District de Porto : locations de vacances avec petit déjeuner

This was a dream vacation - we had just moved to Portugal and spent 2 weeks getting setup. We wanted a quiet week as a family to rest before school started. This place was perfect: perched on a mountainside in the middle of vines, the space was quiet, peaceful and beautifully designed and appointed. Paulo, the husband, is an architect who refurbishes vintage designer furniture. Teyna, the wife, is an amazing chef. Her breakfasts (included) we delicious and the dinners they offer in their adjoining restaurant and well crafted and tasty. Their place is pet friendly - we brought our dog, and they have a dog, two cats and two birds. We did outings to Porto, nearby Roman ruins, historic villages and swam in the rivers running through them. It was delightful.

Antonio is a great gentleman and took great care of us during our short stay. This is a really historical house built with solid stones. History happened here. Unfortunately we cannot stay for the full length of our stay because the rough stone stairs and stone walls are dangerous to our crawling baby. This property is better fitted for older kids. Antonio was gracious to give us a refund on the nights and helped us to move to a new location with late checkout (very late). He is always ready to help at any time. We are grateful with all his help.

Nuno’s place exceeded our expectations. It has a beautiful balcony with a view over the Douro river. The pool area is peaceful and breakfast provided was an added bonus. Nuno was very helpful and provided us with great recommendations for wine tasting and spots to visit. The apartment is spacious, clean and has a small kitchen which we were able to use to cook in the evenings.

If Paulo’s place is available, stop looking elsewhere and book it NOW since it is the closest thing to heaven that you can find in Douro! The place is amazing and the view is breathtaking! In addition to everything that is already perfect, from the fresh fruits and bread in the morning to the restaurant recommendations and reservations, they were always so kind and helpful! We had an amazing time and would come back anytime!

Todo ha sido perfecto. El anfitrión muy amable y atento. Nos hemos sentido muy agusto y la casa es como se describe y acogedora. Estuvimos muy contentos. Volveríamos sin duda.

Estadia absolutamente maravilhosa. O espaço é encantador, com todos os confortos da vida moderna, mas com a traça de uma antiga quinta conservada. A atenção ao detalhe é imensa - a decoração, o conforto da cama, o pequeno-almoço maravilhoso e completo. Apesar dos espaços de refeição e piscina serem comuns nunca senti que fosse um problema - havia sempre espaço e o espírito dos hóspedes era de “não incomodar e não ser incomodado”. Os anfitriões são de extrema simpatia, prontidão e amabilidade. Não poderia ter feito uma melhor escolha, fica apenas a vontade de voltar em breve.

Lo recomiendo 100% todo estaba muy limpio y era muy moderno, igual que en las fotos! Me encantó! Me quedaría de nuevo allí! Lo recomiendo, la cocina estaba muy bien equipada, y la respuesta a los mensajes era inmediata!

The stay here was just perfect. Great location. Walking distance to most places. Transit stops nearby. The place was fantastic. Felt like home away from home. Fridge was stocked with breakfast items. Lots of appliances and kitchware to suit all your needs if you wanted to make your meals yourself. I just loved staying here. Ana was a fantastic host. Very responsive to all communications. Always very thorough with replies. Parking is convenient close by. You will not be disappointed if you stay here. For me it was perfect all around.

L'appartement est parfait mais l'emplacement est surtout incroyable. Les propriétaires sont très gentil et nous on donné plusieurs activités à faire lors de notre séjour. Je recommande fortement.

Die Wohnung ist genau so wie beschrieben. Wir hatten die Wohnung im 3.Stock und der Ausblick am frühen Morgen auf Porto ist unbezahlbar. Viele Restaurants in der Umgebung. Wir wurden bei unserer Ankunft herzlich empfangen.

Très bel appartement. Service d’hôtellerie irréprochable avec petit déjeuner inclus et bien proportionné. Seul petit bémol pour l’extérieur parfois bruyant mais indépendant de l’hôte (boules quies à disposition). Petit geste attentionné de pouvoir laisser les valises dans le hall d’accueil en attendant de repartir à l’aéroport. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir Merci pour l’accueil

We really enjoyed our stay with Jean and Luz. The apartment is beautiful, lovely decor and furnishings and is meticulously looked after and cleaned. The area is great. Many shops and restaurants very close, plus an easy walk to the historic district of Porto. Jean offered to assist us with restaurants and activities. I took him up on this & actually contacted him a couple nights before we checked in at his place. He made recommendations and set us up for dinner and show reservations - way beyond what I expected. When we arrived, he showed us around the neighborhood and walked through the area with us on a map. Both Jean and his wife Luz are great hosts! We'll be back!

De passage pour un mariage au Portugal, nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour. Hôte très accueillant, propreté irréprochable, hôte très serviable. Nous avons passés un très bon séjour.

He viajado por muchas ciudades, me he hospedado en muchos hoteles y posadas; he visto y he sentido que es una atención genuina pero jamás comprada a una atención tan cálida como la Candida y Diago. He quedado maravillado con la sencilla y hermosa decoración, con lo limpio y pulcro de todos los espacios. Creo que Diago ( el multifacético gerente) es un mago, tiene un don que Dios le ha dado y ese don lo ha sabido usar pera servir a los invitados. Sí alguna vez vuelvo a Espinho no dudare en quedarme en este encantador lugar. Ame cada segundo que estuve aquí. Gracias por toda la atención…

Really enjoyed the hostel and would stay again. It was focused around the surfing in the morning which was great, Marco is a great teacher and you get plenty of time on the waves. Raquel is a lovely host and the food is excellent, there's a bit of a lack of local things to do and places to eat within walking distance but the nearest city isn't too far if you want to explore in the afternoons/evenings. Would totally reccomend the hostel to anyone wanting to learn how to surf, many thanks : )

Loved everything about this place. Inês was a wonderful host, she was friendly and welcoming, ensuring our stay was comfortable from start to finish. The property is a beautiful oasis, perfect for a countryside retreat. I couldn’t recommend this place more (If I could give 6 stars, I would!)

There are very few places that can live up to the moniker of a truly special location. It take a rare blend of a thoughtful beautiful space, impeccable service, and genuine/ super friendly hosts. My only regret about writing this review is that I am sure once people discover this gem I will find it very difficult to find an available opening again as it is sure to be in high demand. Enrico and his entire family are the perfect hosts, the included simple breakfast of fresh bread, yogurt, fruit and assorted cheese is such a nice treat to wake up to every morning and partake in their amazing Dining Room. I can't recommend highly enough trying their tasting dinner in the evening, as Enrico apparently is a 1 start rated Michelin Chef and the food is amazing. Even if you don't book a room to stay in you should go to the restaurant one evening if you are in Porto. My room was spotless, very comfortable and beautifully laid out. Super Comfortable Bed as well. This place is special.
