle of Shoal Bay & Fingal bay and few minutes drive away from Nelson Bay. Lovely house, fully equipped kitchen & spacious living area. Although we did not notice there is only one indoor bath room, but the outside shower has hot water so it helps. And there is no wifi connection if this is a thing. We only stay for one night so it is not a big problem. Suzy is very responsive and super helpful in recommending best spots in the area. She is also very kind when letting us having a late check-out. Overall lovely host, very pleasant & happy stay. Definitely come back if have a chance.
