Lovely setting in the valley with the river rushing by, out porch looked up the river and walks around the grounds were very peaceful, we really enjoyed the area. There were so many small details that made the place special, lighting in the evenings along rhe paths and by the waterfall, kind and responsive communication, lovely and well designed interior, an amazing bathtub with piping hot water, comfy sheets, firewood and more. We will definitely be back.

we spent 3 nights on my vacation at Silvio's house, it was very peaceful and I would say perfect for a couple. he was very attentive while making himself unnoticed which I personally just loved, strongly recommend!

Wonderful stay here for 5 days. Helena was quick and responsive throughout. When I arrived, I met Paula, Sofia, Martinho and Francisco who welcomed and showed me the house and area. So generous to offer me a bottle of wine, water, biscuits on my arrival. The house is cozy and peaceful with a view of the farm where the sheep roam during the day. Comfortable bed, linen and beautiful antique decor to keep with the theme. Kitchen has a small fridge, kettle, microwave and stove. Beautiful spaces to walk and rest under fruit trees, 2 swimming pools in a peaceful natural setting. Even my cat, Samson enjoyed it. For company, we also had a cute friendly dog, Nina. It is a short drive to centre of Fafe, a lovely town with charming architecture. Helena provided useful recommendations on what to do and where to go. Guimaraes is a beautiful place, only 20 minutes from the house. All in all, a great stay and I'm happy to revisit one day again. Thanks for a great stay!

The home is a great place to just get away from it all and relax. The grounds are peaceful with lots of fruit trees. If you like nature you will love it.

This place is fantastic! We stayed with our 3-year-old toddler, and the enclosed property made it a stress-free experience. He could walk around freely without any risk of wandering off, which gave us peace of mind. The only area we needed to keep an eye on was the pool, but otherwise, he was free to explore safely. The kitchen is incredibly well-equipped—with plenty of cutlery, glasses, plates, and everything we needed. Honestly, it's the best-stocked kitchen I've seen in an Airbnb! We had such a great time and would love to return for a longer stay!

Nossa estadia foi ótima! André estava sempre atento quando algo era perguntado a ele. Aproveitamos o jardim e os bancos que ficam nele para bater papo e tomar algumas bebidas. Tudo limpo e organizado! Espero voltar no verão para aproveitar a piscina.

Nous avons été enchantés par notre séjour. La maison était propre, la vue sur la vallée du Douro est tout simplement fantastique, depuis la véranda, depuis la piscine, depuis la pergola face à la cuisine… paradisiaque. Quelques voisins, mais la végétation isole bien, le jardin est grand. Quand la végétation. Aura un peu grandi au bout de la piscine, ça sera vraiment parfait !

Nous avons passé trois jours dans la petite maison de Manuel (celle avec la chambre à l'étage). Tout était parfait. A notre arrivée, un delicieux gâteau au chocolat et du porto maison nous attendaient. La propriété est magnifique, avec arbres, fleurs, animaux (deux chiens super sympas et un chat tout mignon, un poulailler), une aire de jeu, un babyfoot, un petit terrain de foot. La zone avec la piscine est très chouette et totalement sécurisée pour les petits. L'espace en commun pour les deux maisons de location est composée d'un espace barbecue et plusieurs tables, chaises et fauteuils. Ici pas de bruit, pas de circulation. un vrai havre de paix. L'espace cuisine de la maison contient tout ce qui est nécessaire pour cuisiner confortablement. Et enfin Manuel est un hôte présent, super sympatique et très généreux. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir dans sa petite maison que je vous recommande sans hésitation 😀

Passamos dias incríveis na casa do Avô. Fomos recebidos pela Ana, que nos aguardou com um café quentinho, a lareira aquecendo a sala, e nos contou a história da casa o que deixa a experiência ainda mais completa. Camas confortáveis, roupas de cama e banho de qualidade, tudo muito limpo e organizado e cozinha muito bem equipada. Todos os cômodos foram muito bem pensados tanto para viver momentos em conjunto, quanto a privacidade dos quartos, que são isolados da área comum. A vista é de tirar o fôlego e o pôr do sol emoldurado pelas janelas, parece mais uma tela na decoração da sala. Já prevemos um retorno no Verão para aproveitar a piscina. Super rocomendo viver essa experiência.

Tivemos uma estadia maravilhosa nesta casa! O jardim é um verdadeiro encanto, proporcionando um cenário tranquilo e relaxante. O conforto do aquecimento central foi essencial durante o inverno, garantindo-nos uma estadia quente e agradável. A localização da casa, numa aldeia tranquila, é perfeita para quem procura paz e sossego. O anfitrião foi extremamente simpático e atento, com uma comunicação impecável, o que fez toda a diferença na nossa experiência. A limpeza do espaço estava impecável, e a cozinha estava bem equipada, o que facilitou muito as nossas refeições. Recomendo vivamente esta casa a quem quiser uma experiência memorável e cheia de conforto!

Wir waren mit unseren beiden Söhnen, acht und zehn Jahre alt, zehn Tage in Pedros Haus. Es war sehr sehr schön dort, die Kinder konnten im Pool planschen, wir haben viel gekocht, gegrillt und gelesen und haben Terrasse mit Hängematte und den riesigen traumhaften Garten genutzt. Mit dem Kanu konnte man direkt vom Garten aus auf den Fluss. Nazarè, die sich täglich um den Garten kümmerte, hat uns vieles über die Umgebung berichtet und uns mit Zitronen und Gemüse aus ihrem eigenen Garten beschenkt. Wir haben Ausflüge durch die Weinberge gemacht und auch Tagesausflüge nach Porto und Amarante. Danke, Pedro und Nazarè für die wunderschöne und erholsame Zeit!

Fantastic holiday home with a spectacular private garden. For us it was the perfect place to spend with our family. The hosts are super friendly and easy to communicate with. A big bonus is that there is a good restaurant 200m from the house. Good to know, the beds are not suitable for tall people. Another small remark is that all basics such as dishwasher tablets, matches, extra toilet paper and bin bags were not provided.

Incredible house, amazing grounds, very close to numerous places of interest, but also a haven to just spend time in, swim, etc. Very helpful and welcoming hosts.

El alojamiento es perfecto para un grupo de amigos, en nuestro caso éramos 8 adultos y 4 niños que se lo pasaron genial correteando por el jardín. Eugenio se mostró atento y preocupado porque todo fuese bien.

We chose Carmens house because we are a tired family who wanted peace and quiet without noise and other people. Carmens house in fairly isolated and set in huge grounds on what felt like mountain sides with beautiful views down the valley. There’s so much space/land to explore and you get this sense of rural perfection. The pool is what drew us there and did not disappoint - it’s huge, deep and private. We stayed 8 days and barely left the pool. We went to Paredes (15 min drive) each morning to do a food shop in Lidl (avoid awful local super markets) and stock up on healthy food. We bbq on an old school bbq as the sun slowly set and ate on the private patio in dappled sunshine. The dogs are lovely and my kids adored them. Inside is traditional (if a little old) but clean, spacious and comfy. Beds clean if a little small for two tall adults (140cm) and a little hard. Carmen is an amazing host and helped us loads - but she’s not intrusive. We are already planning to return! We loved it!

We had the most wonderful stay in Maria's beautiful house. We felt like we had our own stately home & botanical gardens! So peaceful, and the pool & garden was stunning. An easy walk to the beach and local restaurants, and an easy metro journey to central Porto. Maria was the perfect host, always responsive & even gave us a lift from the metro! Muito obrigada Maria! Thoroughly recommend.
